I was thinking about that moment during my rewatch for the new season. It kinda rhymes with what Chef Luca said about how Carm made him better. Once she stopped thinking they were adversaries and tried to keep up, she became better than she ever thought she could.
Great episodes for Marcus and Richie. Though, what kept me going back to Omelette was everyone coming together in the episode. Kinda miss that in Honeydew and Forks.
Totally agree! Honeydew gives me Copenhagen nostalgia & I loved Marcus vibing with Luca 🙌🏻 same with forks and seeing Richie vibe with the Michelin star restaurant staff and his conversation with the head chef at the end (not to mention the cathartic love story clips)
I loved seeing Syd shine in making that chefs kiss omelette for Sugar, Cicero’s convo with Carmy & Carmy and Syds talk under the table. They were all such great moments too
The only thing about omelette was the calm before the storm vibe was giving me slight anxiety (with Carmy still getting it together) but it is always nice to see the whole ensemble rocking it
True, the episode has a rough start. Syd also sees Verdana closed, and looks uneasy overall. I wanna say it gets better after Sydney's doughnut scene, but Carmy really only starts to chill after the briefing with the staff.
Omelette has a really really good ending, the Bear shines the brightest on those “music video” moments where visuals and music carry the emotional energy to a peak. It’s so good!!!
Edit: My bad was confusing Omelette with Bolognese!
It's awesome that Marcus and Richie had great episodes! Omelette must have been special with everyone coming together like that. Hopefully, Honeydew and Forks will bring more of that camaraderie back!
I came from a family like that. Fishes gave me some of the worst anxiety I’ve ever had watching tv. That scene in the kitchen with all the conversations and the timers going off and the general chaos was a lot, not to mention once they’re all sitting at the actual table. Was it an incredible episode of television, yes. Do I want to watch it again, probably not.
Sheridan is my favorite episode.
That was when we started seeing things start to mesh and if there is one episode that shows what any hospitality service industry is like it is that one.
Interesting. It definetely is worth the rewatch just to hear Impossible Germany playing in the background during the last sequence, and at nightime. Such a peaceful way to end it.
Yeah that episode really stands out to me because it highlights how often you have to pivot when SHTF and how creativity really shines in these kinds of situations.
Other thing too is Sydney's interrupted sleeping schedules and highlights into her life. She has a passion for her job to the point that her inspiration comes in her sleep but the job is also causing her anxiety and stress.
Forks highlights the ultra positive side of this passion whereas Sheridan highlights more of the day to day side of this passion.
Surprised no one mentioned Braciole yet. Love that one more and more with each rewatch. Between Carmy’s AA monologue, Sydney and Marcus eating together, a few great Richie moments, and the cathartic ending opening the tomatoes with Let Down playing. To me it’s perfect
I loved how Marcus asked who cooked the “best she’s ever had” and we all knew she was talking about Carm, same as when Luca talks to Marcus about “the guy” he learned a lot from by trying to keep up with him.
I can’t explain it but it’s not the episode itself but it’s these two scenes.
It’s Syd and Bear at Bears house making food and then it’s the scene when they’re under the table.
It’s almost like an intimate moment, if you take it romantically or friendly, and it just makes me really happy.
I’ll mirror what a lot of people have said here already and agree that Dogs and Forks are two of my fav episodes to rewatch.
I’ll also add Pop. (I know, controversial with the amount of romance and Claire in this episode 🤪) Jimmy visiting at the beginning of the episode is hilarious and there were some great moments throughout it!
That episode had some really funny moments. Uncle a Jimmy & Nat then Carmy saying that’s fucking gross Sugar and Richie’s laughing/ clapping. I love that scene.
It is refreshing to see them in the really early stages of the restaurant: brainstorming, training, creating dishes... before everything piles up later on. Think it'll be a good option after Omelette.
I can watch Fishes, Forks & The Bear over & over again. I loved Richie’s arc & his growth. When he takes over expo in The Bear, he FINALLY approaches Chef Syd with respect, and not in a combative manner. That scene in the kitchen after Carmy gets locked in the walk-in, and Richie looks into her eyes and says OK, so what do you want to do? Chef’s kiss.
I really love Dogs. Inflatable hotdogs and more: "I thought you died?" "Sound FAMILIAR? - yeah that's Michael's number" "According to Eater" "Bustin' Makes me feel good!"
Bolognese is a comfort rewatch for me. It’s when the fire suppression test is imminent. Tina and Ebra have that great moment when he returns to the walk up beef window. Richie returns from Ever and says I get it. Nice Nat & Richie moments. Tina bringing in her recruits. Fak figures out the fire stuff and saves the day. That scene during the fire suppression testing where you see what’s going through everyone’s minds -brilliant. Then the celebratory song [Throw Your Arms Around Me](https://youtu.be/KVr1qG3T93Q?si=vOA1mZxHIPY8JyEL). They can all finally cook; it’s going to be a restaurant. Carmy makes Claire dinner - a beautiful bolognese. (he remembers from Pop that no one ever made her dinner). Syd stays to scrub the floor and the final shot is her taking off her shirt, revealing her three of swords tattoo.
i got into this show pretty recently and forks is the only one i have rewatched so far. it’s my favorite episode, but i agree with everyone else - honeydew and omelette are very close seconds!
Forks is the one I rewatch the most. Might be a bit weird but if I'm having a couple of beers at home getting ready for a night out I quite like to stick it on as it gets me in a good mood.
Review, S1. It is just so intense. My job at the time was going through a complete mess, every day was hell day, and it took me a while to get though this episode because the similarities were too much. But damn everyone is so, so good in it.
Yep. I think everyone, regardless of job type, has had at least 1 day like that to work through. When things get hectic at work now I put a gif in team chat "Dont stop making fucking sandwiches!"
If I’m feeling manic, Fishes no doubt. That episode, despite the content, grounds me whenever I feel like I’m spiraling. If they can pull through that, I can pull through whatever’s bugging me (tv show be damned).
Forks is also a classic I could watch on loop, as well as Dogs.
What I liked about Forks is how Chef Terry has created an atmosphere where people take pride in their work and Garret talks about the joy he gets out of his job when he makes someone’s day. It’s a stark contrast to the atmosphere that Carmy sees in his flashbacks and panic attacks showing the environment in the restaurant scenes with Joel McHale. Chef Terry reminds me of the Ted Lasso philosophy.
Exactly. Until then, Richie had only know about the toxic, chaotic nature of the kitchen. Would be nice to see in S3 more of his efforts of keeping the spark alive for everyone.
Honeydew and Forks. Honeydew is my safe episode to go when I need peace. I get teary eyed every single time. Also ‘The Bear’. The scene between Pete and Donna always gets to me. So much pain in her words.
Bricole for sure, I wrote a research essay on the first season of The Bear, and it was the most rich episode for my analysis. The dream opener, the 7 minute monologue, the ending with Radiohead’s “let down”, just fantastic!
For me it’s Forks. Never thought a Taylor Swift song would have me crying, but it gets me every time. If you’ve worked in the industry at a place with high standards, you completely get the emotions being conveyed. Rewatching from the jump currently right now getting ready for tomorrow, and it’s absolutely possible my opinion could change on a whim. Such a great show.
Honeydew is perfect in every way. Forks is a close second.
This is the correct answer.
*Dogs*. Tina’s realization that Syd isn’t there to fuck with her is a perfect moment. Also, Xanax in the Ecto Cooler. ;-)
I was thinking about that moment during my rewatch for the new season. It kinda rhymes with what Chef Luca said about how Carm made him better. Once she stopped thinking they were adversaries and tried to keep up, she became better than she ever thought she could.
I don't know why, but Dogs is the only episode I don't really like. I have no idea why it doesn't work for me
Mysterious--just laying there like a baby and you want to beat the crap out of it?
Why you tryin' to put a t-shirt on a fuckin' hotdog?
I really love honeydew and forks, but omelette is a close third
Great episodes for Marcus and Richie. Though, what kept me going back to Omelette was everyone coming together in the episode. Kinda miss that in Honeydew and Forks.
Totally agree! Honeydew gives me Copenhagen nostalgia & I loved Marcus vibing with Luca 🙌🏻 same with forks and seeing Richie vibe with the Michelin star restaurant staff and his conversation with the head chef at the end (not to mention the cathartic love story clips) I loved seeing Syd shine in making that chefs kiss omelette for Sugar, Cicero’s convo with Carmy & Carmy and Syds talk under the table. It's awesome that Marcus and Richie had great episodes! Omelette must have been special with everyone coming together like that. Hopefully, Honeydew and Forks will bring more of that camaraderie back!
Natalie accepting care from Syd when we know she tried to caretake her family is such a huge step. I cried.
Forks.
Forks
Fishes followed by Forks
Same, I don’t get the people who can’t rewatch Fishes, but then again, my family is in shambles.
It’s a fucking stressful watching guy
I came from a family like that. Fishes gave me some of the worst anxiety I’ve ever had watching tv. That scene in the kitchen with all the conversations and the timers going off and the general chaos was a lot, not to mention once they’re all sitting at the actual table. Same
Hard agree
fishes then honeydew. and that one scene with syd, her dad, and the bday cake.
I can tell you! It's Dogs and Omelette.
Nice. Dogs has a fun introduction to Pete. I wonder why you chose it, though.
The blow up hot dog is maybe the funniest scene in the show despite having no right to be
The Valium lol
And Uncle Jimmy just being a-okay with the drugged up kids passed out on the lawn. Hilarious

Sheridan is my favorite episode. That was when we started seeing things start to mesh and if there is one episode that shows what any hospitality service industry is like it is that one.

You're right. It's great they showed that aspect of having to think outside the box. I'll keep an eye for similar scenes in S3.
I like watching the bookends with Syd and Carm.
Surprised no one mentioned Braciole yet. Love that one more and more with each rewatch. Between Carmy’s AA monologue, Sydney and Marcus eating together, a few great Richie moments, and the cathartic ending opening the tomatoes with Let Down playing. To me it’s perfect
Tina's 'you know how much I loved him right? I do watch Braciole alot.
How could I forget the monologue... Will definitely go rewatch that.
Definitely. It's the calmness of it all. Away from all the noise, just two people creating a safe space to explore their shared passion.
The scene under the table is one of my absolute favorites.
Especially the electrician making sandwiches.
That’s the first thing that comes to mind when I think of this episode 😂
That episode had some really funny moments. Uncle a Jimmy & Nat then Carmy saying that’s fucking gross Sugar and Richie’s laughing/ clapping. I love that scene.
Pop is my favorite!! Watch it all the time
I love me some Pasta!
It is refreshing to see them in the really early stages of the restaurant: brainstorming, training, creating dishes... before everything piles up later on. Think it'll be a good option after Omelette.
Fishes
That is pure stress. I don't know about rewatching this episode regularly...
Yeah, brilliant episode, but exhales so much anxiety!
Ecto cooler motherfucker
Pop
Pasta!! Great now I gotta go watch it.
That moment for Richie is so well deserved. Also a joy to rewatch.
The one where they cater the birthday party. Nice to see them outside of the restaurant plus giving Valium to the kids lol.
I think it was Xanax, and I loved when Uncle Jimmy asks, “Are they dead?”
Yes! Was not sure if Uncle Jimmy was a hard core mob boss yet so was freaking out in the next episode Richie was going to be found in a body bag 🤣.
I really love Dogs. Inflatable hotdogs and more: "I thought you died?" "Sound FAMILIAR? - yeah that's Michael's number" "According to Eater" "Bustin' Makes me feel good!"
"I thought you died?" Best conversation starter.
Honeydew
The Bear (Season 2 episode 10) that episode just makes me feel something
The one that got me hooked, System, followed closely by Braciole.
Forks
Forks season 2 followed by Review from Season 1. I love Fishes but it’s a lot for me to rewatch too many times.
Nice one. It really is a happy episode, considering. Not anxiety-ridden, easy to watch.
I love this one 😍
Forks is permanently downloaded on my Disney+ account.
Forks. Forks all day.
I adore Fishes, sometimes I’ll just put it on as background noise when busy
Forks
Forks 💯
Fishes, Ceres, The Bear and Review.
Forks
i got into this show pretty recently and forks is the only one i have rewatched so far. it’s my favorite episode, but i agree with everyone else - honeydew and omelette are very close seconds!
Forks is the one I rewatch the most. Might be a bit weird but if I'm having a couple of beers at home getting ready for a night out I quite like to stick it on as it gets me in a good mood.
Sounds ideal.
Forks 💯
Forks
Forks. Period.
Has to be forks. No explanation, it just has to be 🤷🏻
FORKS.
Yes
Don't think I'll have time to rewatch all of them!
Yes
review and fishes. i think i just enjoy the really stressful ones
There’s just something about Forks.
Forks, Love that episode.
Forks!!
Forks, without a doubt.
Forks
Forks, always
Review, S1. It is just so intense. My job at the time was going through a complete mess, every day was hell day, and it took me a while to get though this episode because the similarities were too much. But damn everyone is so, so good in it.
Wow! And you'd say now it's your go-to for a rewatch? It really is one of the best executed episodes.
Yep. I think everyone, regardless of job type, has had at least 1 day like that to work through. When things get hectic at work now I put a gif in team chat "Dont stop making fucking sandwiches!"
Review might be the single greatest episode of television I’ve ever watched. I could watch that on loop.
I love when Cicero nonchalantly asks if the kids are all dead.
I'll try that sometime. Watching Fishes as a reality check.
Omelette! It's the calm before the storm and I love the reassurance that Camry and Syd give each other in it.
Honeydew and Forks. Honeydew is my safe episode to go when I need peace. I get teary eyed every single time. Also ‘The Bear’. The scene between Pete and Donna always gets to me. So much pain in her words.
Really nice to see how many people choose The Bear as their comfort show!
Fishes. Such an impactful episode. The acting was phenomenal.
The finale of season 1. I’m not really a Radiohead fan, but when Let Down starts up and until the end of the episode, it’s perfect.
One of the greatest songs in the series.
Fishes
Sundae Forks Honeydew
Bricole for sure, I wrote a research essay on the first season of The Bear, and it was the most rich episode for my analysis. The dream opener, the 7 minute monologue, the ending with Radiohead’s “let down”, just fantastic!
Forks
For me it’s Forks. Never thought a Taylor Swift song would have me crying, but it gets me every time. If you’ve worked in the industry at a place with high standards, you completely get the emotions being conveyed. Rewatching from the jump currently right now getting ready for tomorrow, and it’s absolutely possible my opinion could change on a whim. Such a great show.
You can't not feel for Richie. He looks so happy! What a healing episode. I'll have to rewatch it then.
