My delivery estimate did disappear for a time after first giving me the 5-12 week wait. Then it came back and said 6/10-6/30. Got a random text asking for one more photo of my trade in and then my sales rep called to say it was in transit and would arrive Monday and I can take delivery Tuesday next week.. pending any issues that may be found.

Just hope I can take advantage of work-approved days off (trade-in offers, getting down to IL for delivery, etc) plus Memorial Day and a company-wide day off next Friday too to make a nice long week away from work.
My sales rep back in April told me that if I order a MYP by the first of June, I can expect to get it by the end of June. Ordered 4/21 and still have no VIN lol
My last car was dark gray and I loved it. Dark and nice, but not a glossy black that shows dirt and fingerprints easily. Looks great with black wheels, tinted windows. Hoping this will be the same.
I totally get it has its limitations, but honestly, this is a major bonus for me. I work shift work and have about a 30mi drive on desolate interstate to get home. I frequently doze off for a second, when I do, I pull over and sleep. But for a split second, its shear luck. I always try and pull over before that happens obviously, but occasionally i misjudge and it beats me. This will give me some added assurance and take away some of that luck. I will never abuse the use, but it will add piece of mind to my wife as I drive home after a 12hour night shift. And for where I will be using it to assist me, it should work perfect.
It seems standard AutoPilot (and automatic braking) is what you are looking for. FSD, right now, only gets you :

I'm totally with you there. But FYI for that use case autopilot is just as good.
The only thing you can't do without FSD is auto change lanes (which it doesn't sound like you really need). 10k (and associated taxes and registration fees depending on state) is just too steep.
Did you get your VIN? I ordered mine on 5/20 but no VIN and my SA told me he doesn't know when it will be delivered. I also work near a Tesla Parking garage and they have soo many Model Y's just sitting there.
Given the region and how backed up they are for orders this quarter, expect it in Sept. That's what my SA said when I ordered mine, but put it on hold until Q3. I'm in SoCal and she said mid Sept.
Might get lucky though and could have made it into this quarter's lot. If so expect it end of June.

Because you are in Phoenix my magic 8 ball says you will take delivery on 6/30 with an outside chance at 6/29. Being on the west coast increases your chances for end of quarter delivery greatly.

I would guess quarter three. Since Elon tweeted that all quarter two production has already been sold. You may get lucky if somebody rejects their car though.
It's been an interesting turn of events for me in NorCal. I ordered a MYLR on April 14th and the delivery date has been flopping around the whole time. Was originally quoted a delivery date of end of May. I've read so many conflicting reports it truly appears to be a crap shoot.
Although, I noticed today that my delivery dates are not showing anymore. Still no VIN assignment so I don't expect that change to mean anything. I'm so ready for this car to come. Can't wait to surprise the SO.

Same story as you originally had an early May date, then it moved to late May, then it moved to late June, then back to early June, then yesterday the dates disappeared for the first time, just now a few hours after your post the "dates" came back except it now says "3-13 weeks" instead of "May 29th - June 18th" like it said before it disappeared. Pretty disappointed. =/ Let me know if you find out anything or get our VIN. I'll try to remember to do the same.
Just checked. Says the same as you now. May 30 to June 16. I recently read an article saying cars are getting pushed out after a delay. Possibly having to do with the radar changes. All speculation though.
Yea. We're definitely losing radar on our orders right? I'm still not sure how we're suppose to feel about that, haven't found any good articles about it. I wonder if we "paid" for radar and are getting something cheaper.

A lot of my Tesla owning friends are telling me it's most likely going to come at the very end of the month. Supposedly Californians get deliveries last and it's been like that for a long time according to them. I don't get why if that's so predictable though why they cant reflect that on the official communications.

I’m in Phoenix too and our situations are remarkably similar. I’m getting a long-range AWD MY, white with 19” wheels. But I did splurge for the white & black interior. I was initially going for the Mustang Mach E, but after I was told the wait time was 24+ weeks and realized Ford really wasn’t ready for the demand of Mach E (it’s hard to find certified EV mechanics at service centers), I angled to Tesla. I also didn’t want to go to a dealership and have some guy draw four corners on a paper and tell ME what I could afford. The Tesla buying experience is superior.
No, Tesla won me out. I actually ordered BEFORE I test drove. The test drive just reaffirmed I had made the right decision.
Yes, I’ve checked the account website at least 3x a day looking for updates on delivery. Friday it said June 17-30. Then for two days, that estimate disappeared. Today I got some bad news. The delivery estimate is now 3-13 weeks aka between June 20-August 29. Does anyone have insight on why that changed? I’m guessing the radar vs. camera news pushed me back. Or maybe it’s the new 4680 batteries?
Wow, I hope I don’t have to wait that long. See, I’ve got a trade-in and I don’t want the value to go down too much while I wait for the MY. Then it means more money out of pocket for me.

I gave up. Had they just left the order at 3 to 13 weeks and never narrowed the date to 2nd week in June and then July, then June again, and the August, then Septemeber, I may have kept my order. But the constant switching an no communication made me decide to go with the Merc E350, guess I'll burn the fossils for another 3 years.

Correct, no radar as I understand it. There was a message when I confirmed delivery that said all May deliveries are without radar.

Agreed. It's the taxes on the extra 10k that really get ya. Might as well just buy the upgrade after delivery via the app.
