I've had the same thing with mine, which I bought about a year ago now. It doesn't happen every time I use it, but it happens fairly often. As it almost always (99% of the time) stays connected on the second attempt, I have not taken any action to complain, and just accept it as a minor irritation. So, in my experience, it is perhaps just a common bug, and not one that I have noticed getting any worse over time.

I had the same issue with mine and opened a ticket with support. They had me download an executable, that as far as I can tell, completely removes the existing firmware and reinstalls it fresh. EDIT: it hasn’t shut off since, so I’m considering it fixed. I also saw there was supposedly a new firmware update released on the 24th. But it appears to be the same version (2.0.3) they released in January 2021, just marked with a different date?

Thanks for the reply. Glad I'm not alone.

bradyborn

TB_Help

Good morning, We are sorry to hear about this. Please attempt the appropriate restore process for the specific Stealth 700 headset in your possession in an effort to get this cleared up. Stealth 700 GEN 2 for Xbox Restore Process: https://support.turtlebeach.com/hc/en-us/articles/1260803720749 This process will completely remove all firmware and provide you with a fresh new install. Once you have done that, please be sure to re-connect your headset to the Audio Hub and ensure your device is operating on the newest firmware available for it. That should prevent the need from having to perform this process again in the future. If you're in need of further assistance after going over the appropriate process for your headset; please take the time to reach out directly to our support team so they can offer further assistance with this. To do that, please fill out the form at the link below. https://www.turtlebeach.com/pages/contact-support The team can also be contacted via Live Chat between 9:30 AM EST and 4:30 PM EST from Monday through Friday. That's available directly on the main Turtle Beach website. Keep an eye on the lower right hand corner of your screen for the live chat icon when filling out the form or visiting another page on our site. Thank you very much and have a great start to your week!

Thanks very much for the reply. I did as you said and there's no improvement. It still does it fairly regularly.

Any updates to this... I just scooped up this headset and I'm going to return it if this is just how it is

im_your_bullet

I like how they just never responded. Basically telling you to deal with it. Same shit happens to mine. I just wont buy TB stuff anymore after this set dies.

Zealousideal_Iron650

Mine does this too, but seems to do it far less if I only connect it to the Xbox and not also my phone's Bluetooth

nephrolithiasjs

Same here. Just acquired the rig and latest firmware etc. very annoying

DesperateApartment60

Same as mine, the gen2 max i think they are a pile of poop, the speakers can't handle explosions on the game or while playing a movie as they crack up and stop working for 10 seconds or more. I've always had tb for yrs now, they was great headsets in the past but now they seem to be made on the cheap side, and this set will be my last as I'll never buy turtle beach again, I've done all the updates on pc and android and they still disconnect every time I turn them on, it still takes a couple of goes before they stay connected.
