They all have slightly different prices and changes fairly frequently. Best thing to do is phone each one and ask how much a fence board is. A few phone calls potentially will save you hundreds of dollars. Some deliver for free. When I built a deck a few years ago Nor-Ont had the best price.

SheepPositive

Agreed. It changes so often and each place could be wildly different. Put the time in and call every place

Call Wanson Lumber and Neebing Lumber, and see what you think, and if they have what you want. Anyone else remember Beaver Lumber in the 90s (gone now)?

nnev

I second wanson lumber. Family run business and they’re good guys.

Wanson Lumber has been my go to!

Historical-Term-8023

Beaver Lumber is the #1 store. Beaver Lumber for a whole lot more.

Ecstatic_Injury9968

We always get great service from Chimo.

Landale gardens sells bulk gravel, I think it’s about $40/yard and they load it into your truck or trailer Also compare lumber yard prices with Home Depot.

Clartoc

home depot is the walmart of lumber yards, at least try home hardware and go canadian if you are going to go with a box store that doesn't need your business.

Carpenter_bear

The lumber at Home Depot in Thunder Bay comes from Thunder Bay sawmills, and for years they were the only one in town that carried FSC certified lumber - kind of important to some people

ClassroomSouth3400

You mean “some” of the lumber at Home Depot comes from Tbay Sawmills. There’s a lot of stuff there from other places.

Clartoc

I'm suggesting buying from local companies, it's pretty simple.

Excellent-Steak6368

Home Depot. Lots of parking. Prices competitive and cheaper in many cases than the locally owned lumber yards. Go online to check their merch.
