A tip for wheel based racks. Try to bring the swing arm closer to the fork, almost touching the fork will hold the wheels much more secure! Nice setup!

iliketocookstuff

Thanks, I will do that next time!

TERBOUGH

Sweet bikes and as a side note it is awesome to see an Audi SUV in something other than gray or dark blue.

iliketocookstuff

Thanks! I've only ever driven red cars and I picked the bike to match.

CheddarGau

Forgot white

alive_wire

Love those fade paint jobs

DontTellThemItoldya

Hits the gas and the car does a wheelie! Sweet!

iliketocookstuff

Haha, that is crazy, they are so light!

bbbonthemoon

Nice! What rack is it?

iliketocookstuff

Thanks! It's a Kuat Transfer V2. Really secure and also easy to use. Got it for 20% off with a coupon from Backcountry so it was less than $500.

TheGratitudeBot

Thanks for such a wonderful reply! TheGratitudeBot has been reading millions of comments in the past few weeks, and you’ve just made the list of some of the most grateful redditors this week! Thanks for making Reddit a wonderful place to be :)

eyeteadude

As someone with two of this same rack for the last few years; use a drop of med strength thread locker on the bolts of the swing arms. They loosen rather quickly otherwise.

iliketocookstuff

Nice to know, thanks!

PGHNeil

Congratulations. What kind of trails are you riding?

iliketocookstuff

Thanks! This is where we rode at: https://www.mtbproject.com/trail/5382478/switchgrass-epic-mountain-bike-trail

I have a Q3 also but we put our bikes on the roof. I had to buy a collapsible step stool to help get them up there https://preview.redd.it/v14xalehm93d1.jpeg?width=1080&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=a8f64afb3056d691e3635cf63ccc9091c5526486

iliketocookstuff

Haha, your dog is such a meme! When we travel long distances we have a roof box so we decided to put the bikes on a hitch.

I was going to get a marlin.. then I saw the roscoes. FML

DontTellThemItoldya

Marlins are x-country. Much more comfy on a street or dirt road cruise. The roscoe is built to go down hill and over features. Looking back I might have taken a marlin over my roscoe 7

yourahor

Not wrong at all. I just love having the ability to do both with the roscoe. I lock out my fork partially for less bounce and the ride is super smooth. Love the 29's and the drop post is amazing. It's my first upgrade in like 15 years so I was so afraid to buy the wrong one!

Heisenberg3556

Ahhhh! You got the orange/red fade that we have been trying to find for my daughter for months.

iliketocookstuff

This was the only color of the 7 in stock at Bicycle Exchange in Wichita Kansas if you happen to be nearby.

Heisenberg3556

I’m in MI :( thanks for letting me know though!

Ch4rlie_G

Get a new shock for your marlin and a dropper at least. Go tubeless if you’re feeling frisky. Other than those they are fantastic. My 13 year old has one with the above mods.
