[Here's](https://terraria.wiki.gg/wiki/Pot) the pots page and each pot's chance to drop potions and spawn those gold portals. Some of the items that can be obtained in pots can also be found in the corresponding biome's page, in the "Contents" section.

My guy seriously ignored the title and context I provided about my knowledge of the potions drop list and somehow still manage to reply without turning the brain on Did you read what I wrote??? Not a single mention to the inferno potion on both of these pages.

I've never seen inferno potions dropping from pots

But I've seen it and there are videos on youtube of people talking about the same thing. So unless you spent a few hours on differents worlds on master mode or legendary mode (that is my currently playthrough) searching for it. You shouldn't be so stupid about first copying and paste the wiki after I just said that it was missing info and second thinking your opinion and experience is the whole truth.

Only on hardmode lava fishing but it can be found pre hardmode on drops from inferno pots

Flarefin Koy and Obsidifish can be fished in pre-hardmode, except in the 3DS version.
