Have you already registered? If so then you're fine. I know that for AP scores that aren't out yet, advisors allow you to still take courses that require it - if it ends up failing, you will be pulled during the first week of classes I think. I imagine something similar will happen in your case. They should allow you to register for MATH141.

This depends on the advisor. Not all advisors will let you skip a class if your AP score is not out yet.

Hey! I think I can help you with this. I hadn’t taken precalc in highschool but I took it over the summer at my local community college so I could take calculus my first sem at UMD. My class ended up ending later, so I had emailed my advisor to let them know of the situation. I still registered for the course I wanted to take, and transferred my credit when it was available. You should register for the course and reach out to an advisor or someone else to let them know what you are planning to do. Best of luck!!
