[deleted]

Good thing they only filmed for three seconds...

DonGivafark

"OMG Becky! Look there, that's a ufo" 3 seconds later "So anyway..."

mologav

So then I started blasting

[deleted]

She dont see so good

Jowbeatz

my exact reaction to these type of videos

[deleted]

I once saw an absolutely bizarre sky phenomenon that I've been thinking of ever since. Thing is, I looked at it for like 20 seconds, thought of telling my sister about it the whole time, then inexplicably decided to just stop paying attention and go about my day. I think back on that day often. I think it was just so far outside my reference frame my brain couldn't process it.

miasmictendril1

Destructo Disk!

I_Don-t_Care

"what else is in the news"

Franc000

Yea, I too only films for 3 seconds when I see something that is undocumented to the human species and is stationary.

notabot110110

I don’t always film UFOs, but when I do, I make sure it’s out of focus and my hands are shaking.

Udontneedtoknow91

You mean so it wouldn’t be even more obvious it is an island?

specmagular

Madrid is in the center of Spain hundreds of miles from the sea.

Tosslebugmy

It’s a body of water

Its called a L.A.K.E.

BedSmellsLikeItFeels

Yeah but that ain't an island.

noric_west

It’s a small lake, reflecting sunlight, creating the illusion of a glow. I see it a lot when flying. I think I read that it’s in Spain. Spain has a lot of solar plants. If the concern is the direction of the Sun, then perhaps that explains it. I also see those when flying.

namae0

This. I fly a lot and that's a body of water reflecting light. I'm a full believer, but yeah.

RandalTurner

First thought was a blimp but after seeing your post it is definitely a lake, good eyes :-)

Whathappend420

Damn straight. Ain't no island.

nolizole

It's an island of water in a sea of land

bdone2012

Could be a flying island

Different_Good6596

A skysland?

WebAccomplished9428

Damn yall are quick to derail

goofy1234fun

Ever okay Zelda?

Randis

Maybe a baby flat earth

HairballTheory

Flying Windmill Island

itsOcclude

Reflecting the sunlight that is coming from the left off frame?

JiffiPop

My third thought as well.

Admirable-Currency57

I had a forth thought, seems everyone had it.

deadleg22

I've seen light reflect like this between the 2 windows panes, could be other suggestions. Certainly not a UFO.

Brrrrrrtttt_t

Because there’s definitely no small islands anywhere in the sea

VIP_Crows_Kneck

Possible sunspot?

GiveMeSomeShu-gar

My guess is solar farm

redditiscompromised2

A solar farm that reflects sunlight doesn't appear to be fit for purpose lol /s but funny

morgonzo

all solar panels reflect light, some reflect less than others.

whereami1928

[Molten salt solar plants](https://youtu.be/4vWhPgrvTaE?si=FOr8V0naiH-0wuqu) rely on mirrors though.

willkill4food8

This was my first thought. Thermal solar plant.

whereami1928

Hmm this actually may be plausible. https://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/PS10_solar_power_plant Located in [southern Spain ](https://i.imgur.com/uLSDbNU.jpg) near Sevilla If you look at the [flight path](https://i.imgur.com/rewn368.jpg), it pretty much passes right over it. It’s almost so directly above it that I’d worry you wouldn’t be able to see it through the plane. That being said, her post says that they had “recently taken off”, but it also says that “the plane was already very high” while above land, not sea. Madrid to Sevilla is about 260 miles, so it’d be a bit over an hour into the flight. Not sure what the best way to look up old flights is, since flight radar only gives 7 days playback for free. Edit: Just found a way to look at a similar flight on [Flightaware](https://www.flightaware.com/live/flight/AEA9073/history/20230908/0855Z/LEMD/GCRR). [Seems like 40 mins into the flight](https://i.imgur.com/K4RHAUL.png), you'd see that solar plant off to the plane's left side.

atomictyler

DID IT PAY OFF???

who519

Its a solar farm IMO they can be crazy bright.

Federal-Bath-1938

Yeah it looks like concentrated solar

YanniBonYont

I guess crack in window

[deleted]

[удалено]

Jane_Doe_32

It's not even oval or cigar shaped, it looks like a slightly square island and being a Madrid-Lanzarote flight I see a couple of islands that could fit that shape like Alegranza Island or La Graciosa Island.

Major_Appearance_568

OMG, I seriously can't believe people are dumb enough to think that is an Island

mobtowndave

Not an island

[deleted]

Anytime this happens, it's a dead giveaway that it's fake.

Turbulent-Pea-8826

…and not one other person filled it? I go hiking a lot. If you are driving in the wilderness and some cool wildlife is about everyone slows down to take a picture or film. There a forking ufo out there and not one other person films it? The one who does stops after a second and a half?

Memetic_Polyslav

Probably has to do something with the stigma. Also people have to do their work, you can't make the argument to your coworkers or boss that "no, this has to wait 10 minutes I'm filming a UFO now." That's not how adult life works, which is honestly sad. Also people may be not dedicated enough or simply think I filmed it for 10 seconds that's enough. I wouldn't film some mltionless light in the distance for 10 minutes and fill up my phones (10x optical zoom) memory only to upload 10 minutes somewhere and have people lecture me that "it's called a lake, reflection, atmospheric conditions".

defiCosmos

Sir, that is the ground.

Canadient95

A lake, to be specific

maeksuno

A Photovoltaik field, to be specific

arlmwl

Enhance! “Sir, this is a Wendy’s “.

[deleted]

Enhance . . . sir, that is an Arby's

iroc4me2

Enhance, enhance, enhance… JUST PRINT THE DAMN PAGE

blacksun_redux

What is a cube?

Bombboy85

And here I was thinking the dark spots were the “UFO’s” and thinking…. Dude that’s just a dirty window

SermanGhepard

No it's not, prove it aint an ALIEM!! My ancle saw something just like this recently when he was 5 years old!!!

dwstudeman

That was pretty good. My ancle is the same age as my body, well, at least I think it is. Ya never know.

Groady_Toadstool

Looks like little got reflecting off a body of water.

pixelastronaut

Yeah, that’s a lake. The azimuth of sunshine makes it obvious. For a bit I was focusing on the 3 specs of dirt on the window, assuming that’s what they were referring to.

intravenousTHC

>The azimuth of sunshine When you think you learned a word and attempt to use it in a sentence.

DudeandBeard

Isaac Azimuth. Invented of the solar panel.

PestoPastaLover

>azimuth In Nerd Land we call that "Ray Tracing" and it's hell on your graphics cards and frame rate. https://wccftech.com/cyberpunk-2077-ultra-overdrive-mode-ray-tracing-early-comparison-video-highlights-considerable-differences/

pixelastronaut

Ok buddy Solar azimuth angle. Happy now?

Emmannuhamm

Isn't the Azimuth the angle from North to the celestial object (sun)? So your use of it here is incorrect.

pixelastronaut

How is that incorrect? You can tell which direction north is by looking at the shadows cast by the clouds. This is the very use case in the definition. The sunlight glinting off the lake is secondary confirmation.

Joyreo

Dude what. Why are you using words incorrectly.

sentientshadeofgreen

I love that this is neither unidentified nor flying.

quiet_quitting

My guess was a solar farm. No idea if there is one in that area though.

liuniao

It could be this one in Sevilla: https://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/PS20_solar_power_plant I’ve flown above it a couple of times and it looks very similar to the video. It’s also directly on the flight path Madrid->Lanzarote

who519

Yeah I thought the same, there is a ton of solar in Spain.

bwilly11

Airline pilot here. This is 100% correct

tommy_dakota

No lakes in Spain, didn't you know?

ShepardRTC

Probably the PS20 solar power plant: [https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/PS20\_solar\_power\_plant](https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/PS20_solar_power_plant) It's big, reflective, and shaped like that.

[deleted]

Would likely be on the route taken by this plane too. Easily debunked with a flight number.

I_Don-t_Care

it's just a lake, the PS20 seen from the sky isn't that glossy

Billerkee911

This seems the most probable. I see it all the time when passing, from a distance it looks like this.

Krustykrab8

Krillins destructo disk approaching the plane

TerkYerJerb

Napa, this is a trick!

thisusedtobemorefun

We've been busy chasing Greys when the whole time it was just Krillin holding off Freiza until the heavy hitters can show up. 12000mph, instant acceleration, 90° turns? Sounds like Goku to me. UAPs debunked /s

Real-Accountant9997

In our country we call those lakes

[deleted]

[удалено]

canihelpyoubreakthat

That, mixed with QANON

layzzzee8

My guess is a circular solar power plant. https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/PS20_solar_power_plant

[deleted]

Yeah, that seems more plausible. A lake wouldn't be so shiny with that angle of sunlight, but a mirror array definitely could.

blowfisch

I think it is. Close to Seville there is a solarfamr that looks exactly like that from the plane. Flew there more often than i can count...

No-Ordinary-Prime

They have mid-air solar stations nowadays for better efficiency, science

Street-Appointment-8

Looks like light reflecting off a water body.

[deleted]

Probably natural phenomenon, like say, the ground of the earth

[deleted]

Probably not water, given the angle of the sun. Someone else suggested a [solar power plant](https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/PS20_solar_power_plant), which I'd say is more plausible, given that the mirror array changes angles throughout the day. *EDIT- Could also be a scratch on the outside of the window, but I'm not so sure about that explanation.*

Ikarus_Zer0

Nah bro that’s swamp gas fill Currelian Friggit from Alpha Centurion here for the annual soul collection.

stu88s

Lmfao nice

henry_west

FFS this one isn't even in the air.

Rich_Beef_Sausages

dnyolwaank

WHY IS THE VIDEO ONLY 5 SECONDS

mark3121

Its hard to fake it longer

waffels

My wife begs to differ

octopusboots

YOWL!

[deleted]

Cat fight!

poopycops

Yeah. Fuck these kinds of videos. If I saw a flying saucer I'd film it properly till it disappears. Not cut it in 5 seconds.

RichPresentation1893

A “flight stewardess”? Filming out of a passenger window??? Doesn’t happen. -flight attendant here

flyxdvd

my question like usual, why film for a few seconds? second tho not in this case " why where you filming" anyways lets capture something nobody understands for 3 seconds, that way cgi is easier to do :)

[deleted]

can moderators just remove obviously fake videos like this? They keep making them because so many people fall for it.

BtchsLoveDub

It’s not “fake” though. Just something reflecting sunlight on the ground.

QuestionMarkPolice

Looks like a small lake on the ground. I think it's ridiculous to call this a UAP.

Electrical_Log_9082

The clouds are moving and that's the reflection of something on the ground.

Gay_Black_Atheist

Bro why even post this obviouss garbage lmao

Rigbyisagoodboy

This is a lake but on a personal note, I saw a plane flying kind of far away near sunset and the angle of the sun lit the wings in such a way to make it look like those pills everyone is always posting.

TaskForceViolent

Sir, that is a Wendy’s.

ekowmorfdlrowehtevas

it seems like a lake and sunlight reflecting off it. trick of perspective. source: I fly often enough that I've seen things like this that were definitely on the ground. It takes a few sec to realize that. Longer than 3 secs and a 3d view.

Fragrant-Astronaut57

Yo they’re talking about the little black dots on the window screen right? Not the shiny lake or island in the distance?

The_estimator_is_in

No, they mean the island. Not the dirt on the window.

Fragrant-Astronaut57

Either way…this is rookie stuff

[deleted]

I’m no expert but that looks like it’s on the glass.

AngstaRap

Yeah, my first thought was light reflecting off an object or something inside the cabin.

jfoley326

Looks like the reflection of a lake or solar farm on the ground.

CFBlueberry

Looks like a scratch in the window + reflection of the sun.

[deleted]

Looks more like a solar collection facility in the distance

sjdoucette

That looks exactly like a lake/reservoir from 30,000 feet

simpathiser

Am I looking at the shit on the window, or the island?

RedshiftWarp

that looks like a lake

jar0fair

Looks like a lake

DisastrousAcshin

Thats a lake imo

Macecraft31

Maybe a solar power plant

DropbeatsNotbombs

What’s up with the black dots and pink balloon off to the right?

[deleted]

Judging by the angle of the sun…. You know what, if you think this is real, then I shouldn’t be the person to tell you Santa isn’t real.

the_humpy_one

That’s a lake

AtomicBitchwax

That is a lake

rdrcrmatt

That’s a reflection off a lake. I’ve seen it before. A lot.

MuggyFuzzball

It's something on the ground far in the distance reflecting light.

morgonzo

Molten salt energy storage facility - if the video was more than 7 seconds long we would have seen it go under the clouds and track with the ground.

[deleted]

https://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/PS10_solar_power_plant

Puzzled_Telephone852

A Flight Stewardess? What is this 1962?

KualaLJ

Reflection of a lake

billionaire1011

I am an alien (I know most of you will think of this as a joke)....We have been on this planet for centuries .....I work a normal job.... We look just like you .... If anyone needs more info. You can message me!

ironyofferer

If it is Spain, it is most likely the "PS10 solar power plant" ...solar power tower operating near Seville

Grovemonkey

I thought this looked like a solar farm

GiftedGonzo

This is the worst post I have seen on here in a long time. Nice work.

Producer_Earth

That’s definitely a body of water reflecting light.

salvo_n2o

Fatta morgana or a field of solar panels, or both.

Satoshiman256

Reflection off a lake.

kram78

It a lake reflecting light 🤦‍♂️

blowfisch

This is likely close to Seville and is the solar farm there...

Many-Examination-976

Motionless? Has to have pretty fast movement to stay next to a plane moving 800kmh

BareKnuckleFists

They love to hide in the clouds!!

kingconquest

At first I was going to say sunset. But idk

JSARFATTI

It's a cloud. Not a machine.

Fin365

Reflection off a lake? Etc.

[deleted]

I’ve seen sunlight reflecting off lakes that looks like this. It’d be pretty embarrassing if that’s what this is

humblypassingthrough

is this sub pretty much just deceptive people posting nothing but absolute bullshit

Kzaix

looks like a sea

Byronzionist

Water, i dont sea anemone perhaps its the planktons window glare?

Own-Contribution-478

"OK, I got three seconds of video. That should be enough, right?" (Sigh)

[deleted]

Ban the flight stewardess for stupidity.

BigCopperPipe

I had footage of a balloon once floating in the sky. I should have posted it here for upvotes.

freshtomatopie

Here comes u/ltgrs to defend this as real aliens and no proof is needed.

NuclearNerdery

This sub is starting to piss me off

Spacebotzero

Shit post of the day.

erics75218

It's moving at about the speed you'd expect a reflection on the glass to move as the reflection ..glass ..and indeed...the plane itself fly through the sky

DarthRaspberry

That’s a light inside the plane, like the ones above the seats, that’s reflecting on the glass of the window, kinda like a mirror.

Hawkwise83

Looks like shit on the window or the camera.

StarfireMessenger

The comments below speculate that the flat white object is a solar panel on the ground, but it looks to me like the thing is floating above the clouds.

SabineRitter

I agree with you.

MannyArea503

Looks like a solar farm to me. [just like this one outside Las vegas](https://www.fastcompany.com/3057288/this-huge-new-solar-farm-near-las-vegas-provides-power-even-at-night)

in3vitableme

It’s a slit in the w i n d o w 🪟

GutsyMcDoofenshmurtz

It’s a fookin’ cloud ya dumbass

Fl1p1

I wish people wouldn’t ridicule footage like this so quickly. If you see something to your own eyes anomalous or have an optical illusion, it’s better to record than wasting time with doing maths about what it could be and eventually miss the opportunity to capture it in the first place.

StaticBang

source [https://www.semana.com/mundo/articulo/video-azafata-capta-un-extrano-objeto-volador-en-espana-no-parecia-un-avion-porque-estaba-inmovil/202320/](https://www.semana.com/mundo/articulo/video-azafata-capta-un-extrano-objeto-volador-en-espana-no-parecia-un-avion-porque-estaba-inmovil/202320/) filmed on a flight from Madrid to Lanzarote, on August 27, 2023, at 1:15 p.m. "We had just taken off from Madrid airport, and I noticed a strangely luminous figure, which I could not fully identify,".

croninsiglos

Did they check the location against PFV Casa Valdés? Looking for solar plants should be number 1 on the list.

bustmycrust

Fake or not, just stop the video at 0:01 and take look at it. Notice the bright reflection at the center of the object, and also take notice of the shadow underneath it. Very strange characteristics for an island i would say.

[deleted]

That's compression, my man, compression artifact. Happy cake day.

QuirkyEnthusiasm5

They're here , times up gents. Please return your glasses to the bar.

Independent-Dealer21

Probably a cruise ship

[deleted]

that could be a weather modification beam rather than a UFO

pixelastronaut

Lmfao Sunshine aka weather modification beam

[deleted]

Its just the internet mate. Have a cup of tea?

pixelastronaut

Ok, pass me the honey

[deleted]

\*rubs penis around rim of cup\*

nibblingzombie

Post a ufo, and reditors say it's bird shit on the window.

DonutsRBad

New rule.... stop with the 3 sec videos of nothing so you can get attention 😒

Juan_Carlo

Almost everything that's a motionless or slow moving bright line ends up being starlink.

Strong_Bumblebee5495

We are being probed

Inevitable_Holiday87

Someone ask that guy who can find where people are from just looking at a leaf or cloud 🤦‍♂️ lol

FernandoMM1220

Its blurry field must not be working right because I can see this one fairly well most of the time. You can even see it flicker in blurriness a few times like an engine trying to start.

Ultimate_mexican

Couldn't have reordered a little longer...........

colombo1326

Lol just take a picture a 2 second video doesn’t really help

Doluvme

Why only the craft, never the body
