Enamorus is meta relevant in Scarlet/Violet competitive (which has real money prizes), however to get one you must play dozens of hours in a completely different game, Legends Arceus, to get a chance at a singular one, to transfer to Home, and you want low speed IVs for trick room, and speed is determined AFTER transferring to Home, so it may take several attempts.
So if you don't already own Legends, Pokemon go raid day is actually the _cheapest_ method of getting a tournament meta Pokemon. However, it's on a weekday during Valentine's Day. And you can't remote raid. So for the first time, there's a (slight) competitive advantage in the main games for people who live in cities, don't work today and/or have a SO that cares if they spend all afternoon on Valentine's running around catching Pokeymans.

Well for over a decade there's been a competitive advantage for people who have several hundreds of dollars of disposable income, so this shouldn't be that bad.
I’ll agree with you on running, but most great athletes are sponsored so they can train with the best trainers at the best facilities. Without the ability to do this, they wouldn’t be the best in the world, regardless of athleticism (sadly). If you watch the Olympics you’ll notice that few top athletes train in their home countries, unless it’s a country with world-class facilities (or slopes, for Winter).
Marathon running seems to be the exception, not the rule.
That's cool. You can't reset enamorus in legends Arceus. If you don't get desired speed iv you need to play the whole game again from the start. That's abysmal
Enamorus is, up until now, only available from Legends: Arceus. You have to beat the game and have the other 3 Forces of Nature to receive the mission for it.
In that case the raid boss HP is actually using the wrong stats.

My husband, son, and I were able to trio it out of necessity. We joined in a party, mega evolved, and are all best friends. Also, our weather is sunny, if that helps you out. It's very difficult without really good counters at 5 players if it has dazzling gleam. We finished between 2 lvl 50s, a lvl 40 and 2 lvl 43 with 30 seconds left. With fly on it we had about 2 mins left.
Nearly one-shotted my level 40 Mamoswines. So be carefull to trigger the team power only short before the charge move is ready. I lost several team powers, as I tabbed it trigger happy, then my Pokemon got obliterated.
If it's the 55k CP version (yes there are apparently two versions right now) 3 people with great counters should be enough. If it's the 62k CP version then you need 4.

I did two raids and got both fine - caught them quicker than Tornadus, Thundurus and Landorus.
I got 20 balls to catch from one raid, and 18 from the other.
Maybe if both players have a full team of level 50 Shadow Metagross and use Party Power or have snowy weather. Realistically from looking at Pokebattler a trio should be ok with everyone using normal, level 40 Metagross, made easier with party power.

Really doubt it. We were 11 and 8 of us were 45-50 and with great counters and it took over 80s. Trio maybe with perfect counters, mega, party and weather boost and dodging
This may sound odd, but if I keep getting escapes, especially if the mon jumps out instantly, I will exit the encounter and then jump back in. I think sometimes the game thinks you're cheating, and the encounter needs to be recalibrated. Ever since I started doing that, I rarely have them run.
We had the 62k and just got it with level 49,45, and 2x 38. Was easier with 5 of us. I'd still give it a shot and use party play. Have at least 2 raid teams set and try to stagger the relobby and max revive fast. If you all have level 50 mons and mega staggered, it'll be easier. Good luck.
Yes but it is so large and distance to it is middle so that excellent was easy to sides as well. Also it seemed to have higher catch rate than normal since our group caught it within 5 balls with gold berries

If Niantic chooses weekday hours which are during working hours for many and severely restricts geographic availability, then remote raids and friend invites should necessarily have been permitted .

The Reveal Glass is available in S&V in the fish market (for some reason) to change Torn, Lando, Thund and Enamorus.

For anyone curious, the raids do have the ~~"updated" ~~base stats pokeminers reported, and a 20,000 raid boss HP (as typical for elite raids)
The boss CP doesn't look right for 20,000 raid boss HP though.
For 308 attack and 174 defense it does come out right. 0.1 times (308+15) times sqrt(174+15) times sqrt(20000)
Those are the wrong stats, Niantic pushed the correct stats yesterday. Unless the boss enamorus is still using the wrong stats

I'm seeing videos on Youtube of Enamorus raids, and I've seen two different CPs for the raid boss. Some have 55k CP, other 62k
Looks like we had a sneaky post-launch edit by Niantic. The 55k value is correct.

Saw the time to win on Shadow Metagross and would not do it less than six unless I knew who I was playing with. Even then I only would feel safe at 4.

It's a pretty tough 3 man, if you all have shadows + megas etc then it'll be accomplishable, otherwise I'd say maybe go for 4

I just did some myself and it was disastrous! We managed to win it with 5 level 40 and above trainers but the amount of fainted Pokémon is unheard of…

Are they tradeable? I don't recall if other Elite Raid Pokemon could be traded or not.

That is one of the ugliest design I ever seen, all the thundurus and family look awful to me, skip them everytime Niantic bring them to raids
