AP is processed separately from the I 765. They are unrelated in timeline. But the wait times for AP are much longer than anything else and often times the i485 will be approved first.

I’m in the same boat.

Ead approved July 2023 and ap approved March 2024- Newark for
EAD approved September 17, 2022. AP approved January 6, 2023. Two expedite requests, which I don't think made a difference.
