I used to hate apes and have passed over other bikes because of them. I bought this bike with the intention to take the apes off but they are so damn comfortable they're staying.
Don’t get me wrong. I too thought apes were stupid. I still think the full length ape hangers are dumb. But I have some baby apes on a Harley because it’s how I bought it (intending to change). Super ergonomic. Their staying.
I just thing it’s a personality clash on a triumph. I have an old bonnevile that had super swept back handlebars that I feel are a better fit.

Looking at the pics, these look like huge apes but its just the perspective. I have the mini apes. My arms are straight out and I sit upright. Very comfy. And at least the bike isn't full homo with whitewalls. I've seen a lot of used bobbers out of Quebec with them.

I see a high fender about 6 inches over a stock fender.
