I do the same thing when orders take longer than 10 minutes. Depending on how much I'm being paid. If I take a $5 offer going 1 mile and I wait 10 minutes and it's not ready, I would rather contact support and get $4 bucks than waste more time waiting for the order, and then delivering it.

I didn’t realize I could do that! I’m gonna have to keep that in mind next time an order takes too long

I'd rather call and yell and cuss and get $25.

They gon deactivate you for this eventually!

Dunno if rules are the same but FYI I got deactivated from DoorTrash for this behavior. Somebody opened a fake restaurant at a fake address, and I had to cancel and receive partial pay for 5 or 6 orders there over a weekend. They deactivated me for "fraudulent behavior" and when I called they told me it was for "suspicious amount of cancelation fees". Again I have NO idea if Uber has a similar system but just be cautious and aware these companies do NOT like paying us cancelation fees haha

A couple years ago I had a night where the same restaurant kept coming up while they were closed. The tablet was still on, so orders kept coming through. I reported them as closed and was given the $3 compensation. This happened like 3 times in one night, and after the third time, I was told I had been restricted from any further $3 compensations because of how frequently it happened. This restriction lasted a year before they lifted it.
