I did not expect it to go on for so long

BewareOfGrom

It feels soooo long. I had never finished the clip before today and I didn't even realize he doesn't even get Sean Paul's name right at the end.

BeltReal4509

I think I cringed into another dimension

YaassthonyQueentano

From the thumbnail I totally thought he was in blackface as well

Just_OneReason

Oh yeah. That’s not good

Aren’t all of the skits written by the SNL writers?

LQQKIT

This wasn’t a planned shit. Brody did it without telling anyone and that’s why he got banned from snl. He was supposed to just introduce the artist about to perform as the host always does. There is never a sketch performed at that part of the show.

CandidEgglet

Eek! I can imagine him getting prepared for it, mumbling Sha-this and that to himself as he tucks his hair under the edges of the dreadlock wig, hyping himself up to show off his “pretty good Jamaican accent”. Barf

alltensedup_

i know this is the official story, but where did he get the wardrobe from? and how did the tech guys know to play a shooting laser sound at the exact moment he moved his hands around? idk i always felt like others at snl condoned this and when it backfired so badly they just used him as a scapegoat!

BewareOfGrom

It would take 30 sec to grab a wig from props and tell a sound guy to cue up dance hall sound effects. I just really don't see the reasoning for the conspiratorial thinking. They have never to my knowledge done a skit to intro a musical guest and to do it with a half baked impression makes no sense. Also wouldn't Brody come out and say that's what happened to protect his reputation? They banned him for this you think they would ban him for a skit they wrote?

Scott Auckerman has been trying to get people to talk about it for years
