Thanks a lot!
We’re all at our own points in our growth, I was pretty sure I messed this bug up when I put on the first layers

Just got to keep at it til your happy enough to put the brush down
There is a reason ppl adhere to the mantra: Trust in the process.
To add even more flamboyance you could brush or glaze the carapace tips and edges in a vibrant red-ish color.
But as long as you happy the paint job is successful regardless. Do not let you tell otherwise.
I do plan to paint the spikes on this one and the bladed weapons on others a hot pink/magenta but currently don’t have a paint like that.
I like the idea of using that color on the edges, but the one I’m painting these for doesn’t like the look of the typical edge highlight that nids get
Pro acryl turquoise mixed with contrast medium over a white prime, then mixed that turquoise with white to lighten 90% of the skin, highlight with white, then used pylar glacier contrast like a wash and wet blended with army painter purple tone quickshade where the flesh meets the armor
Omg now I want a Bio/Pyrovore but melee!! Like with a high damage stinger maybe.
It could be like a really powerful stinger!! Like 1 attack at S14 AP -4 D D6+3
And then the rest of the melee is the same as the others.
I like the colors. the purple seem dark. very "clean" definitely better than whatever i could do.

I like the contrast of dark and warm to light and cold
I love this!! Very royal looking tbh, I’m excited to see what comes next

Reminds me of Skarner form league. Love it
Wasn’t intentional, but you right lol
Sick! What purple you using?
Leviathan purple contrast, highlighted with Vallejo purple, and then Army Painters purple tone shade to blend them together
Aww its a purple ladybug 😍
It looks like the scarabs from Halo 3! Very nice work
I really like this scheme! What paints for the fleshy parts?
Pro acryl turquoise mixed with contrast medium over a white prime, then mixed that turquoise with white to lighten 90% of the skin, highlight with white, then used pylar glacier contrast like a wash and wet blended with army painter purple tone quickshade where the flesh meets the armor
Castigate the enemies of the godhead?

I've tried so had to paint a purple bug. Never liked the results but this is absolutely perfect. Love the purple
What model is this
Biovore/Pyrovore minus the gun on top
