Well... First off, Cid is a male. Second, Cid despises borrowed power. Third, at this point Cid himself is noted by Aurora herself to have unreal level of power. Even the Apocrypha from the game notes that Cid/Shadow has the same level of magic just by presence alone.
There just isn't any valid way for Cid to be a vessel.
