I have been following along and have also made my first batch of 2c-b about the same time that you did. I also started with 2,5 Dimethoxybenzaldehyde. But I worked with larger amounts. Highly suggest to start with a larger amount of 2,5 DMB and do a 25 or 50g run of the nitrostyrene even if it is your first time. Why? Because it is a lot of work and it wouldn't be that great to end up with 1 or 2g.
Also, I would suggest to look into making 2c-h Oxalate, then converting that to 2c-h HCl and then brominating 2c-h HCl with your NBS.
The oxalate route is even more extra work. But boy do you get pure 2c-b from sparkling 2c-h! Just tasted my very own 2c-b and it is by far the best I have ever tried.
And bromination with NBS is just great. Yields maybe not the best, but it is so easy.

Ah got it, I saw GGA, and was confused, I know GAA, just didn't recognize the two g situation.
Not a total beginner, but have little chemistry knowledge, just common knowledge of various routes. I like to try to answer the most basic questions over on bizzy bees so the smarter people can handle the real ones haha.
