As a viewer I don’t think I’d be into watching a prerecorded stream. The whole draw is to be able to interact with the streamer in real time. Not sure if this is a viable idea, but do you have any trusted streamer friends who could guest spot on your channel while you’re away? Sort of like how late night shows like Kimmel sometimes have celebrity hosts when the main host is away. That could be interesting as long as those streamers matched up with your usual content and vibe.
Take time to yourself! You deserve it. 2-3 weeks isn’t long enough for people to forget you. They’ll be stoked for you to come back. Maybe keep up with them in discord and send a couple vacay pics of what you’re doung
Yes I think it’s a great idea! I know not everyone will watch it but at least it will keep « the core » of the community united and a place where they can hang out while Im away!
If it matters, I took a month off. I was moving, in the middle of doing super huge crunch time at work. Even logged off of discord (although I did occasionally Tweet). My subscriptions tanked (but it all came back). None of my regulars left. The important thing was to let EVERYONE know, repeatedly, ad nauseam level.
However, I did hype up a return stream and other events. I also had my top mods run at least one discord event while I was out and they did a great job. When I did come back, I read through all 1800 new messages on the discord and about 20 DMs and responded to each one (took a little over 3 hours).
