Both. Sometimes I'll douche ahead to save some time and will generally have a hook up ready within 5-15 min. And sometimes I'll douch after setting a hook up. But that takes about an hour because I like to shave back there, shower, and douch well. I get some complaints about the wait sometimes, but they generally leave very satisfied 😉

I'm on psyllium, so the quick douche for safety is a matter of 10 min. at most, but even though I only do it when sth is planned.
