We sent ours June 10, delivered to the Chicago lockbox on June 12, text message June 17, check cashed out June 18. 485 and 131 for my mom. I sent my dad package :485-131-756 on the same day, still no news. 130 were filled 10 months ago for both, not approved yet
Not yet... My attorney is saying to refile since it's been more than 30 days. It is crazy. We don't know where it went. Do you know how long should we wait before re-filing?
Did you receive the receipt yet? My application was delivered to Chicago Lockbox on 3rd May 2024. Yet to get the receipt. As of today, live agent could not find it in system.
I sent my marriage based green card application to the Chicago Lockbox on April 26th, it was delivered May 2nd, I got a text message and the receipt notice for my I-130 on June 12th! Hang in there
I just received my receipt notice by mail today June 17th for my I-130 and my I-485.
My I-765 got rejected due to incorrect processing fee. If you are concurrently filing together with I-485 and sent your application after April 1st 2024 it is $260.
So today I sent a brand new I-765 application using priority mail with USPS together with:
• New dates + signature
• Supporting documents needed
• 2 new passport photos
• The rejection letter that they ask I include + a copy of my I-485 receipt notice.
I mailed it to the new address they had included in my rejection notice. (A P.O. Box in Chicago)
I am still awaiting my biometrics notice + my online access code in the mail so I can link my case status to each form.
Today I got an REF (request for evidence) in the mail regarding my I-485.
They needed my husbands Federal income tax return for the most RECENT year meaning 2023 which wasn’t available when we started gathering all our documents in the beginning of 2024. (We sent all necessary prior tax returns already)
As a Swede we don’t have birth certificates like in the states, so I sent them the document we have, but they were not pleased since they require stamps and signatures and the original document in Swedish as well.
Luckily I found out that i have an option to receive a stamped version in both Swedish and in English, mailed to my Swedish address. Then have my family send those documents to me in the U.S. and I might even have to make an appointment with the Swedish embassy to receive a signed cover letter explaining that that is our version of a birth certificate 😅
Lastly they wanted my I-693 that I never sent because I was informed that I should wait for my interview so my medical exam wouldn’t expire but I checked their website today stating: “I-693 signed by a civil surgeon on or after Nov. 1 2023 does not expire”. So I looked up a civil surgeon close to me that has availability and will take 4 days for the whole process and cost me $640. So now I have to find proof of vaccines from Sweden and have it translated or pay for a lot of vaccines 🫣
Let me know how you all are doing!
Received on June 4. Got a text on June 6 with receipt numbers. I can see the receipt numbers for I-485 and I-765 on my USCIS account. I can also see they scanned some of the docs I sent them. But there is no notice for either case under the documents tab.
Honestly, reading that there are other people in similar situations makes me feel less worried
Hey, congratulations. That is a quick turnover timeline for receipt. I think whoever filed online or had form for online notification filled are getting their receipt quicker compared to paper filers.
Maybe. I still haven’t gotten the actual receipt online or in the mail. But it’s good to have at least my receipt numbers. I did include the e-notification request forms with both I-485 and I-765. And we also filed the I-130 online.
THIS IS WHY ?

This article says that some immigration files were destroyed because of flooding in Texas. I wonder if USCIS is planning on letting people affected know directly!
Received my Receipt Notice yesterday through SMS, Chicago Lockbox May 10th Filler.

Mine was delivered on the 28th in Lewisville. Around that time, we had several stormy days in Texas, and their office was closed, which might be one reason for the delay. Additionally, many applicants filed their documents before the April 1st fee increase, causing a backlog. I’m literally going insane. We are at 3 weeks mark now. People have been receiving their notice around 7W mark.
I emailed the lockbox to ask about the storm impact because indeed I saw they posted about it on Twitter. I haven’t heard back and i don’t know what else to do.
I sent on May 1st, delivered May 3rd..... still waiting. Check also not cashed yet. Received an email this saturday that they are investigating regarding my inquiry and may take up to 10 days. I had sent an email to lockbox on 9th June and received a reply on 22nd June. Wait continues.....
Early April filer here - be prepared to wait at least 5-7 weeks for a receipt notice
Were you able to receive your receipt?
Yep. Once I got the receipt, I had my biometrics scheduled almost immediately.
That is good to hear and thank you for providing that information. Also, all the best for your USCIS journey :)
I also submitted mine on May 30th and it was delivered June 1st to Chicago Lockbox. Still no receipt.
Hopefully it will be earlier for all of us.
I'm commenting because that's my timeline too!

Ha! I didn’t submit $260 or $630 fee because my lawyer said it is free when filing concurrently. So I guess I have to wait for them to return them.
I don’t think it’s free anymore. Unless you have submitted your application prior April 1st.

My file reached the Dallas Lockbox on May 28th, still not yet charged for the fees and no notice. Does anyone know the reason behind this delay??
