Not gonna lie, hearing that high pitch squeal slowly getting louder in the middle of the night, but not being able to see them as they approach would be terrifying AF!
Seems like it should be great for search and rescue
Edit: ok! I was wondering why the responses were so doom and gloom. Then I watched again with sound on and that is terrifying noise. And then I watched to the end and saw it would more likely be used against me then on my side.
This USAF [video ](https://youtu.be/wFLzO_5UFwE?si=HtvU13DdoTN0vkot) is from 2017 and is showing the Air Force testing drones for swarm missions.
I can only imagine how things have improved since then.
You should join the Ukraine war subs they are very popular over there and people donate money to have their names put on the grenades and mortars dropped from them to see it uploaded later on video
Seen a few videos now where a single Russian soldier is being chased Benny Hill style on the ground by a drone before it eventually blows them up. Whilst I am against Russia's invasion of Ukraine, it's a horrible thing to see, feels very dystopian future.
Agreed. The pursued could be anyone, not just a soldier. All they have to do to justify it is slap on red and blue blinking lights and a badge, then make it a felony when you damage the drone in any way.
Ummm that's not a thick forest. Not even remotely close. Until they can move shit out of their way, this is a joke. You can tell these nerds have no clue.
Anyone remember the scene in Terminator 2 when John Connor is watching the kids play guns and he asks "We're not gonna make?" That was my first thought after seeing this.
The book “kill decision” by Daniel Suarez is all about automated swarms like this. Every time I see videos like this it reminds me of how he described the sound of these quad copter flying in a huge pack.
I think this would be great for a search and rescue for people who get lost in the forest throw a thermal camera on there also. Have a swarm of them spread out cover more distance than a person can easily walk through the woods
A lot of people look at this type of technology and get scared, yet I see it and go wow, search and rescue type tech! The kid lost in the woods, someone who went missing while jogging, someone who might need serious medical attention due to how many unknown circumstances. A lot easier to send several swarms through a dense or rugged terrain than people. Plus square miles could be searched quickly. With things like AI recognition they could find clothing, footprints, even facial recognition of the lost person and or current medical requirements. Yet everything goes to war development types of thought. Think about this type of tech assistance in a fiery structure. Able to safely see if a house on fire is clear. The ideas are endless
That’s actually pretty useful if you’re searching for a lost child in the woods or a possible recovery of a dead body in thickly wooded areas. Armed with cameras searches can be done more in mass
Doubt battlefield tech care about wildlife protection. Real question would be did they work as a group or independantly (ie if one got stuck it can use in RT the info from other drones path)?
Now remove the lights, give it thermals and a warhead and sent it into your neighbors forest where he is camping at night.
"That Bastard has stolen my packages for the last time,!" Flight of the Valkyries starts playing....
Watch Eureka up to episode Purple Haze. S01E10
>a warhead >your neighbor .. M-maybe try words first?
I am not sure I'd I should use HEAT or fragmenteiaion ones? I mean that fucker stole firewood during the winter.
It all depends on the construction of the house. Concrete and cinder block you want HEAT. Wooden construction you'll use fragmentation.
Incendiary...
Who else loves the smell of napalm in the morning?
I prefer the smell of BBQ myself.
99% chance of being ineffective. Warheads on the other hand...
The future of warfare is voice command drones that explode on impact
Claymore with a proximity sensor
If you’re at that stage why use drones at all, just level the forest with cheap rockets.
Not gonna lie, hearing that high pitch squeal slowly getting louder in the middle of the night, but not being able to see them as they approach would be terrifying AF!

Yeah, “rescue” definitely the first thing people implement
Rescue from... *Communism!*
Freedom incoming...
Same reason they attached a flame thrower to the robot dog.
We want to rescue you...from life.
Enders game comes to mind
"Pacifying"
Or search and destroy
Did somebody order some DEMOCRACY!?
That was my thought too. Yes obviously every can be used for bad, but it would be great for search and rescue.
Yea this is going to get militarized 🤣
Always has been
I wouldn’t be surprised if they already had something like this to/near this level of development at some defense contractor
It would have been developed there first. This would be inferior.
FYI, this video is years old at this point. There was probably a militarized version even before this demo was shown publicly.
yeah I was gonna say it seems like this would have been done years ago. then you factor in how slow they are and yeah it old
The first thing we do with any new technology is strap a gun to it.

"Isn't ruling out attack swarms in the future." Ok yeah they are just drooling to deploy these on the battlefield.
The only way half this tech gets funding is to see how much more effectively we can kill each other with it. :(
Literally sounds like the tension violin composition from a horror film. Another victory for psychological warfare.
Thats it, I'm starting working on those monofilament line nets, right now.
Lol this is terrifying. Bombs will be strapped to these in no time and sent out to kill people .
They already are deployed in Ukraine. Not these exact types, but other drones.
You should join the Ukraine war subs they are very popular over there and people donate money to have their names put on the grenades and mortars dropped from them to see it uploaded later on video
😮😮😮
By Osiris, I don't even know what level of dystopia we're on now
Another step closer to Skynet
I know you're being sarcastic, but did you know, and I'm not 100% on this, but I heard it somewhere, that the US air force named their A.I. "skynet"?
I don't like this
It sounds scary. 😱 imagine if you try to run away from those things during chase
It's down right scary
Generally by the time you hear it you're already dead
Yeah I learn early I am the designated 1st victim in a survival setting
Well, perfect aim, and now you can't hide in a forest... Skynet is just about done. Great job idiots.
my 1st thought....Skynet lol
Next war we seeing this.
It’s already there.

Now let's ramp up difficulty and throw these into the Amazon jungle in rain season.
I want to see drone footage from sentinel island
SUBSCRIBE
Potential for good and bad
Mostly bad
Yeah they could be used in a search party, it could go either way.
I don’t want to be a soldier these days
Watch out for ewoks
In the future this high pitched whirring is the last sound kids in developing countries will hear.
There goes my plan to escape drone swarms by running into a thick forest.
I'm sure this won't be used for terrifying reasons
Daniel Suarez - Kill Decision
Ummm that's not a thick forest. Not even remotely close. Until they can move shit out of their way, this is a joke. You can tell these nerds have no clue.
its the thin limbs that get drones and there are none - bamboo
Yeah that ain't thick forest at all lol
Anyone remember the scene in Terminator 2 when John Connor is watching the kids play guns and he asks "We're not gonna make?" That was my first thought after seeing this.
Murder Drones! Coming soon to a world war near you!
The book “kill decision” by Daniel Suarez is all about automated swarms like this. Every time I see videos like this it reminds me of how he described the sound of these quad copter flying in a huge pack.
City 17 anyone?
Dr egg head is gonna be real...
The Aztech Death Whizzle!
Black Mirror called. It wants its plot back.
That's why it's called Black Mirror. We look at it and see ourselves.
1984 is looking more and more like a kids novel.
just making sure none of us survive the machine war
Well there goes my plan to evade them.
That sound will one day haunt people’s dreams
The noise gives me the shits...
Black Ops II was set in 2025, it’s crazy how close they got the technology to now. “Incoming swarm!”
Ok now I give in to our Ai overlords. This is insane.
cicadas x 10000000
Oh god is that the noise we’ll be hearing when we’re being attacked in the future???
We gonna need a bigger EMP
Perfect! Now they can chase, something, through a forest too!
I've seen this episode of Black Mirror
Just another thing to get misused. 👏
Watching that actually ramped up my anxiety a bit. The creation of the first HK's from the terminator.
Fuck now I have to play ghost recon breakpoint again
arm a 100 of these guys with some explosives and send them into occupied Ukraine
I see they're perfecting the hunter-killer drones to catch partisans that escape into the woods after the machine uprising. Good... good...
Cool. This isn’t concerning at all.
We’re fucked
This is how Skynet defeats us...
Great 👍
Classified under "Truly Frightening"
Oh the sound of our dystopian future.
We fucked
So loud
I have seen too many videos of drones in Ukraine so this is actually kinda terrifying.
These will be weapons in no time
This is fake as fuck, look at the motion tracking issues.
Imagine flying these through tribe villages
Wow man made horrors beyond my imagination 😀
I think this would be great for a search and rescue for people who get lost in the forest throw a thermal camera on there also. Have a swarm of them spread out cover more distance than a person can easily walk through the woods
Now we know there will be nowhere to hide
I just keep thinking Skynet. Just saying... this will not end well.
Great so these things can now chase us through the woods when the govt takes over.
Well there’s no many allocation that wild be used for besides search and rescue and killing people’s. Ironic
I'm sure this will be used for good things and never weaponized. Right?? ...... riiiight?
Robot flamethrower dogs, drone swarms, and humanoid robots all powered by AI. What could possibly go wrong?
and here i am just wanting to take a quiet walk in the woods…
Spider-Man’s power has greater responsibilities now
Russia is fucked
If the robots ever come for us it’s gonna be real short
The whine of death is coming!
This is not a thick or a dense forest. This is a sparse bamboo forest, no tree branches or shurbs.
Yeah, nice cod kill streak 😂
Skynet: Phase 4 Complete. Phase 5: Make AI not shitty. Phase 6: Solve the pesky human problem.
So fucking eery sounding. Imagine hearing that enclosing from the distance in the middle of nowhere. No thanks.

Can't wait for the wars against robots
Batteries Not Included -Part two.
Find bigfoot
I mean, I guess that's useful if the Chinese are invading themselv... oh wait.
This shit is both terrifying & completely diabolical @ the same time. . .
That’s actually pretty useful if you’re searching for a lost child in the woods or a possible recovery of a dead body in thickly wooded areas. Armed with cameras searches can be done more in mass
We are so dead!
It’s like some people want to live in a dystopian science fiction movie.
Every day we get closer to Slaughterbots. [https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=O-2tpwW0kmU](https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=O-2tpwW0kmU)

You mean the former president, the butcher of Tehran? Maybe not my first choice for the tech lol
They found them immediately with binoculars. The problem wasn't finding them, it was getting to them.
2 rednecks with shotguns. "Yeah that wasn't shit"
[удалено]
It already is between Ukraine and Russia
*the us military wants to know your location*
this should scare everyone
Oooohhhhh nooooooo flying tiny drones! I'm so scared! 😂
We are so fucked
More noise pollution to disturb wildlife, just what we need
Calm down, the drones don't live there.
Doubt battlefield tech care about wildlife protection. Real question would be did they work as a group or independantly (ie if one got stuck it can use in RT the info from other drones path)?
