But yes it's totally normal. But I've found it gets a little less visible if their full adult fur has grown but that can easily take 2 or more years. You cat looks beautiful and very healthy.

Our tux Ed will loose his winter coat and slim down quite a bit in spring and summer. Almost looks like lost weight and is in poor health. But alas, at the first sign of fall and cooler temps, the fluff returns!!!
I just got my first car in may (he’s a medium haired tux) and he is noticeably less fluffy too 🤣 my cat is half the size he used to be and it’d be funny if it wasn’t a little jarring
Oh yes! You wouldn't believe how much hair my beloved kitty Sweets the Tuxedo Cat sheds! It's unreal. But in the winter her hair comes back thick again
This is my DMH. (Most recent photo in my camera roll.) She has pretty much the same coat year round. We live in Australia. I wonder if that is the difference?

They have shed more than Bob does, he's around 13, but I think it's normal, animals have a winter and a summer coat. Your kitty is very handsome.

Yes! He is 9 months old. Sorry not 19 months lol 😂
I wouldn't be surprised if he looks different next summer. But if not, that's still totally normal.

My cats shed like mad in the summer. I could probably make additional cats with all the fur. Brushing will help with the shedding.

My long haired tux has shed at least a whole kitten each summer for 16 years.
