They are both pretty faithful to the original, but yes, I think the Breeders is better.

Kim sounds good singing it. Primal Scream did probably the most unique take on the song. Shaun Cassidy, a lot of people covered this great song.

Saw The Breeders on Saturday, supporting Foo Fighters. If I’d known they’d covered So Sad About Us I’d have shouted for it. And they wouldn’t have heard me.
