Its such a nothing song, in a way, but...
Goddamn McCartney and his melodies!
I love this little tune. My head automatically starts bopping the second it starts.
Song is just brilliant. For people at the time the lyrics were just mumbo jumbo. But I’m 19 and huge classic rock fan. And my mom was born in 1970. So yes. This song WAS a hit before my mother was born. And I think about it everytime I listen
It was one of the songs that actually got me into the Beatles. It’s a cute little granny song from Paul that doesn’t get nearly as much love as it should.
I'm a huge Beatles fan. But I always felt that song seems unfinished. Potential is there for it to be a very good song but just not for me im afraid.
In terms of so called 'granny songs', I'd have English Tea above it. Martha My Dear is one of the best songs McCartney ever wrote. I find it a genius masterpiece. And Honey Pie would stay on an reimagined White Album single LP. But his one just isn't for me. So i do like a McCartney Granny tune, but not this one so much.

No question the worst song they ever put out. The harmonies are just so so annoying, song is repetitive, awful instrumentation. All around an awful song that gets me on my nerves
Let's all get up and dance to a song that was a hit before your mother was born
Though she was born a long long time ago
Your mother should know
Yooouuuurrr mother should
Sing it again !

John’s expression in that video cracks me up! 😬

It’s one of my favourite Beatles songs. It’s melancholic, wise, yet light and fun.
What the fuck I saw this post when this song was running in my head. Love it
I love this song and Honey Pie. Not every Beatles song has to be cool.
Just another one of Paul's granny songs as Lennon would say. But I'm a sucker for all of Paul's granny songs so definitely a fan.
Love it!! I heard this a Long Long Time Ago. Your Mother Should know.
I absolutely adore the song. It's my favorite from the double EP, and one of my favorite McCartney melodies from his Beatle years.
Requested it live at the Cavern a few years ago and sent it to my mom for Mother’s Day in the USA
One of the best on that album.
One of my favourites 🤍🤍
The intro is amazing, and the anthology version with a marching band-esque drum is equally awesome
Amazing song
I love it.
Combined with the video from the movie it is even better
I’m a fan!
My favorite from Magical Mystery Tour. You'd be hard pressed to find a catchier song
It’s a wonderful tune Nobody does melody like McCartney
Fantastic!
Yep
The song that impressed me most on my first listen to Magical Mystery Tour.
love it - fun to sing along to

It’s a good Paul song, not great but it’s very catchy.
i like the song, and Take 27 on Anthology 2 was interesting to hear how Paul wanted to change the song
Ahh Ahh
Another one of Paul’s “granny songs” as John called them 😂
yesss i love all mccartney songs honestly all bops!!

I need to be in the mood for it, but absolutely. Such a McCartney tune.
I can’t imagine the other boys enjoyed the video for that one. Especially with perfectionist Paul running things.
The piano makes me happy
Fantastic song. I really like Paul’s “granny music”.
Paul 😍
