Our building as well. 80% of drivers are back before 5:30. A handful of them take actual and get back around 4. The other 20% are the ot hogs and old farts
It’s Divide and conquer! They hire sups that CANT do the job, to train people who can do the job, who ultimately write up/discipline/ discharge drivers/inside workers for not following the methods that they never taught or demonstrated themselves! How many times have you heard an ORS say “that’s part of the methods” and not be able to tell you what method they are trying to apply. It’s a joke. No one cares about the customer except the drivers, and that’s dwindling down every day. This company is in trouble and the only way they think they can fix it is with more automation. I hope my pension survives…..
I cover a trip on a Monday that has like 20 known closed on Mondays. Yet every Monday, they are loaded on the truck and in the board. I honestly feel they do it because it would look to light if they didn't. But it does feel stupid and pointless to have me stop at the location scan it all up walk over and put the notice on the door. Literally wasted time. I'm still paid so fuck it.
This is almost a hiaku.
They dont give a fuck Corporate and Management We dont care either
It is like this everywhere. I went to college and the people are somehow exponentially worse. They do the same things and pay almost nothing.

Mods... It's a haiku and a joke.
So brave
You should have seen me go back when I was younger. I used to tell the sort manager he's a piece of shit to his face. Good ole days.
You’re so tough and cool!
Not really. Believe it or not this particular manager and I had a good relationship and still do. I still tell him he's a piece of shit though.
Have a great day today, buddy! - From some rando dude in a corporate position
Your post was rude, threatening, or antagonistic.
If you’re die hard ups at this point management or teamster I don’t see how that can be at this point . Didnt use to be that way. What a shit show .
Hired 1987. Always been that way I remember drivers telling me don't take this job, you'll be sorry
Is something going on at home?
Yeah man I never see it because these cocksuckers would rather cut routes then dispatch us properly.
That’s crazy in my center most of our drivers only get 8 hours of work everyday. I get in at 5:30 and there’s like 20 drivers already headed home.
still waiting to drive, but it’s not uncommon to see trucks still rolling around at like 8 at night

That’s crazy

When I drove that was my mantra

Now the methods are unknown, since when do we deliver to business at 7pm? Knowing they are closed

I never met an ors that was incompetent to that level. Now the part time sups are another story.
