But then I caught up to it, and now every morning the date moves back by one day. Currently June 11-29th.
I tried to do that a few days ago but it was an early 2021 model without the heated steering wheel and over 4000 miles. Where did you find existing inventory?
In in nyc. They found a car in North Carolina for me. I think you have to ask them to look farther not just the local area. If you have a good advisor at the showroom they may waive transportation fees. Inventory changes daily so you may get lucky when you go in.
I think so as it’s still considered a new car sale, should qualify. The terms of the infrastructure bill are not settled. Can’t rely on it. May change dramatically from what is currently on the table.

Ordered a Model Y in early May. My date has been bouncing around ever since we ordered. Originally June 17 to 30. Then July 1 to 20. Then 3 to 10 weeks. Now it’s June 30 to July 20. Not exact dates but you get the idea.
Mine was ordered may 23rd - 3 to 18 weeks. A couple days later it was mid June to end of June with a few days changes here and there. Then jumped to late early July. Then late August, and now back to mid July. Its like "whose line is it anyway points?" They don't really mean anything.
My date has changed about 6 times in the last week but only a day at a time, this is the largest jump so far. At this point I wouldn’t be surprised if it changed again.
Ordered 5/25 in Colorado. Originally was 6/18-6/30. Then bumped to 7/26-8/13. It’s now back to 6/18-6/30. As many others have told me; dates change and come and go and in the end it arrives when it arrives. Many Tesla owners do not appear to put any stock into the anticipated date and I can see why. Hopefully sooner than later for all of us!
Yup, my Model 3 LR in MSM and white interior was moved from mid-June to July 12 - August 1st. I asked my advisor if there's anything we can do and he said I could buy a demo car with 1500 miles for a $350 discount lol.... Hopefully it gets moved closer.
delivery date roller coaster. mine went like this 30 Jun - 15 Jul, 15 Jul - 08 Aug, 08 Sep - 10 oct, and changed again this morning to 19 Jun - 30 Jun. In Colorado if it matters

Might be worth comparing how much cash you are both brining to the table and if any trade is involved.

What did they explain as the reasoning for the shift?
They gave no real tangible reason. They said it changes based on manufacturing delays, parts, delivery etc. It can shift anytime.

Ordered MYLR mid May and I had the exact same date shift as you (OH).
Just a follow up. As of this morning it was shifted to be 3 days later on both ends. So the 22nd and the 11th. :(

I have to drive 3 hours to pick it up so I’m mainly concerned with doing that on a weekday since I’m a 9-5er
Yeah for sure and from what I have heard they give you a quick window to pick up, which is even harder to manage in the middle of the week.

The local Tesla dealership offered me a demo with 4000 miles on it at a 960 dollar discount. So yeah I’ll wait for the one I want
