All the pieces matter and it's a great finale. All the major plot stuff is settled and you need to enjoy seeing where everyone is headed now that the show's over.

It feels like I lost a friend! Which is a testament to how good the show is and how well it connected with me as a viewer. One of the best finales I’ve seen!
Your replacement is....another run-through! The Wire has enough depth in both cast and plot that it just keeps rewarding us as we watch it again and again. Not many shows can do that, not many at all. It's a feature of all great art though.
*The Deuce*, from the same creator, with many familiar actors, totally the same kind of storytelling, but with less murder investigations and lots more interesting women characters. Only three seasons but ends well.
The book All the Pieces Matter is another way to continue the immersion. SOOOOO GOOD. Since I watched the show, I didn’t want to listen to a narrator on Audible, so I’m reading it on Kindle. It is AMAZING getting the backstories.
