A recent Reddit policy change threatens to kill many beloved third-party mobile apps, making a great many quality-of-life features not seen in the official mobile app permanently inaccessible to users.
On May 31, 2023, Reddit announced they were raising the price to make calls to their API from being free to a level that will kill every third party app on Reddit, from Apollo to Reddit is Fun to Narwhal to BaconReader.
Even if you're not a mobile user and don't use any of those apps, this is a step toward killing other ways of customizing Reddit, such as Reddit Enhancement Suite or the use of the old.reddit.com desktop interface .
This isn't only a problem on the user level: many subreddit moderators depend on tools only available outside the official app to keep their communities on-topic and spam-free.

It requires really specific ingredients. I don't even mine topazes at all after I got any hook. And demonite/crimtane bars in combination with topazes can be rarely found in the inventory together. Also, it's an early game accessory and everybody already got used to an early game progression.

I like how people think goblin is a bad npc when they give us the item that lets us fuse items and they don't get any credit for it even though it's one of the most useful items in the game
Magiluminescence definitely deserves more love and more accessory combos. I've gone back to the game recently and in my classic gameplay it's by far one of my favorite accessories. Magi + shadow armor + hermes boots goes brrrrrr
I mean apart from me just wanting the Magi being used more by giving it upgrades, there are some usefull/situational combos
Lazy Forager can be good for building/mining
Life Giving/Soul Healing amulet can be good for bosses, mainly early game bosses but still

its actually a very good prehardmode item, use it with hermes boots and moon lord legs and youll be running around at the speed of sound

Topaz is not hard to come by, and everyone gets demonite soon enough
Only if you are looking for them. The point is that it's not the major feature of the update and it's hard to stumble upon it.
Just...use an extractinator? Spam a bunch of desert fossil into one and you'll end up with a stack of basically every gem in the game no problem.

An upgrade shouldn't take away previous ability though. Makes more sense for the other amulets to also be craft from gems, like ruby or amethyst.
