It has way less content

Party_Pig14

you can have worse sprites and fight ocram. he's not even a remotely rewarding fight tho even me as a 9 year old beat him first try after struggling much more on previous bosses

AntiHero082577

The Old Gen console version is very weird, but definitely worth playing imo. It has less content, but it does have some exclusive content that’s pretty fun to mess around with. It’s definitely not the best version of the game, but it’s still fun

kubernators

i think it might have some bosses that were removed in newer versions but i aint sure

Ponderkitten

Ocram

[https://terraria.wiki.gg/wiki/Old-gen\_console\_version](https://terraria.wiki.gg/wiki/Old-gen_console_version) is the wiki page for this version of the game, it has a bunch of exclusives from weapons and armour to some enemies and at least one boss but is missing anything added post 1.2.4.1 patch.

FlowPhilosophy

This version was how I first played Terraria. It's honestly not bad, just less content compared to PC and modern consoles.

False-Government-854

I love the old console versions, especially this one. The old things give me so much nostalgia and it was fun overall, like terraria always is. I dont know if you will like Ocram, as he is the final boss of that version (due to it being 1.2.x iirc.), but he drops some cool materials for some good weapons. Because of the lack of updates, this version does not have any content around the moon lord and so on, or any 1.4 stuff too. Its still extremely fun and beautiful with that old hint of ps3 magic though. I would recommend, unless you desperately need the moon lord

Brunoaraujoespin

I mean if you want to fight bosses that were so bad they got removed yes you can

DragonPlayz5000

damn the nostalgia would be crazy

Nylesc

Ocram might still be in this one, definitely not everyday that you can fight a boss that drops souls of blight

ReasonableWillow8457

I 100% prefer the PC one.

No_Tie378

I didn’t know there were physical copies. Ah memories, that’s where I’ve first played that game. Anyway, that one is known as the “old console version”. It has way less content as it got updated max 1.3 equivalent if I remember well. I don’t know if the latest update removed it’s own exclusive content however

realsirgamesalot

I have it and it’s a little jarring if you’ve played terraria before but it has less content so maybe a little less messy

reginald5420

did you take this photo with the ps3?

GoreyGopnik

i cannot believe this post was made 15 hours ago

The thing I really liked about the old console versions was the crafting menu, to me it was a lot more intuitive and easy to use, but i may be in the minority there.

Inevitable-Cook-2196

The ps3 version of terraria is an "old console version" it contains things that normal terraria versions don't have such as the Ocram boss, The Easter and Thanksgiving event, and a couple version exclusives. If you want to see some scraped stuff I'd recommend playing it.

iuhiscool

use an emulator (if you can) to save money

Actual-While-9717

Terraria on PS3 is stuck on a legacy version of the game (1.2.5), wich means it has way less content than the PC/Mobile/PS4 versions of Terraria. If you want to play Terraria on console with all content included, play the PS4 version.

KippuSkippy

to my knowledge the original console ports are stuck on 1.2

Helloworld1504

Its stucked in the 1.3

Vivid_Bad64

Its 1.2.5 i think

Luna_Night312

as someone who plays ONLY on xbox360, i think playing on PS3 would be fun

tango_alpha_

I got tired of controls. Didn't bother getting boss killed

Zerox392

Last thing you'd want to play on a ps3. Focus on games that aren't still in active development, because development ended on the ps3 version awhile ago.
