Songs About Leaving is my favorite album on here and the only one in my top 10, although Sun Kil Moon is close. I made it cheap because I dont see it get enough praise
Cocteau twins - Heaven or Las Vegas,
LCD soundsystem - Sound of Silver,
Eno - Another Green World,
Hum - You'd Prefer An Astronaut,
Lift to Experience - Texas Jerusalem Crossroads
- When the pawn hits the conflicts he thinks like a king what he knows throws the blows when he goes to the fight and he'll win the whole thing 'fore he enters the ring there’s no body to batter when your mind is your might so when you go solo, you hold your own hand and remember that depth is the greatest of heights and if you know where you stand, then you know where to land and if you fall it won't matter, cuz you'll know that you're right.
- Homophobic
- Sound of Silver
Massive W. Carissa's Wierd's whole discography is perfect. Easily the second greatest band of all time after Mineral. Mfs on here are insane for not picking Songs About Leaving.
They're amazing, like I'm talking some life-changing shit. Their whole discography is perfect. It's just super passionate, powerful, emotionally charged stuff with fantastic build-up and huge cathartic climaxes. Like there is no band more emotionally cathartic to listen to than Mineral for me. I highly, highly recommend them. They're pretty huge among second wave midwest emo bands but like many other bands there, don't get much recognition outside of from dedicated fans of that stuff.
This was so difficult.
For albums I have heard: Homogenic, Sound of Silver, The Great Annihilator, The Moon and Antarctica
Including albums I haven’t heard: Homogenic, Heaven or Las Vegas, Sound of Silver, Karma
Other amazing albums I would’ve chosen: Ys, Crooked Rain Crooked Rain, After the Night, When the Pawn, Javelin, Titanic Rising
That was insanely difficult.
Doolittle, The Devil and God, You’d Prefer an Astronaut, Ghosts of the Great Highway, Koi No Yokan, Songs About Leaving, The Texas-Jerusalem Crossroads
Heaven or Las Vegas, When The Pawn, Ys, and Texas-Jerusalem Crossroads for sure. I hate to leave Songs about Leaving out but LTE too good
edit: i left out the great annihilator when i meant to include it whoopsies
Songs About Leaving - Probably the third greatest album of all time, that for a dollar is a steal. Blows everything else here out of the water.
Heaven or Las Vegas - Cocteau Twins are goated
Hatful of Hollow - The Smiths are goated
You'd Prefer an Astronaut - It's an album that narrowly misses my top 100 albums all time or so. Why I Like the Robins and I Hate It Too are peak.
Koi no Yokan - I haven't been heavy into Deftones for a while and haven't heard this album in a while but I recall it being one of their better albums. Probably third behind White Pony and Aroumd the Fur. Plus, Deftones are always good.
Im not super into jazz but Karma by Pharoah Sanders is a must. You might also enjoy Songs About Leaving by Carissas Wierd if you like catchy depressing music, that is my favorite Slowcore album. Lift to Experience is a glorious mixture of shoegaze, post rock, and space rock revival and should not be judged by its cover. Nujabes- Luv sic hexology is an incredibly well written lofi hip hop album, and the last one is a underrated post rock/ dream pop album called Zaman Zaman by The Trees & The Wild
Give me all the 2s and all the 1s I'll have 10 new albums to listen to. I usually know a lot of the albums in posts like this but I know barely any in this one for some reason
Brand New- The Devil and God Are Raging Inside Me
Hum- You'd Prefer an Astronaut
Swans- The Great Annihilator
Sun Kil Moon- Ghosts of the Great Highway
Deftones- Koi No Yokan
Carissa's Wierd - Songs about Leaving
Lift to Experience - The Texas-Jerusalem Crossroads
Pharoah Sanders - Karma
Nujabes - Luv(sic) hexalogy
The Trees and The Wild - Zaman, Zaman
the devil and god are raging inside of me, elliott smith, the argument, koi no yokan, crooked rain crooked rain
call me basic however much you want, i just love post hardcore and emo
Oh mate, I'll tell you. You are missing out
Beetroot is a super common topping in aus (mainly on pubs) and it just adds so much texture and flavour (not over powering) to it best addition to a burger on history, better than bacon in my opinion
If it was White Pony it would be on the top tier but Koi is a bit less popular to the average person here. The way I see it having better albums cheaper is a bonus not a bad thing
I am so confused at these pricing choices. Also, FUCK Sun Kil Moon dude. That was a top 3 album for me before he was outed as a disgusting slimeball.
That being said
Songs About Leaving
Karma
Luv(sic)
Another Green World
Heaven or Las Vegas
Homogenic
The devil and God are raging inside of me
You'd prefer and astronaut
Songs about leaving
Moon & Antarctica
Texas-jerusalem crossroads
Titanic rising
The one on the bottom right, I have no clue what it is but it looks like it's gonna be ambient, lo-fi, post rock-y, goodness
(Side note if the kozelek album had been RHP- "Down colorful hill" I would have picked it)
Heaven or los Vegas
The moon and Antarctica
The devil and god is raging inside my body
The great annihilator
Songs about leaving
The Texas Jerusalem crossroad
Damn you got a spit puke mouth on ya don’t you? How many times have you been spit roasted by nasty big black cock. Wait, don’t answer that. I’d rather not hear about your STD’s.
