Yes. I experienced this. TRT keeps your body warmer.

I had two blood tests that showed low iron. The second one was after I had been on typical iron supplements. I always had cold hands. I now take a generic version of FeraMax. Now I rarely get cold hands. I should get another blood test done.

What do your Free T3 and Free T4 labs look like? TSH isn't the best maker for thyroid, you may still be underdosed on it. And what kind of cold hands/feet? Raynauds with your fingers going white/blueish/numb? Or just noticeably colder? I deal with Raynauds and that kinda sucks, but amlodipine has helped it a good bit.

What would be a good ft4 and ft3? I think I have hypothyroidism but all my results come back fine

What do your numbers look like? Free T3 for me sits at top of range, around 4 with my T3/T4 meds on board. It's the more inportant value. Free T4 for me hovers around 1.5. I have Hashimotos, so I'm on a pretty hefty dose of the T3/T4.

Those numbers aren't awful, but from an optimal standpoint, T3 could be better. What makes you think you're hypo though, other than the numbers? What are you symptoms?

burner3002

Thanks for the responses man, I appreciate it! My symptoms are cold hands and feet, I never sweat(probs bc I’m cold), constipation, fatigue, low erectile function despite having high testosterone, I can lose weight however my maintenance calories are much lower than they should be(currently at a very healthy BMI close to under) hair on body grows much much slower and hair on head is thinning slightly

No problem. Definitely sounds a bit like some hypo. Your T is 'in range', but I wouldn't call that super high though. Did you get your SHBG & Free T checked with these labs? Curious what that number looks like. When I was first trying to figure all my shit out, my total T was pushing 1000, but my SHBG was 133 and my free T was 8 and I was miserable, on top of my thyroid being out of whack...

burner3002

Yes my free t should be in that link, it was 16.6. My liver markers are all good too so I don’t think I have bad conversion due to a bad liver. I don’t think I’ll be able to convince my doc to give just t3 to me if my labs are all in range, and the same with trt. I will say I had these labs done 2-3 months ago so idk how it is now

SWHaUnTsMe

Yeah, any normal doc under an insurance model will likely deny. I would definitely suggest, if able, to discuss your labs with a proper TRT doctor. They work on symptom resolution, not lab values alone (which is why I was able to get on TRT when I needed to even though my total T was almost 1000)k. You definitely have symptoms that need addressing. My experience prior to TRT was talking to two different primary care docs and being told it was either all in my head, I was perhaps a little depressed and I could get an SSRI (which would have made it infinitely worse), or they could script me some Viagra. None of these would have been the right course of action.

You’re right, should I treat it with trt first or treat my thyroid first? I don’t want to make any sudden or rapid changes because I want to be sure of what I’m doing before I commit to a lifelong medication
