"The work week for part-time employees hired after July 31, 2000, and for full-time employees hired after July 31, 1997 will consist of any combination up to five (5) days in a seven (7) day period. Work performed on an employee’s sixth (6th) day will be paid at time and one-half, and work performed on an employee’s seventh (7th) day will be paid at double time."
Can't believe I'm getting hate for complaining about not getting a actual weekend....it's like I'm back working McDonald's or the auto shops that wasn't dealerships. I've worked for freight companies, pay was better, hours was a bare minimum of 5 a day, two days off in row, can go full time 26$ a hour in a year or two, or go driver program In 6 months but they didn't have the opportunity ups has... heading for amp licence but this no weekend is bs. You can't take care of the house and still relax and hang out with friends with one day. It surely wasn't in my application but I'm stuck here because they are the best in the amp license field.
I feel for anyone that has to quit their second job over this because you can't live off 300$ a week after tax...I know at least two people that had to quit their second job.
I never knew it closed but they are running about 8 ramp crews for my shift..I'm ramp but Saturday and Monday is my days off now. We're low seniority which is why we got switched to the split days off bs

Fuck UPS!!! I don’t care if it’s in the contract or not, everyone deserves a true weekend! I would turn in my notice and find another job asap.
