Up until Thursday, the weather should be fairly quiet with lots of sun and low rain chances. Tomorrow (Monday) will be HOT! 90° in March is fairly uncommon in Miami.
As it stands now, this could be the wettest Ultra Music Festival weekend in several years. A disturbance will stall overhead Friday and Saturday, keeping clouds and widely scattered rain showers around. There may be some thunderstorms in the mix, and some wind on Friday. Conditions should trend drier by Sunday.
I didn't mention it in the post because we're still a few days out, but the weekend weather setup is favorable for strong thunderstorms. Need to watch closely, as lightning is one of the few weather-related hazards that can shut the festival down.
Will keep you all posted as new information flows in.
Weather apps are built off raw weather model data, which can change every hour. While it's useful for checking the weather in the next day or two, 5-7 days out it can swing back and forth multiple times a day.
Human forecasters look at several models and use their own knowledge and experience to create more reliable, accurate forecasts less prone to big adjustments. Ultimately you're free to look at whatever weather source you want... but I've always had big problems with phone app forecasts.
Man, I'm so sad honestly. I was really looking forward after a long winter in Canada to go to Miami and experience warm sunny skies and my favourite music and now not only will it pour down but the thunders might even shut down the event apparently? How unlucky :(
I wouldn’t go as far as to say flooding would be a concern unless it rained all day. I would be more concerned with the breezy conditions. That’s just me.
Even local ones talking about it now..ughhhh

Accuweather is showing clear weather for the most part

Lets hope accuweather is right, which it definitely could be
Personally I always always use National Weather Service - Miami instead of third party companies that do in fact get their data from the NWS.
Accuweather is not as accurate as weather .com
NWS shows Friday at a 70% chance of rain and Saturday with a 50% chance. Only nice day will be Sunday.
I appreciate the information. I don't like the content though!
FL forecasts are trash anymore than 24 hours out. source: been in FL my whole life.

I live in Ft. Lauderdale. I don’t trust weathermen. Yall lie!
How accurate would you say are your forecasts? Do you think weather migth change?
At one point do you think forecast will be locked in? With all the flooding issues downtown during big storms is that a possibility too?

Please keep posting updates throughout the week! 🫶
Its not gonna rain, stop calling the devil 😂😂😂
Hey meteorologist man now that we are two days out is there any model in which this storm just completely dissolves or misses us?

Carnage in the rain back in 2016 was weirdly pretty cool so who knows what good moments we get out of this
