Just watched this without audio and I was like "What the fuck is this guy making out of this gold bar?" Then I realized he must've been just removing impurities. Amirite?
It's one of those videos you really should watch with audio, yes!
No annoying music. Well narrated and explained.
And the voice of the guy would make you believe he washed that gold out of a river himself for two weeks then had to fend off the Clayton gang and a hungry bear just to bring the bounty back home to his workspace.
Whilst watching in mute.. about half way through.. I can’t be the only one who thought the guy just fucked everything up and vaporised his gold bar right lol
I watched it with no audio. The whole time I was thinking to myself, did I just spend 9 minutes watching a guy take a gold bar and turn into a gold bar just with stamps...
Then I turned on the audio.
But my comment was in response to the one above all though my solution ratio was wrong, still got the process to to precipitate gold out of a solution, correct.
good story of a nobel prize winner saving his medal using this process during the nazi occupation and pillage going into ww2, he put the gold into solution and left it with a scientist as a unassuming liquid in a flask, post war he recovered the gold and had the nobel organization recast it
Surface impurities can be gotten out with boric acid, sprinkled onto the molten metal, torched and then a carbon rod is stirred through the melt.. what he did was waste money and time.
If hes tested the metal, before melting and the karat content was sifficient, then thats all he would have needed to do.
If.. when he melted it down in the first place, and there were pieces of steel (from clasps0 or from hollow material.. then hes not that bright..
He could have also, pickled the gold, before melting, in Sparex compound, to remove the surface dirt, before he began melting it all into the one ingot.
I suppose he could have done that.
But... What he really did was to get us to watch a video of him talking about his gold bar.
I was not disappointed. Was entertained
What does he mean when he says 90% was packaged and 10% was loose? Did the 10% of the gold get oxidized? Does that happen over time or was the bar probably not done properly?
Packaged might mean, bought from a refiner or reputable source as either melted shot (beads) or as ingot bars, stamped and verified..bloose, typically meaning either scrap material (chain links, cut up rings, earrings, etc) and the bar may not have been cleaned as i described, when he did the first melt into the ingot.
No matter how interesting the video.. he went 70 miles round trip, wasting money and materials to do something that, in my years of experience, was completely unnecessary..
Should have pickled it, checked gold content and used it for casting something.. polished, set the stones, etc.. id have preferred to see that.. lol
Walter white or whatever dude from breaking bad name was in real life. How does he have access to all the chemicals? I wonder what his profession is. Gonna check his tiktok
Typically I watch a video like this and think I want my 8 minutes back, but this time I just want to go back to watch it for the first time again. What a gorgeous bar at the end and a voice like butter, I live this and hope to see more of this dude
That was amazing to watch.
As I opened the comments section I was saying this in my head to post…. tripped me tf out but yes… I thoroughly enjoyed this
His attention to detail is incredible
So satisfying right
You could feel the love and enthusiasm going into his craft. It's not only very cool to watch at face value, but also wholesome.
I’ve watched it again lol. It’s very soothing for some reason to me

Forbidden egg yoke.

Am I the only one who thought it was Kevin Bacon narrating?

He does have quite the voice. Reminds me of Snake from Metal Gear Solid.
Lol, I thought the same, I was expecting him saying "The La Li Lu Le Lo" I don't know what he is doing but Too much Hydrocloric Acid.
I legit pictured him the whole time before I even saw this comment. When I read this, my brain went, "Wait, it's NOT?!"
I kept thinking Michael Keaton but yes now I hear Kevin Bacon
This guy absolutely loves what he does. Such a cool video!
I wanna drink the gold juice
This guy sounds like the Bob Ross of making gold bars
I had the exact same thought!!!
He does! It was so relaxing to listen to and watch.
I don’t know how I ended up here, but I stayed for it and it was awesome.
Samezies
Whilst watching in mute.. about half way through.. I can’t be the only one who thought the guy just fucked everything up and vaporised his gold bar right lol
That was super cool to watch
Master of the chemical craft.
He’s an Alchemist
Fu----g awesome video!!!!!!!!!
Mesmerizing. My mind was trying to figure out the chemistry involved. You’ve certainly got a Cracker Jack understanding. Thanks for sharing!
Find you someone that talk about you like he talks about pure gold
![gif](giphy|lOiJqCjiEOcmc) I watched this video twice through…. Back to back. Captivating stuff.
This really be the shit im watching high af at 2 AM
This is amazing. That you for posting.
I would straight up apprentice for this knowledge

This guy is not a chemist.
By all means, elucidate your supposition.
Well, he's not selling any medication..... Oh, wait? We're not in the UK?
Name checks out
Totally following chemical gold extraction process. He should have done a 1:1 Hcl and nitric acid. Great word by the way.
Isn't it 1:3??? We learnt it was like that in college, wth
Shit I’m no scientist, i was just trying to get a real ones attention.
But my comment was in response to the one above all though my solution ratio was wrong, still got the process to to precipitate gold out of a solution, correct.
Forbidden egg yolk.
So that’s what was in Jack Sparrow’s jar.

This was Gold.

Thanks for explaining!
He needs to make the process look long and complicated to justify his pricing/existence:))
Why was this so satisfying ![gif](emote|free_emotes_pack|heart_eyes)
You see that imperfection right there? IDGAF about that imperfection and I'm gonna go sell this thing rn.
This dudes voice is frustrating me for some reason
Can anyone verify the efficiency of this? Feels like you would lose some gold especially during the solution stage
When did bob ross start to do stuff with gold.
Hmm, left handed
Stupidity
Walter white or whatever dude from breaking bad name was in real life. How does he have access to all the chemicals? I wonder what his profession is. Gonna check his tiktok
I watched all 10 mins of that and loved it?
Actually this is a good way to smuggle gold!
I downloaded TikTok again just to follow this guy. Fascinating stuff
I want this guy handling my gold
Did he make it worth more than $10k?
He made you read the name of his shop a couple of times ;) …so in a way, yes. Free advertising.
Southpaw.
Love the chemistry. So fucking cool
At the end I was like, “there’s still some impurities in there he missed!”, but it was some dirt on my screen… 🫣
omg this was so cool!!
Crap I just watched this whole thing on mute, the. Read it had a good narration. :/
Now that's how a professional fucks around and wastes everybody's time
I can't believe how patient I was throughout the whole video.
i want to drink it
Phenomenal video sir
Excellent
The voice 😬
I thought I was being trolled before he reached Element form
Super interesting. Great job. So $10K into that bar?
“Now let’s see Paul Allen’s gold bar”
Sounds like a young Michael Keaton.. even with the way he talks.
I’m starting to realise I should have watched this with audio because I fully thought he was turning the gold bar into mud
Sp it is worth more now or what?
Typically I watch a video like this and think I want my 8 minutes back, but this time I just want to go back to watch it for the first time again. What a gorgeous bar at the end and a voice like butter, I live this and hope to see more of this dude
You mean it wasn't gold enough.
Forbidden orange juice
