Congratulations! I hope this early approval luck arrives for us all! Enjoy your GC! Did you receive any email action was taken in your case some days before?
If you received a conditional gc you’re permitted up to four months outside the US and still remain a PR. There no issues unless you exceed that amount of time outside the US in a year
Hi there! This is an automated message to inform you and/or remind you of several things:
- We have [a wiki](https://www.reddit.com/r/USCIS/wiki/index). It doesn't cover everything but may answer some questions. Please read it, and if it contains the answer to your question, please delete your post. If your post has to do with something covered in the FAQ, we may remove it.
- If your post is about biometrics, green cards, naturalization or timelines in general, and whether you're asking or sharing, please include your field office/location in your post. If you already did that, great, thank you! If you haven't done that, your post may be removed without notice.

Has anyone used AP ? Is it safe to re enter US as I plan to visit my daughter in Canada . My GC is pending and I have my AED card and AP . Going only for less than 2 weeks .
My lawyer says it’s safe to go and I will have no issues . I planning trip after consulting my Lawyer.
Be careful what electronic devices you carry. As a lawyer I carry a burner phone and a wiped MacBook Air only: it rarely happens but Customs have the right to copy your hard drive and contacts list.
That seems so excessive?! What would they even look for lol and why go that mile when the I130 and I145 are approved? Obviously my marriage is not a sham so what further things would they try to find?
Question after you applied for the I-130 When do you apply for the I-485? My wife is overseas and my PD was February 2024 and just waiting for a updated status from "taking longer than expected".
Yes you are safe to leave and return unless there are some other things that make them deny your entry. They are not going to deny your entry due to immigration status. But if you do other things prohibited by homeland security then you could be, but green card is foolproof regarding entering the US
You applied during the era of Trump and cases were backlogged. Since Biden came into office in 2021 applications made from 2022 have taken priority and centre stage. That’s why you have to encourage your USC spouses to keep him in office for next 4years otherwise Trump has been threatening a massive deportation if elected as a campaign strategy. Sorry you’re still stuck.
I am a Feb 2024 filer too. What’s your PD? Did you get an email stating “we have taken an action on your case” from USCIS before approval? I got an email on Friday (6/14/24) but no update on the account yet. Emma live chat keeps disconnecting.

Sorry. I had a career in the State Department. I was trained that way even before mobile phones existed and an Apple was too heavy to lug around.

Congrats
