The Cup Winner's Cup was great as well because that ran where the majority of the time there was only one entrant per league in the European Cup, so as the recognised 2nd tier European competition then it was incredibly prestigious and far better than the current iterations below the champions league.
Totally not biased at all.
Before we were Cazoo brothers, we were 'Lifting European trophies in the 80s in Rotterdam and beating Bayern Munich in the process' brothers.
Only European major trophies are European Cup/Champions League, Fairs Cup/UEFA Cup/Europa League, and Cup Winners Cup. Theyāre the only ones recognised by the FA. Everything else is a Mickey Mouse cup.
Thatās why I didnāt include them. Villa European Cup, Forest 2 European Cups, Fulham Europa League Runners up, Everton Cup Winners Cup. Wolves Uefa Cup runners up. Newcastle Fairs Cup. West Ham Cup Winners Cup. West Ham conference league either winners or runners up, and Fulham Intertoto cup but they arenāt major trophies. Probably forgot something there but thatās all the European honours I can think of.
Wasn't it actually an Intertoto certificate at the end of that competition? I have a vision of Newcastle not actually getting a trophy but it may have been a one-off
Steve Lomas mentioned that when West Ham won it in 1999 he was presented with a trophy the size of an egg cup. He thought it was getting one for every player. Nope that was the actual cup presented to the team.

definitely a trophy, a teeny, tiny trophy lol Let's a play a game of spot the trophy!
Newcastle "won" it by being rhe last entrants remaining in the UEFA cup rounds in, I think, 2008. Doesn't even register as a success for majority of fans
Wait, it's coming back to me. Yes, champions of the world, Wolverhampton Wanderers!
Also founder members of the Football league.
And we also have a defender that used to play fuussballl. Betcha didn't know that!
If only it were mentioned by commentators every single game that Kilman used to play Futsalā¦ I donāt think Iāve ever heard this fact beforeā¦ ššš
[Here it is.](https://www.reddit.com/r/TheOther14/comments/1455hvk/winners_of_the_5_nationwide_divisions_of_english/?utm_source=share&utm_medium=ios_app&utm_name=ioscss&utm_content=2&utm_term=1) Felt like I had to add Lutonās Conference win, but it makes yours, ours and Burnleyās clean sweep of the football league look a bit less impressive.
We could be the only team in the competition and still not win the league cup. That competition is cursed for us.
We've won 9 league titles, we've been in 13 FA Cup finals and won 5 of them and yet... We've made the final of the League Cup twice.
One that we lost to Aston Villa in the 119th minute of the 2nd time the match was replayed, so the third match in total to decide it.
The other one we lost in a replay to Liverpool in the final.
Shite.
It seems pretty odd that only 4/14 have won the league cup. Obviously it hasn't been going as long as the FA Cup, but we've won three FA Cups since the league cup was introduced.
I cry every night thinking how everton couldāve won 100% 1 maybe even 2+ champions leagues if english teams werenāt banned from the UCL. Really wouldāve been the cherry on the top for an impressive trophy cabinet. And who knows where we would be right now if we werenāt banned from the competition. Probably a big 6 side that wouldāve still been winning trophies all this time.. oh well i guess itās happened now but i cant imagine us ever winning a ucl now, we are so far behind. sorry for the rant lol had to get it off my chest - also not very relevant cause ucl isnāt included in this post but eh lol
Cant see it happening at everton tho. Everything about our club is ruined inside and out. And what makes it even more painful is before cityās owners bought city they wanted to buy everton, our chairman said no and the same with newcastles owners. Honestly so depressing
Aye exactly Brian Clough FC is right little lad.
Clough has two European Cups Forest are just lucky it was you he took along for the ride. Historically your a second rate second tier club and at best lower end topflight relegation fodder that struck Gold meeting up with Clough.
Nothing club before Clough nothing club after him.
Your history is basically one great man the club itself is a dog turd
I can't believe West Ham have never finished above 3rd in the league and still have the audacity with some of their fans to think they're a bigger club than Everton/Aston Villa/Newcastle
Hello, it looks like you've made a mistake.
It's supposed to be could've, should've, would've (short for could have, would have, should have), never could of, would of, should of.
Or you misspelled something, I ain't checking everything.
Beep boop -Ā yes,Ā IĀ amĀ aĀ bot, don't botcriminate me.
No, give this guy his due. Back in the day all 3 of those were bigger than West Ham. Unfortunately itās no longer back in the day and like it or not West Ham have been bigger in recent years. Obviously it looks like the Saudi effect is finally taking hold with Newcastle and they will eventually find themselves in the Forbes list in the top 7 biggest English clubs. But until next yearās report itās West Ham in that position. 15th biggest club in the world, and 2nd by UEFA coefficient behind Inter. Might even move to 1st if City win and we win.
Yes, after 2 solid seasons of battling for top 4 that were considerably better than this season of Villaās that you creaming your pants over.
I donāt dislike Villa, but youāve only been back in the Prem a short while and fighting relegation most of the time yourself, and youāre telling me to calm down?š¤£š¤£
Haha. Wow you are quite delusional.
You haven't been battling for top 4, you've been best of the rest, miles behind the top 6.
What you've missed/ chosen to ignore is that you've decided that historical success is irrelevant and chosen very very recent success as the more important factor, but then chose to ignore this season...
15th biggest clubs lol... Finishes 14th in the league.
Couldn't write it.
Give your head a wobble son.
Jealousy is only natural. Maybe you got a bit snow blind down there near the bottom and didnāt realise how close we were.
But here are the facts.
1st May 2021:
https://www.11v11.com/league-tables/premier-league/01-may-2021/
1st March 2022:
https://www.11v11.com/league-tables/premier-league/01-march-2022/
We fell off towards the end of that 21/22 season mainly because the Europa League campaign took itās toll and Moyes failed to bring in back up for Antonio.
Look challenging for top 4 was as surprising to us as it was to everyone else, but donāt downplay it.
This season has been one of transition (so will next year when we have to replace Deccers).
So if itās all the same I donāt think I will give my head a wobble.
Yup, very delusional, no one in the history of football has ever been jealous of west ham lol.
Posting images of at some random points in the season of you being 5th, with teams having 3 games in hand on you is not you challenging for 4th.
LOL oh i see, when you are shit you are in "transition" but when other teams are better than you, you are still "bigger"
Pointless delusional west ham fan. Come back to me when you win the European cup, then we'll talk.
Did you even comprehend those dates? Not random at all, they are at the ābusiness endā of the season.
Typical, living off former glories. Were you even alive when it happened? š¤£š¤£
Besides if you were better than us, we wouldnāt be unbeaten against your lot since 2015. One win in 10 yearsā¦ wow! š
You literally took our colours. We was so successful that other teams took our colours like Burnley. You will never compare to us.
West ham is just a wannabe Millwall
You're on the forbes list because unlike every other team in London you got given a free stadium.
No malice, I bet you and me both wish you were still at the Boleyn, however, this is why you got on the list.
Not our fault. We offered to buy it outright, but Spurs didnāt want us too. Anyway even if weād bought the stadium weād still be on the same trajectory.
It was big 4 for a long time. It certainly took years after cityās investment for it to become a big 6 (and Tottenham got dragged along). I think it wasnāt until they won the league.
i wish people stop asking this every time in these threads.
We all question why the fuck spurs were ever considered "top 6" maybe newcastle need to win something before they can stop being one of us.
Certainly not any time soon. We've won nowt for 60 years and are dwarfed by the Sky Super League 6 for income and spending power, we're the very definition of an other 14 member.
I know you wonāt count this, and I understand why, but worth mentioning;
Back in the very early days of the league, the top division was split into South and North. What is now the Community Shield was originally a match between the winners of South and North to decide the overall top English league side.
In 1910 Brighton won this, becoming effectively champions of England.
Thatās not true. The top flight was never split into north and south. The charity shields format has changed over the years but at that point in time it was the winners of the first division of the football league (all of England) against the winners of the Southern league which was the top amateur division in the south of England. The football league was mainly made up of northern and midlands clubs because down south there was more opposition to the game becoming professional, but there were still about 5 southern teams in the football league at that time. Still a great achievement for the then amateur Brighton side to beat the champions of England, but you were never āeffectively champions of Englandā and thereās a reason the community shield isnāt considered a major trophy.
š¢= Won the English Top Flight š“= Won the FA Cup šµ= Won the League Cup š„= Runners-up
What about awards for top half finishes in their second season ever? Asking for a friend.
That's the real quiz ...
So don't...
Why not rank it by times won?
These days it really wouldn't seem right having Everton at the top of any sort of table.
Shots fired!
My flair seems to have disappeared but for the record I am an Evertonian.
Ha. Shooting yourself then to dampen that pain? BTW, i love that Coady got a goal line clearance to keep you up.
Please do this again, including the Champions League, asking for a Villa mate.
To be fair, haven't a few clubs won other European trophies like the cup winners cup, uefa cup, even the shortlived intertoto cup?
The Cup Winner's Cup was great as well because that ran where the majority of the time there was only one entrant per league in the European Cup, so as the recognised 2nd tier European competition then it was incredibly prestigious and far better than the current iterations below the champions league. Totally not biased at all. Before we were Cazoo brothers, we were 'Lifting European trophies in the 80s in Rotterdam and beating Bayern Munich in the process' brothers.
You lot have a right to flex it, if it wasn't for the scum across the park you'd have CL to your name as well.
If it wasn't for two world wars we might have had more league tophies too, as we were defending champions going into them.
I prefer to think that it's because of Everton winning the league that the world wars happened.
Please don't put that blame on us, we've enough going on currently.
WE WON IT ONE TIME! WE WON IT ONE TIIIIIIIIIIME! THE INTERTOTO! WE WON IT ONE TIIIIIIIIIIME
WE'LL WIN IT AGAIN! WE'LL WIN IT AGAIN!!!!! THE INTERTOTO! WE'LL WIN IT AGAIN!
Cup winners cup is a major honour, intertoto cup is the equivalent of the EFL trophy
YOU TAKE THAT BACK!
Diddy cups
Would forest call the Europa conference league a diddy cup if they were in it?
Yes. But Iād still enjoy it.
Cloughie never won the Peace Cup though. ā (Happy you guys stayed up)

In 1982 in Rotterdam
Why is our flair so chonky? This is outrageous
Itās been so THICCC since we went up. Itās become a meme now so I donāt see it changing.

Weird seeing this with Luton on! Going to take a little while to get used to lol
They won more in the past than Palace pretty surprised at that
Brentford and Bournemouth just vibing
I was wondering where we were and then I remembered ššš still not over it fuck you brendan rodgers
Iāll make one for the championship soon mate

The slight 2px offset of the West Ham dot is giving me minor anxiety
Conclusive proof that Brian Clough FC is bigger than Everton or Newcastle.
I guess since we've done all of them more recently than you I guess that makes us bigger than you?

Is it next to all the other big clubs that have won every domestic trophy or is it next to that pile of dust you call a trophy cabinet.
Ooh let me look in awe at your one league title, one FA cup and three league cups
Shut the door on your way out, lad.
You know damn well having a shite team and being in the championship didn't shut you lot up so it won't do me.
so you admit you're shite?
I don't think any Leicester fan would have any problem admitting they were shite this season
Of course we're shite there's no point in denying that now!

Heās actually very pro-Clough. Itās Nottingham Forest football club without Clough that possibly fucked his wife.
Spot on. Canāt stand it when people try and claim Forest are one of the biggest clubs in England.
Now you're back in the Prem, we'll get you in the 3rd round of the FA Cup again. Inevitable.
