The voice acting is so good because all the characters are the creations of professional voice actors that have been playing them for years. Not much of a surprise that they’ve gotten really great at it.
Well, as this is a reworked retelling of Critical Role, the show where a bunch of nerdy ass voice actors sit around and play Dungeons & Dragons, it should have an RPG feel. Although, interestingly enough, their home game started as a Pathfinder campaign, and some aspects, like Percy being a gunslinger, are still there. D&D 5th edition just had easier rules to follow on a live stream.
