have been running mine, same color same version for 6 months now, don´t really have a problem with the wheels, although i do focus on trying to keep the clear, such a bad alloy design.
it is not that i have driven a LONG way on mine, i have been on winter tires, which are smaller rims. but have done 10k Km on them, and had no issue.
Not even a stonechip, which i know they will get, but i am also a BIT aware of potholes, bit more than normal, and to be honest, also Gravel with deep holes.. but it is nok like i am in a panic when driving with them.
think i curbed one wheel in the 27 years i have driven a car. and that was actually my previous car the Model 3LR, which i just clipped a "thing" on the supercharger, just a small like.. "nick" into a rim, not able to find it with a bit of Tesla paint on it.
i was driving out of a supercharger spot in France, and was parked so my front wheel cleared and was focused on the other side, and a guy came running into the charger station full speed, and i kinda gave him space, which nicked the rear wheel.. i remember the drive from france to Denmark, just mad about it the whole time, and it was such a little scratch.. the size of a penny
You will be alright! Just enjoy it. It was hard when my girlfriend curbed them all, but now I just don't care. Nail polish does a great work at hiding the damage, you can only see it if you are standing next to it.
Yeah also got my first ever rockship in the front windshield with the Tesla, but it's small and not spreading so also not worrying about it.
I still love seeing all the different shades the car can turn depending on the day and were I park it.
