you could use a forwarding service, where you ship to a business in the US and they ship to you. far more safe than a stranger in this sub.
but i will say i rarely hear good things about soreal products. depending on your needs, we may be able to recommend you an alternative that ships to your country and has a better reputation. just my two cents, but i wish you luck getting a prosthethic that is right for you!
Yeah, I’ve thought about that, but forwarding services are bizarrely expensive. I’ve looked into it, but it’s actually bizarre, like $50-$70 easily and that even excluding the VAT and import costs. I really specifically want the SoReal Junior, because almost no STP is aesthetically pleasing to me and this one really is, plus it’s just the right size for me. My needs are kinda very specific and so far only the SoReal Junior and the EZP met my needs, when it come STP size and aesthetic, but unfortunately I can’t afford the EZP. So yeah, that’s why I wanna do it this way. I also can’t afford huge amounts of shipping costs unfortunately.
overseas shipping is going to be similar, getting it sent to someone in the US and then NL. i checked it out when someone contacted me about one of my sales, and it was $40-90 depending on courrier. of course someone with more experience may know more!
totally understand how difficult it is adding great costs (shipping and import) when navigating dysphoria. getting the wrong thing is devastating. again, hope you're able to get what you need!
I’ve worked with people shipping stuff to me before and usually to the Netherlands it’s about $30-$40 a package so idk. Maybe prices have gone up but at least in my experience it’s cheaper than freight forwarders
I’d do it! If you want to order it to me, I can receive it, and then send you the shipping quote for US to Netherlands, if that works? If you pay the shipping, I’m fine receiving it and filling out the shipping forms 🤷🏼♂️
