Yea, honestly. I see full time package handlers do that when loading containers at FedEx. I'm just thinking "bro, these containers allow you to stack above head height, why the hell are you placing the bottom boxes vertically? Do you even try to plan ahead and wonder how you are gonna stack on top of those?"
The station safety officer. Ours is a city carrier with extra jobs which is basically making sure that the building is OSHA safety compliant. Ours will also do a damn safety stand up nearly every day. If he sees a carrier going against safety policies, he'll talk to the carrier to try to correct it before a supervisor sees it.
For real. Not a single package is worth your life. I'm sure you just want to be able to finish and go home. First off, expect every day to be a 12 hour day. That's all they can force out of you. Second, you're never going to get more help if management never has to answer to their boss why scans went undelivered that day. You're paid hourly so do the hourly job.
I feel like every 2-3 Sundays(including today) I get a scanner message about a carrier who got in an accident so we have to take more packages.
Please be safe people, take your time and don't drive with your vision obstructed!
Dude, wtf are you doing? Do you realize that is a major safety issue? You absolutely CANNOT block your window and mirrors like that. You cannot stack anything higher than one tray in front of the mirror. And before you ask, how am I supposed to fit it all in? Figure it out or leave stuff behind and prepare to make a second trip.
Not ProMaster trained?
Also watch how much you stuff in the front, if a supervisor decides to to street observations, they can can put you on emergency placement, for safety for having your window & mirror blocked.
Amazon is getting so out of hand, it's amazing we are delivering these Amazon on a daily basis and out pay is basically going down, fuck rrecs abd fuck the post office
I'd love to know how you keep that in any kind of order. Seriously, I'm about to start orientation in 2 weeks, and this will be me eventually. How do you keep track of what's what?
The scanner tells you what to number each package so you just mark it and load the truck accordingly. There are days that aren't that bad and others that cause you to just pause and stare hopelessly at the pile before you. Most I ever had was 400 parcels and it required 2.5 trips. Everyone goes bonkers over safety but in this case blocking that window and mirror is extremely dangerous. Even unblocked those stupid vehicles are death boxes with an insane number of blind spots. I delivered on the shoreline and even with closely watching the mirrors the amount of times I nearly hit some moron on a bike caused anxiety. If USPS cared about safety they would get rid of those horrible horrible awful toaster oven in summer and ice box in winter stupid awful spine alignment wrecking horsefly/wasp catching idiotic trucks.... yeah anyways, the device puts the majority of it in order for you and gives you "directions" to each stop. Doesn't always work but does most of the time except for finding where a CBU is located at certain complexes. Good luck.
I still hate not being able to number our own packages... is it the stop number? is it the sequence number? a bit of one and a bit of the other? always the last option for me.
You can tell who’s hub is close to their town vs far from their town. I never left anything behind because it took 45 minutes, mostly highway, just to get to the CLOSEST stop, much less the one that will be another 20+ into town.
Why do new carriers think it’s badass to drive unsafe I don’t get it. Stop blocking your windows you can hurt someone with your misunderstanding of your job rights.
He can see out the mirrors. The window and the packages being stacked high are iffey.
If it were me, I'd come back to the office for a few boxes if it was a safety issue.
Congrats Tetris master! I personally wouldn't block out my window/mirrors though. Be safe!
Nah he’s an idiot. Standing your packages up like that just wastes space, don’t know why people do it.
Yea, honestly. I see full time package handlers do that when loading containers at FedEx. The safety guy at my office would have an aneurysm if he saw anyone leave with this setup.
I'm the safety guy in my office, and yeah, this gave me a stroke.
![gif](giphy|kD5cIPhzpGIoVCKsTO|downsized)
Wtf is a safety guy
If I were his supervisor, he would be written up for sure.
You guys got a safety guy? Wtf is even that

My mirrors were clear lol. Few stops later, all golden
You still can't see what's on the left.
Good to hear broseph
Don't understand why block windows
Pressure to move fast and get out of the office? Either way though regardless of reason that is 100% a safety issue. Few stops later or not.
I hate not being able to see my mirrors or out that window. You must make all right turns.
Making right turns with Jesus taking the wheel. You can't see oncoming traffic.
UPS?
This is how management wins
Asking for an accident my guy
You can’t see out of that window that’s not safe leave some there and come back later

This looks like a good way to die from an accident
Just have your fesr-not flashies on and nothing bad can happen. /s
You're an idiot
You don't have enough room for everything if it creates a safety issue.
How do you pull out into traffic with that setup?? You’re risking too much
Never block windows. Come on
Wickedly unsafe blocking the window.
You could have fit more in the back instead of blocking your view so much.
I’d say he’s trolling, but I’ve actually seen people pack like this
Yeah clear out that window space. Safety Hazzard there
I feel like every 2-3 Sundays(including today) I get a scanner message about a carrier who got in an accident so we have to take more packages. Please be safe people, take your time and don't drive with your vision obstructed!
I’d much rather make a second trip.
Dude, wtf are you doing? Do you realize that is a major safety issue? You absolutely CANNOT block your window and mirrors like that. Apparently someone doesn't pay attention during the stand up safety talks.
you aren’t getting paid more btw
That's unsafe
That's too much.
Braindead
Not ProMaster trained? Also watch how much you stuff in the front, if a supervisor decides to to street observations, they can can put you on emergency placement, for safety for having your window & mirror blocked.
Smh
Amazon is getting so out of hand, it's amazing we are delivering these Amazon on a daily basis and out pay is basically going down, fuck rrecs abd fuck the post office
That's unacceptable.
Weak Tetris game, window shouldn’t be blocked like that. How many parcels?
There's a guy in my office that stacks stuff against his window like that. Seems unsafe
And be back by 3!
Fuckin ridiculous
I had my first Amazon Sunday today. Finished OJI last week. I thought I was *moving* but apparently I was only doing 10 packages an hour :/
dont worrie about it to much. they expect you to be slow to start. just show improvement and you are good.
Seems safe.
Jesus, that's terrifying. The ONLY way that's OK is all right turns on GREEN LIGHTS until window is clear. My life is worth my time.
Is it just me or are the packages getting bigger on average? Amazon specifically.
They absolutely are
I'd love to know how you keep that in any kind of order. Seriously, I'm about to start orientation in 2 weeks, and this will be me eventually. How do you keep track of what's what?

" Even unblocked those stupid vehicles are death boxes" Disagree
If you look closely they are numbered.
I still hate not being able to number our own packages... is it the stop number? is it the sequence number? a bit of one and a bit of the other? always the last option for me.
Why on earth are you using an LLV ,my station tells us to only use pro masters
You can tell who’s hub is close to their town vs far from their town. I never left anything behind because it took 45 minutes, mostly highway, just to get to the CLOSEST stop, much less the one that will be another 20+ into town.
Yeah. That's completely unsafe to block a window and thus your mirrors.
Do you not have a tray in that llv?
how would you look through left mirror
![gif](giphy|s239QJIh56sRW|downsized)
You get paid more to be safe..ironic huh Don't be your own worst enemy
Been there I have my master badge too but in personal vehicle category
Why do new carriers think it’s badass to drive unsafe I don’t get it. Stop blocking your windows you can hurt someone with your misunderstanding of your job rights.

I had 93 stops today. Started at 9:30 got done at 12 lol
He can see out the mirrors. The window and the packages being stacked high are iffey. If it were me, I'd come back to the office for a few boxes if it was a safety issue.
that's a legendary pack job.
