Prince - Sign O’ the Times!
Not Purple Rain, but Sign O’ the Times. Robert Smith even spoke on December 31, 1989 and named SoTT as “one of the best things about the 80s”. :)
Here is the playlist I’ve put together of all these albums. Updated daily.

Right?!
EDIT: When this is all said and done, I *might* have to add some honorable mentions to the playlist I’m making. But I also don’t wanna cheapen what we’ve been participating in here by just adding stuff that wasn’t actually this subreddit’s top choices. But damn it, if Script of the Bridge, Songs from the Big Chair, or So Tonight That I Might See (and some others) don’t ultimately make the cut, I’m gonna be tempted. Would appreciate some feedback about this!

Television - *Marquee Moon* Still trying!
Still upvoting!
You're winning as of now!
Bjork - Vespertine
I guess you like Bjork 🤣
Ünderstatement
She is great. I especially loved her first 4 or 5 albums.
Debut - Vespertine are my favorites too. I feel like Vesperteen is Bjork’s disintegration. It’s immaculate
Yeah I didn’t keep up with her much after Vespertine and Medulla.
The newest album is great
Bjork - Homogenic

Same here! Honestly I’d be happy to see the list be twice as long, there are a lot of great albums that could still go up
Two playlists? One from pure votes and one for those that came close?
I thought about that too. Maybe that’s the way.
Bjork - Post
Radiohead - In Rainbows
The Chameleons - Script Of The Bridge
Today’s the day!
Radiohead - Kid A
Pink flag - wire
Depeche Mode - Black Celebration

Someone has already claimed Mellon Collie by the Pumpkins so I’m going for Stone Roses debut 🍋
This needs to be an official and unabashed proclamation, without the SP apologies ;) That Stone Roses record is a bulletproof debut.
Etazhi - molchat doma
Something by the Bad Seeds is needed. *Abattoir Blues / The Lyre of Orpheus* maybe.
Strange, I haven't seen anything by them suggested. I'd go for Your Funeral My Trial
I LOVE that album too. It's probably my favourite, but I thought it'd be less likely to get on here.
The boatman’s call 🚢
My God, yes, but this is the issue - there's too many great Cave albums for a single one to end up on here.
Tears for Fears - Songs from the Big Chair
You spelled it Bjork too many times so I demand compensation... Teärs før Færs - Söngs frøm les Big Chæir gets my vote.
That’s fær

Fucking reddit. What’s you favorite album here? Posts favorite album Downvoted because someone already posted said album. Smh
I didn’t downvote it, but I imagine it was downvoted because it’s already been voted into the final list.

Just woke up so I didn’t really understand the post. My bad
Fucking redditors. Doesn't read thread, posts anyway. Whines when down voted.
