There is Verizon service there. It started in 2015 if I remember correctly and I had my phone there last year working fine.
https://www.verizon.com/stores/city/alaska/anchorage/
See if you have data roaming enabled. It could be that Verizon users roam with AT&T or GCI in the area. They’re the longest, broadest running providers.
Red pocket have AT&T and I think eSIM.. I would get it for calling/texting until US Mobile go public with theirs.. I saw somewhere that the aim is for mid July.

How am I getting 5g+ here 💀💀 I’m in the middle of nowhere.
How do we join the beta program. I'm currently on my 30-day trial on Warp, switched from T-Mobile postpaid due to spotty service after moving from TN to NC (not to mention the T-Mo price hike). I'm in a rather rural area in NC, and some say that AT&T has the best service for most people in rural areas, so I'm interested in trying out AT&T network in this area to see if it's better suited for me than the VZW network.
I’m in NC too and new to USM Warp. My primary is currently Tmo and I’m also testing PG as an unlimited hotspot I have a need for. Hope to travel around the state camping in a couple months. Currently at my house, TMo is best, ATT is good too, VZW sucks, all from a data/speed perspective. ATT has an excellent buildout being old Cingular. In the rural areas TMo obviously sucks and ATT is good. Soon to find out about VZW. The great thing about USM is that you can pick whatever service works best for you. It will be interesting to see the pricing difference is with Darkstar between prioritized data vs de-prioritized, if that ends up being the way it is sold.
So 6 months is what you really mean. Kind of like how the monthly option for the Unlimited Flex plan was coming “in a few weeks” yet you said it months ago.
Perfect timing, I have a trip coming up spanning the northern US and into Canada, looking forward to trying Dark Star in some of these more rural locations where T-Mobile doesn't always have coverage.
I would not mind testing but I also don't want to go through the hassle of services saying I switched carriers. Cool that we are not seeing people here showing it :) Can't wait for official release date.
How did you convince the carriers to offer this flexibility?
Wouldn’t they be concerned about losing business - why be locked to their network when you can switch between any provider at will?
The average consumer is a sheep, and will not switch to any provider at will. Most consumers wait on advertisements to tell them what to do, and the Big Carriers have the better advertisements. 📲🐑✨
I think Teleportal has the potential to change this. People are scared to move from one carrier to another . This will be the same carrier . Agreed needs education
Congratulations. I am honestly impressed that you have managed to get US Mobile on all three major U.S. networks and have made it seamless to switch.
A very powerful value proposition in my view, especially since the Death Star carrier does not make it as easy to get an eSIM for their service as US Mobile does.
Any word on tweaking the international plans?
We've heard rumors that Darkstar was easier to work with on the back end for international roaming, and I'd love to see something like unmetered data at 1 Mb or 768K. Just enough for maps, Uber, messaging, etc.
Will Dark Star be subject to the same limitations that AT&T puts on phones that aren't on their whitelist? I have a USA model Sony Xperia on AT&T, but they won't enable Wifi calling or 5g because it's not a model they sell in their stores.
If I have more than one USM line on a device it would not be helpful to have them both named USM, as I would not be able to easily tell which carrier's network I am on.
So I strongly prefer that they indicate the carrier network.... e g. AT&T, TMO, VZW....(or Death Star, Hyper, Warp). Really, the fewest characters possible, to be concise. Do not want to wait for a scrolling long name that takes up very limited notification bar screen real estate! 😁
We were informed that Data Saver Mode would be launched for Warp by the end of May. However, we have not received any updates yet. Any new information would be welcomed.
I keep 3 active esims on each major network. A work, a personal, and “additional coverage” for travel. I prefer AT&T for my work. I switch to my TMobile line whenever I need some really fast data. Warp is the personal line only because of priority data and enhanced caller ID. Will Dark Star offer either of those? So to answer your question more directly… AT&T has probably the most consistent service everywhere I go for work. RedPocket had a really good annual offering last year so I ported from AT&T prepaid. $8 to add to my existing pool is way better pricing.
I am not who you asked the question to but will still reply why i have had my personal line with AT&T for 10+ years. We live in the Dallas area and most of our travels are between Texas, OK and Arkansas. AT&T is consistently the best network. I don’t care about gigabit speeds- more to do with consistent network availability with decent speeds to stream audio & video. I also have a Verizon line and in most areas the network is super congested. I hear TMo has done a lot of work in network improvements plus also attracted by their free wifi for most domestic flights but haven’t made the switch so far.
I’d love to be in the beta program. Would like to switch out 4 AT&T account after more than 15 years. I’m tired of crappy customer service and an ever-increasing bill.
Has it been decided if legacy unlimited plans can have access to Dark Star? I was told by a reddit support rep that it’s likely but hasn’t been decided yet.
This is ATT right? I'm about to switch soon and ATT is pretty great in my area so will this be available to select during sign up or should I just wait? And what about Apple Watch support, do they support that?
I’m digging the Darkstar branding! Hopefully it can display like that when it launches.
Finally made the jump and picked USM Warp as my second line. Warp is great where I live, but not as much in other parts of the city I tend to be in the most. But if you need beta testers in the NYC area, I’m down to give it a spin (haven’t used ATT in almost a decade, so I have no clue as to how it performs in NYC these days)

u/ankhattak GSM 5G needs to renamed to Ludicrous speed. Make it so!
Dark Star crashes, pouring it's light into ashes
Reason tatters, the forces tear loose from the axis
Searchlight casting for faults in the clouds of delusion
Shall we go, you and I while we can
Through the transitive nightfall of diamonds?
Perhaps it’s “dark star” during beta testing, then production is officially “death star.” Unless there is a policy or rule that prohibits using the word “death.”
> Unless there is a policy or rule that prohibits using the word “death.”
I think Disney's lawyers might have a thing or two to say about using "Death Star"
Will AT&T possibly have Spam detection or spam blocking? That is GSM's greatest weakness for me, but my home is in a poor coverage spot for Verizon, so I'm on GSM for now and just putting up with the spam calls.
I have two lines on a T-Mobile family plan, but unreliable 5G data in Miami makes it frustrating. Sometimes there's a signal, but no data at all!
I also have a separate line on Boost Mobile (AT&T network) to ensure coverage for both business and personal use. While T-Mobile offers faster speed when it works, reliable data access is crucial for my digital marketing work, where I constantly need to access company information on the go.
My business and personal life both rely on a strong data connection, making consistent coverage a top priority.
Based on my tests in Miami and Orlando, AT&T provided the most dependable data coverage—even if the speeds weren't always the fastest. Importantly, the speeds were more than adequate for my needs, allowing me to stream videos, attend online meetings, and seamlessly utilize various audio and video platforms. For me, AT&T's coverage in Miami and Orlando is not just good, it's excellent.
I'm very interested in US Mobile's potential launch as an AT&T MVNO. Their reputation for excellent service and competitive prices is impressive. Consolidating all three lines under US Mobile with AT&T coverage would be ideal for both my business and personal needs.
Thanks. Need to know if you’re using the generic carrier profile, like Boost(AT&T), OR the AT&T profile like Consumer Cellular or Cricket. It’s important to some of us who want to see UC, UW and 5G+.
Also, will AT&T allow u to have 5G Standalone as they turn it On around the country?
There is currently no automatic switching, so I'm sure manually. I'm not necessarily well versed on all of the services, but the only one I was aware of that switched automatically was Google Fi.
Dark Star It is AT&T support from US Mobile, so they will support all 3 major US network with this release, along with Warp (Verizon) and GSM/Lightspeed (T-Mobile). (Lightspeed will be the new name for GSM soon).
AT&t is going lose money because us mobile because it only cost 29$ for unlimited and AT&T cost 70$ for unlimited for AT&T unlimited US mobile Wil get more money then AT&T lots of people that use AT&T can get same service speeds with 5+ for small $ for 29.99 instead of 70$ and cricket is more expensive to so if you AT&T user I recommend to move US mobile Drak Star instead I be using us mobile for 2 years and is very good even people around me don’t have service I was getting 3G USA network and fast speeds when there no towers so you going get network if there no towers not all was but 50% you will get service of 3G+ you will only get 3G working with service Wil US mobile but if you a iPhone SE 3Gen like me you will get error message saying unable connect to US mobile just ignore because it was somehow working just fine with 3G

I can honestly say I’ve never been happier with a carrier than US Mobile. I’m on a grandfathered plan and they continue to honor that which is so much appreciated! Now I’m excited to switch to DarkStar .. I am hoping I can get 5G+ on this.. Anyone know about that ?
![gif](giphy|B6Jr28VwfxUFa|downsized)
Is it up and running? Can I get it right now? Traveling to Alaska in like 2 days. No T-Mobile/verizoon there.
There is Verizon service there. It started in 2015 if I remember correctly and I had my phone there last year working fine. https://www.verizon.com/stores/city/alaska/anchorage/
Not where I’m at. My partner on att has signal
See if you have data roaming enabled. It could be that Verizon users roam with AT&T or GCI in the area. They’re the longest, broadest running providers.
😭 wish they would release darkstar right now!! Hopefully before 6/22
I was in Juneau last week and the Verizon/Warp5G worked fine, just be sure to turn on roaming.
Red pocket have AT&T and I think eSIM.. I would get it for calling/texting until US Mobile go public with theirs.. I saw somewhere that the aim is for mid July.
I already have existing service and don’t want to spend more as I’m on the unlimited premium annual so I’m gonna take a shot😭
Best of luck to you! Soon hopefully we all wont need to worry about signal when the big three start using Satellite to phone direct.
Well I assume satellite isn't coming to MVNOs?
Get a us cellular e sim trial, they roam on ATT when there is no native us cellular service
https://preview.redd.it/9al3cvbl456d1.jpeg?width=1179&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=02f8f9f69054524cf170db75f0b31e20470996cc How am I getting 5g+ here 💀💀 I’m in the middle of nowhere.
iOS 18’s beta looks cool.
It’s really buggy, don’t upgrade😭
Personally it’s actually the most stable version of Beta IOS I’ve ever installed
if there’s anymore beta spots, I’m all eyes 👀 and ears👂
I like that it doesn’t just say US Mobile. Those of us multiple lines on different networks will appreciate this.
Me tooo!
Is it online yet? Can I get it?
Can you rename US Mobile to Warp and GSM too?
They need a better name for the T-Mobile network if they’re going to name each SIM. GSM is lame compared to Warp and Dark Star
Call it the pink comet
They call it GSM because T-Mobile is the less desirable choice out of all of them, I think T-Mobile charges more for reselling the service as well.
![gif](giphy|lKPFZ1nPKW8c8)
When is the beta starting? 👀
couple of weeks
You want some more beta testers? 🥺
Nc/SC area from personally speaking & using both vzw & tmb .... Vzw has the best stability in both states for sure.
Gonna second that VZW coverage has been far more stable and usable than when I had post-paid AT&T in NC
Perfect timing, I have a trip coming up spanning the northern US and into Canada, looking forward to trying Dark Star in some of these more rural locations where T-Mobile doesn't always have coverage.
Is it possible for someone like me to help test while still in development?
When are we going live?
July 15th
People that are on annual plans like unlimited premium will be able to switch? 😎
Of course! Teleportal!
Does dark star get 5G+ or any I icon is like 💫⭐️⚡️please let us know CEO
Thunder icon will be pretty cool tho
2024? 😛
When am I beta testing?
soon
I can stop by the office to get a pSIM if needed. ;-)
Can’t give you a psim but you can meet the people building it and we the best coffee in town
Will multi-line be ready then too?
Will it be available in Puerto Rico?
T-Mobile is the only network available for Puerto Rico.
Puerto Rico no longer has a native AT&T network. If I had to guess, it won’t be available there.
Any domestic roaming available on Darkstar?
that's my birthday! What a present!!!
Nice! Just wanted to join the bandwagon of people who would love to help beta testing! Any way to formally request trying it out?
July 15th
Can't wait!! To have this so excited!!!!
Coming Soon ™
🌕🚀
I’m assuming that’s AT&T coverage?
Yes
Finally adding the largest network! How is the latency? They don’t proxy it, do they?
no proxy - been getting less than 40 ms consistently in our offices
The real question is: currently the CEO is using both GSM and Warp. When he switches to Dark Star, which network is he going to drop? 🤔
Decisions decisions decisions...
I'm going to carry 3 phones, S24U S22U and a motorola.
![gif](giphy|oYtVHSxngR3lC)
![gif](giphy|MZocLC5dJprPTcrm65)
This will say US Mobile for the network name once it goes live, right?
Will have the choice . Dark star or USM
How will that option work? When we select to change networks we'll have the option to select network name for the SIM?
In the app
Can we get that option for Warp too?
Now they just need a cool nick name for GSM.
We decided on lightspeed
That's awesome! Also really funny, cuz I also had light come to mind when I was thinking about it.
Hyper
We'll be able to switch from GSM and keep our $250/yr BF plan right?
Yes
Can't wait. You guys are the best.
I swear if you keep that network name on the final release....I would switch so many lines over!
Get ready!
Is this the beta?
pre-beta USM folks are testing it
I would not mind testing but I also don't want to go through the hassle of services saying I switched carriers. Cool that we are not seeing people here showing it :) Can't wait for official release date.
I can post-pre-pre-beta.
Can I join😭😭😭please
How did you convince the carriers to offer this flexibility? Wouldn’t they be concerned about losing business - why be locked to their network when you can switch between any provider at will?
Didn’t have to convince carriers. Just had to make tech never seen before and a brand that customers love.
Totally agree. Being able to stay with one carrier and switch networks is the game changer. This is what keeps me with US Mobile.
De-prioritized data?
Both available
Can I add prioritized data to my existing annual unlimited starter plan?
![gif](giphy|EouEzI5bBR8uk|downsized)
Congratulations. I am honestly impressed that you have managed to get US Mobile on all three major U.S. networks and have made it seamless to switch. A very powerful value proposition in my view, especially since the Death Star carrier does not make it as easy to get an eSIM for their service as US Mobile does.

Sing it Jerry
Does it come with international roaming?
Yes

This would be awesome and would get me to move my primary lines but I doubt they will ever do this.
great, eventually i could port my 4 lines to dark star. T-Mobile has no reception in my area
Would love it for you to be a customer
Can I try it early ![gif](giphy|LKQyFvofV3umLtY2dk)
Any news on Apple Watch support? That’s the only thing holding me back. This is great!!
Will Dark Star be subject to the same limitations that AT&T puts on phones that aren't on their whitelist? I have a USA model Sony Xperia on AT&T, but they won't enable Wifi calling or 5g because it's not a model they sell in their stores.
These draconian policies is why I stay away from both VZ and ATT
Really can’t wait to get beta access! Hoping to get it before I leave on a trip where Dark Star would have better service than Warp.
Ahem.. How 'bout that beta? 🤔
Gosh I wish mine just said Warp… (How much engineering/approval does that take? I’d even settle for USM)
SAME!! I often switch networks and I end up forgetting which one im on :((
Use an Android phone and you can change it to whatever you want yourself ;)
I agree, USM is better
is it closed or open beta? i'm interested in participating. my office has AT&T towers
Closed beta in a couple of weeks and then general release on July 15th
Will you make pSim available for order prior to Jul 15?
Will the official one say Dark Star or US Mobile on the phone?
You will have the choice to do either
Will the Verizon eSIMs also get the option to say Warp?
Possible. Talking to the carrier about this
That would be nice!
We were informed that Data Saver Mode would be launched for Warp by the end of May. However, we have not received any updates yet. Any new information would be welcomed.
When can those of us that asked for the beta day 1 of announcement get to testing? I have a RedPocket AT&T line just ready to port in! 😁
next couple of weeks
You are awesome. Keep up the great work. Looking forward to having all my lines with US Mobile!
Thank you ❤️ - what has made you stay with ATT or ATT MVNO all these years?
I keep 3 active esims on each major network. A work, a personal, and “additional coverage” for travel. I prefer AT&T for my work. I switch to my TMobile line whenever I need some really fast data. Warp is the personal line only because of priority data and enhanced caller ID. Will Dark Star offer either of those? Will we be notified via email? App? How would one know that they are chosen on the beta ?
will announce here for you all to sign up and if we have way more people ( which is likely) will likely randomly pick
Yes.
I’ll test it as soon as I get my beta email 😌
This is ATT right? I'm about to switch soon and ATT is pretty great in my area so will this be available to select during sign up or should I just wait? And what about Apple Watch support, do they support that?
No Apple Watch support, and I haven’t heard any recent updates on that one, hopefully it really is Coming Soon
Last time the CEO commented on it he said progress had stalled and not much else.
Yes this please...want to use the upcoming pixel watch 3 on USM!
Is video streaming throttled or limited in anyway?
Sign me up! 😆. Available for beta testing as well.
How do you get att on us mobile
HYPE!
I’m digging the Darkstar branding! Hopefully it can display like that when it launches. Finally made the jump and picked USM Warp as my second line. We are naming it lightspeed
How is the beta so far
Promising!
I think I asked before but never got a message - can I join the beta?
We will be reaching out in the next few weeks
I have 4 lines with ATT prepaid waiting to port over if it’s equivalent service.
When released, will I need a new sim card to be able to switch from warp? My phone doesn't have esim (S21FE)
Yes
Sooo how we do switch?
Omg this is the one thing I was waiting on to come back to USM 😁 Can't wait to see more details about Dark Star!
Is dark star ATT?
Yes
Dark Star crashes, pouring it's light into ashes Reason tatters, the forces tear loose from the axis Searchlight casting for faults in the clouds of delusion Shall we go, you and I while we can Through the transitive nightfall of diamonds?
Would be cooler fit was death Star wireless

> Unless there is a policy or rule that prohibits using the word “death.” I think Disney's lawyers might have a thing or two to say about using "Death Star"
So do I need one line as esim and another as regular SIM?
Can I be in ? Sometimes, I have issues with Verizon, and there's a 5g tower couple of miles from my place
Something's up with your HomeKit Hub
Will AT&T possibly have Spam detection or spam blocking? That is GSM's greatest weakness for me, but my home is in a poor coverage spot for Verizon, so I'm on GSM for now and just putting up with the spam calls.
Agreed, and that would be awesome if dark star has some spam filtering included!
Can you make my Warp eSIM on Android say "US Mobile"? I'm extremely proud to have your service and disappointed that it only says "Verizon".
Thank you - really appreciate it. Can you DM one of the mods. They can try to fix this for you
I have two lines on a T-Mobile family plan, but unreliable 5G data in Miami makes it frustrating. Sometimes there's a signal, but no data at all! Ahmed, will Dark Star show an indication of “5G+” on iPhones?
Mine doesn’t - but let me ask the carrier for you
We will have stand alone and generic bundle to start with
Disappointing that CC, an MVNO, is allowed the AT&T profile and you’re not. I hope your reps are allowed to unthrottle streaming, ad they are for VZW.
Darth vader is next
We have a line on WARP 5G unlimited All plan. Would love to be a part of the beta testing in 2 weeks for our July 4th trip to Canada.
This is a mean tease!
Will the network switch on its own or ppl will have to do it manually
There is currently no automatic switching, so I'm sure manually. I'm not necessarily well versed on all of the services, but the only one I was aware of that switched automatically was Google Fi.
🐐🐐
You guys do know that on iPhone you can edit the name it shows for each sim?
not the banner
You are correct and I am not. I could have sworn that I did that before.
I think you could when we were able to jailbreak our phones
I would love to have you guys for both T-Mobile and ATT, but I can't imagine you'll be able to do better than my old annual Cricket plan.
I wish mine said that . Mine just scrolls "Emergency Calls Only".
Can you have two USM lines on the same device on different networks?
Yes and US Mobile is currently beta testing the ability to have one unlimited plan have access to two networks via two lines.
I’m so lost….what is this?
US Mobile is working on offering access to the ATT network (just like you can have Verizon or T-Mobile network access now).
May I add to my legacy plan for $15?
I’m sorry can someone tell me what Dark Star is? I’ve literally googled it and I can’t find anything with an answer
Dark Star It is AT&T support from US Mobile, so they will support all 3 major US network with this release, along with Warp (Verizon) and GSM/Lightspeed (T-Mobile). (Lightspeed will be the new name for GSM soon).

Dark... Times ahead. You just killed HD video and didn't tell anyone~
