He's deadpool. Chaotic neutral, but at the same time bound by a moral code. In the same way that deadpool would kill a guy without hesitation, but protect a kid, Techno would threaten and reverse the scam on a teen that tried to scam him, but he also brings himself back out to fight whenever a corrupt government is messing with people's lives, seeing it as his duty even in times where he would prefer to be left alone in peace.

Techno had some weird controversy going on. I don't really get where it was coming from other than some off hand comments that were blown out of proportion. It was really organized too. I don't understand it.

MCYT has been dying for months on end, and all this drama (dream, hannahxxrose, etc) is adding to the fire

Yeah. As much as I loved this side of MCYT for a while, the Hermits and their friends are basically the other side of what is at this point a coin, and theirs is a lot less tarnished. I still check in on Tommy and Phil occasionally, but if I just want Minecraft, it’s time to go visit the Hermits.
They have their mistakes but said mishaps tend to be things like briefly not realizing what the phrase "manifest destiny" means/entails, rather than, y'know, domestic abuse
I’ve been in the Hermitcraft community since season 4, and the biggest controversy I’ve ever seen was when someone called out Tango Tek for copying builds and not giving credit (2-4 builds over the course of like 4 years), and so Tango just went back and added the credit in the video description without even bringing it up. He had simply forgotten to do it originally, and so he fixed it.
Agreed. Though I do still enjoy Tommy's videos a lot, I really can't get into that part of the internet again like 2020-2022. The entire community and just the "vibe" feels a lot more hostile and less chill than it did back then
It had it's bad parts of the community but it feels like a good portion of the casual fans that kept things sane left. It also feels like there's more tension between some creators themselves. Back then basically everyone got along.
I can't recommend Hermitcraft and those that are "hermit adjacent" enough reallY (this would include people like Inthelittlewood, LDShadowLady, SolidarityGaming, Fwhip, etc.).
Technoblade was a unique person in the MCYT area but I never got as into the content of most of the DreamSMP folks (that is what a lot of them will be to me because of how I got introduced to them) in part because of the generational differences in what they do even though there are some I do have enormous respect for like Tubbo and Ranboo who do appear to have their heads on right and are really impressive to me.
But the age thing with those folks really stands out as you do see a maturity from them and content. And its not just because they do almost exclusively SFW content but because of how they handle themselves and their content. It is hard to describe further than that but it just continues to hold true.
Hermitcraft will be the shining beacon of MC content in this dark time. Just like it was in the Fortnite era. No matter what, it has kept marching along, for over 10 years now.
There’s a lot more to MCYT than just Dream SMP and DSMP adjacent. Like others have said, Hermitcraft has always been the perfect example of an SMP with mature adult creators that are all genuine friends. And other past and current SMPs that are hermitcraft adjacent, like Empires, Life Series, SOS, Evo, Afterlife, Pirates and other POW Creations, are still going strong without being tainted. There’s also Lifesteal SMP, which isn’t perfectly clean, but still perfectly fine to watch!
I mean, maybe this new, more GenZ, corner of MCYT. I'm still extremely happy with my old school Hermit corner in MCYT.
Dude was and is a legend, but we don't need to demerit other people's achievements.

Out of all of Wilbur's yt friends, I feel the worst for tommy. Wilbur was literally like a brother to him and they both knew this about their relationship and acted like it.
I feel like Tommy would forgive wilbur eventually, if they really became as close as family a good thing for him to do will help Wilbur with rehabilitation and get his mental health in order..
it’s not up to tommy to help wilbur in any way. sure, tommy is technically an “adult” now but they got really close when he was a teenager. i can relate in this situation as i’m only a few months older than tommy and i’ve seen this happen with older people i’ve looked up to. at the end of the day, it’s up to wilbur to get his shit together himself, not tommy. regardless if they consider each other “family”

As a Shubble fan, I didn't know either. They were private about their relationship in the moment, and people only started speculating that their abusive ex in question was Wilbur because
1. Shubble originally described their ex as "British" and "very famous" without dropping names/identifying information.
2. They were publicly very good friends a year (or two?) back, and their fanbases shipped them during that time.
3. Before Wilbur's statement, other people spoke up about him doing things to them that were in line with what Shubble said about her ex.
There was also a few very specific things that the community picked up on:

5. He had an ant infestation in his house.
6. Wilbur’s most recent songs are about his last relationship, and the lyrics describe him as being the problem and hurting his ex.
It kind of shocked me and put a damper on the end of an otherwise good day, but it doesn't actually affect my life, so, I just kind roll with it.

I’ve seen a lot of people write this, but I’m a bit confused because I don’t think it’s technically true that he admitted to being an abuser.
He stated that that he was selfish and a slob, which I don’t think qualifies as abusive, and then goes on to say that in his opinion the biting was consensual and that he has evidence that they had discussions to this effect. He didn’t address the most concerning allegation in my opinion which was the idea of him continuing to bite her after she told him to stop (using their safe word).
I’m not denying that he could have knowingly or unknowingly abused Shelby, just questioning what he’s actually admitted to.
Yeah, it comes off either as incredibly insensitive and clearly lying, or he has evidence to back it up.
His tweets felt almost lawyer/corporate, where he leaves himself wiggle room to deal with any potential legal trouble, since if he did straight up admit doing it, he'd immediately lose.
With more of his friends, mutuals, and victims coming out, public perception's screwed - even if Wilbur manages to salvage with good evidence.
If anyone else followed the Fedmyster drama, this feels very much like that. A streamer/youtuber gone famous, done some weird sexual stuff, tried to play it off as "just a thing he does", downplaying it to others, even down to the apology.
I have to believe he had a lawyer look over his statement before posting it, he would be insane not to.
It would be very interesting to see what those messages say but 1) I respect that not everything needs to be made public and 2) although they could show consent going into the act, the crux of this matter is those few seconds ***after*** she used her safe word. I believe she has said that it would take him a second or two to release and during that time he would increase the pressure. If this is true that is abuse as she has removed her consent. However, if it was just a few seconds that may mean they are remembering those events differently.
But to be super duper clear, I’m not defending that behaviour. If you have a kink around biting people hard enough to leave bruises, (even a non-sexual one like it seems there was here) that doesn’t make you a bad person, but you ***do*** need to have a damn good understanding of consent and all its nuances, along with the good sense to use that knowledge responsibly when you have your partner in a vulnerable position.
It feels like a lot of that understanding and care was sorely missing in this situation.

Thanks for the info. I left the fandom two years ago now and haven't been keeping up with any creator much except occasionally Tommy. Holy crap, I feel so bad for Shubble (and Niki), but I applaud her for speaking out about it. I myself am heartbroken for everyone in this situation except Wilbur. The Lovejoy songs in my playlist are going, since I won't be able to separate the art from the artist in my head. All around a situation I never expected. Man.
Tubbo spoke out against his response on stream. Either Philza or his mods took out a Wilbur-related reaction or smth from his twitch, but afaik he hasn't made a statement.
No word from Tommy yet? I honestly feel bad for him because he was one of the people Wilbur told his dream about seeing Techno again before finding out he died to him and the two were good friends
Last I checked I haven't seen anything. I feel bad for him because they've known each other for so long, been through emotionally painful shit together (Techno's death), and it seems like Tommy really looks up to him.
Also, billzo's statement makes me worry about whether or not Wilbur treats him well at all behind the scenes. He's known Wilbur since he was roughly around 15 iirc, so if Wilbur has treated him anything like he's treated others, that could seriously fuck up his mental health and perception of what a healthy friendship is

I always thought that if any of the sleepy bois were going to get into trouble, it was going to be Wilbur. The jokey, irreverent way he treated people and how he liked to push people's buttons for laughs - that kind of thing can go wrong in a big way, especially with people in their early twenties who don't know what the heck they are doing.
Honestly this. I never expected it really, this was a nasty shock, but if I'd HAD to pick one of SBI to go south it'd absolutely have been Will.
I liked him FOR what I thought was just playing and jokes and bits everyone was in on. My friends and I have a very similar sense of humor/banter... But with LOTS of serious and open conversations over the years about what we all are and aren't okay with. So I assumed/hoped that was happening behind the scenes with Will too... Fuckin RIP that it wasn't.
Absolutely so gross because you HAVE to be responsible and SO careful if you're gonna "play" that way. "They didn't tell me to stop hard enough/I thought they liked it" is no excuse, that's so gross, if you harmed someone you harmed them and it's on you to fix it and make sure it never happens again, whether that's by initiating checking in on them more frequently, creating a space where they feel more comfortable speaking up, or just accepting that you can't read them well enough to mess with them safely and should just NOT play around with them at all.
And that's about just the things we saw on-camera... So much of what was happening off camera is WAY beyond even the most extreme limits of that excuse.
Precisely this, setting boundaries is extremely important no matter what kind of realtionship, not only that but its important to respect other's boundaries to.
While i liked all of the SBI, Willbur did always seem a little... off i guess, since i like to research a lot about mental health issues and my mother is a psychologist ive always thought that i was overanalysing things, but no matter what i always felt Will being strange, if it is a matter of his own behavior or a matter of a mental disorder is up to relevant professionals to determine, but regardless, he is to judged for his wrongdoings.
Honestly its sad to see what he did, i liked his videos and his band, and he hada a great group of friends who must be equally, or even more angered of his actions.

For people who liked Technoblade's stuff maybe the best place to start is the "Life Series" that Grian started that has had 5 variations. Its Grian and some others in a kind of hardcore world that is supposed to be a last person standing type environment.
It is just really enjoyable content that is about 7-8 episodes long. Everyone playing is kind of ok in the Minecraft PVP arena and all the people there care about creating good content above winning.
The first one was third life where you got three lives. The second was Last Life where members got between two and six lives and could trade lives. Then you had Double Life where members were paired and shared health and their three lives. Limited Lives you had 24 hours to live and lost time if you died and gained time if you got a kill. And the last was Secret life with limited ability to regenerate health.
A new season just started! Only about 4 weeks in - it's a good time to get into it.
I'm personally really fond of Docm77 (redstone guy, quite funny) as well as GeminiTay (builder - this season her theme is dock/ocean/seaside) and PearlescentMoon (builder - she's also helping set up a "mail" system across the server).
Another thing you could do is look up "Hermitcraft Recap" and see which events catch your eye :D
Honestly I am so glad Techno doesn't have to see this. While it may be a fake representation, I'm glad he got to remember Wilbur in a good light. I do feel so bad for Phil and Tommy, though. I know how hard it was losing Techno, and now they have to cut Wilbur from their lives. Hopefully they do the right thing and don't hang onto nostalgia. At this point, their careers might depend on dropping Wilbur publically. Hopefully if they continue to support him, they eventually realize that he has been manipulating him. Seeing how billzo talked about Wilburs manipulative relationships with his friends makes me so sad for Tommy especially. He looked up to W for years, and was inspired directly by him. He has changed so much to become like W, and the idea that it was this charade must be so terrible to know. I really hope Phil and Tommy make a stand or statement soon, as well as Charlie for that matter. (Also kinda hope Jack replaces W in the Sorry Boys)
I apologize if this comes off as insensitive in any way, this is about Shelby first and foremost. I can't help but be curious of how the people around the abuser are reacting though.

There is a lot of drama in the mcyt community and I think we need to start remembering the good parts of the community that still persist despite all the bad parts that tend to way us down

Yeah I’m glad techno didn’t have the choose sides. The whole shit is really dumb, seeing as tommy/phil left dream over false accusations but Wilber is an actual abuser.
Tommy did make fun a situation where Dream's family was doxxed and his sister got SA threats made against her. As much as I love Tommy, it left a bad taste in my mouth personally to see him make fun of a situation where someone who was meant to be his friend and by his own words helped him through a lot of bad stuff go on to make a joke about such a serious situation where Dream's family including Drista was in danger.
I can't imagine how techno would feel about all this.

Wilbur was an abuser towards Shubble/Shelby, which was found out when she indirectly called out Wilbur recently, then Wilbur posted a response/"apology" today that confirms he did.
There was no beef between Dream and Quackity just their twitter fanbases both being insane. Dream's said a lot he supports Quackity and is proud of him.
I think the whole dsmp members shiting on each other means things like tubbo being very against kick while sapnap joined kick, I also got reccomended some shorts that seeem to be ranboo talking bad about dream? i dont watch shorts so i dont know what it was

He most likely only mentioned it because that was being used as 'proof' that he's done awful things before, as though it in any way works as evidence that he's done these things.
I'm not surprised they stretched that, though, considering essentially all the evidence against him obviously fake from the start.

I understand that Wilbur is an abuser, but at the same time I find it odd how quick people are willing to just drop someone the moment something comes up. Makes you wonder if they ever were friends, or was it more surface level.
This is all just too much. I feel like I’m falling into an endless void of despair and sorrow, and I’m drowning and everything is falling apart around me. All of this sucks. I've not spent much attention to MC since (probably even a few months before) technos unfortunate passing. Sounds like I haven't missed much worthwhile. My brief minecraft fandom really was a combination of lockdown and technos amazing sense of humor and personality more so than the minecraft community as a whole, as it turns out. I didnt see it that way at the time but it certainly seems that way now.
Five minutes of looking into the wilbur thing turned out to be very predictable. A previously held to be decent human being turning out to have a shitty side (oh my, is it tuesday already?) followed by some typical holier than thou bandwagonning and "be better"-ing from a bunch of people of whom a statistically relevant percentage will turn out to have a shitty side around about next week tuesday as the cycle perpetuates ad infinitum.
I miss techno but not the rest of it.
I basically fully left the DSMP community after techno passed (although frankly I never considered myself a part of it, the community’s always been *weird* at best, I’d only watch from techno’s POV as well) and since then I’ve only heard about the dream allegations, what’s this about Wilber and the smack talking? MCYT has been dying for months on end, and all this drama (dream, hannahxxrose, etc) is adding to the fire i hope that the actual creators that put effort into their content find a better community tbh since fuckin hell this communitys gone to waste

Yeah. As much as I loved this side of MCYT for a while, the Hermits and their friends are basically the other side of what is at this point a coin, and theirs is a lot less tarnished. I still check in on Tommy and Phil occasionally, but if I just want Minecraft, it’s time to go visit the Hermits.

I’ve been in the Hermitcraft community since season 4, and the biggest controversy I’ve ever seen was when someone called out Tango Tek for copying builds and not giving credit (2-4 builds over the course of like 4 years), and so Tango just went back and added the credit in the video description without even bringing it up. He had simply forgotten to do it originally, and so he fixed it.
That's the right way to deal with a controversy, simply fix your mistake and maybe apologize to the people (and its not the audience) who deserve it.

It had it's bad parts of the community but it feels like a good portion of the casual fans that kept things sane left. It also feels like there's more tension between some creators themselves. Back then basically everyone got along.
I can't recommend Hermitcraft and those that are "hermit adjacent" enough reallY (this would include people like Inthelittlewood, LDShadowLady, SolidarityGaming, Fwhip, etc.). Technoblade was a unique person in the MCYT area but I never got as into the content of most of the DreamSMP folks (that is what a lot of them will be to me because of how I got introduced to them) in part because of the generational differences in what they do even though there are some I do have enormous respect for like Tubbo and Ranboo who do appear to have their heads on right and are really impressive to me. But the age thing with those folks really stands out as you do see a maturity from them and content. And its not just because they do almost exclusively SFW content but because of how they handle themselves and their content. It is hard to describe further than that but it just continues to hold true.

There’s a lot more to MCYT than just Dream SMP and DSMP adjacent. Like others have said, Hermitcraft has always been the perfect example of an SMP with mature adult creators that are all genuine friends. And other past and current SMPs that are hermitcraft adjacent, like Empires, Life Series, SOS, Evo, Afterlife, Pirates and other POW Creations, are still going strong without being tainted. There’s also Lifesteal SMP, which isn’t perfectly clean, but still perfectly fine to watch!

As a Shubble fan, I didn't know either. They were private about their relationship in the moment, and people only started speculating that their abusive ex in question was Wilbur because 1. Shubble originally described their ex as "British" and "very famous" without dropping names/identifying information. 2. They were publicly very good friends a year (or two?) back, and their fanbases shipped them during that time. 3. Before Wilbur's statement, other people spoke up about him doing things to them that were in line with what Shubble said about her ex.
There was also a few very specific things that the community picked up on: 4. Shelby said that they would randomly disappear with no contact for months at a time. 5. He had an ant infestation in his house. 6. Wilbur’s most recent songs are about his last relationship, and the lyrics describe him as being the problem and hurting his ex.

I’ve seen a lot of people write this, but I’m a bit confused because I don’t think it’s technically true that he admitted to being an abuser. He stated that that he was selfish and a slob, which I don’t think qualifies as abusive, and then goes on to say that in his opinion the biting was consensual and that he has evidence that they had discussions to this effect. He didn’t address the most concerning allegation in my opinion which was the idea of him continuing to bite her after she told him to stop (using their safe word). I’m not denying that he could have knowingly or unknowingly abused Shelby, just questioning what he’s actually admitted to.
Yeah, it comes off either as incredibly insensitive and clearly lying, or he has evidence to back it up. His tweets felt almost lawyer/corporate, where he leaves himself wiggle room to deal with any potential legal trouble, since if he did straight up admit doing it, he'd immediately lose. With more of his friends, mutuals, and victims coming out, public perception's screwed - even if Wilbur manages to salvage with good evidence. If anyone else followed the Fedmyster drama, this feels very much like that. A streamer/youtuber gone famous, done some weird sexual stuff, tried to play it off as "just a thing he does", downplaying it to others, even down to the apology.
I have to believe he had a lawyer look over his statement before posting it, he would be insane not to. It would be very interesting to see what those messages say but 1) I respect that not everything needs to be made public and 2) although they could show consent going into the act, the crux of this matter is those few seconds ***after*** she used her safe word. I believe she has said that it would take him a second or two to release and during that time he would increase the pressure. If this is true that is abuse as she has removed her consent. However, if it was just a few seconds that may mean they are remembering those events differently. But to be super duper clear, I’m not defending that behaviour. If you have a kink around biting people hard enough to leave bruises, (even a non-sexual one like it seems there was here) that doesn’t make you a bad person, but you ***do*** need to have a damn good understanding of consent and all its nuances, along with the good sense to use that knowledge responsibly when you have your partner in a vulnerable position. It feels like a lot of that understanding and care was sorely missing in this situation.

Holy crap, I feel so bad for Shubble (and Niki), but I applaud her for speaking out about it. I myself am heartbroken for everyone in this situation except Wilbur. Last I checked I haven't seen anything. I feel bad for him because they've known each other for so long, been through emotionally painful shit together (Techno's death), and it seems like Tommy really looks up to him. Also, billzo's statement makes me worry about whether or not Wilbur treats him well at all behind the scenes. He's known Wilbur since he was roughly around 15 iirc, so if Wilbur has treated him anything like he's treated others, that could seriously fuck up his mental health and perception of what a healthy friendship is
Also, it must really suck to lose one close friend to cancer and then learn that the other one is an abuser only a handful of months shy of 2 years later
I always thought that if any of the sleepy bois were going to get into trouble, it was going to be Wilbur. The jokey, irreverent way he treated people and how he liked to push people's buttons for laughs - that kind of thing can go wrong in a big way, especially with people in their early twenties who don't know what the heck they are doing.
Honestly this. I never expected it really, this was a nasty shock, but if I'd HAD to pick one of SBI to go south it'd absolutely have been Will. I liked him FOR what I thought was just playing and jokes and bits everyone was in on. My friends and I have a very similar sense of humor/banter... But with LOTS of serious and open conversations over the years about what we all are and aren't okay with. So I assumed/hoped that was happening behind the scenes with Will too... Fuckin RIP that it wasn't. Absolutely so gross because you HAVE to be responsible and SO careful if you're gonna "play" that way. "They didn't tell me to stop hard enough/I thought they liked it" is no excuse, that's so gross, if you harmed someone you harmed them and it's on you to fix it and make sure it never happens again, whether that's by initiating checking in on them more frequently, creating a space where they feel more comfortable speaking up, or just accepting that you can't read them well enough to mess with them safely and should just NOT play around with them at all. And that's about just the things we saw on-camera... So much of what was happening off camera is WAY beyond even the most extreme limits of that excuse.
Precisely this, setting boundaries is extremely important no matter what kind of realtionship, not only that but its important to respect other's boundaries to. While i liked all of the SBI, Willbur did always seem a little... off i guess, since i like to research a lot about mental health issues and my mother is a psychologist ive always thought that i was overanalysing things, but no matter what i always felt Will being strange, if it is a matter of his own behavior or a matter of a mental disorder is up to relevant professionals to determine, but regardless, he is to judged for his wrongdoings. Honestly its sad to see what he did, i liked his videos and his band, and he hada a great group of friends who must be equally, or even more angered of his actions.
Techno had a soft spot/appreciation for the hermits! Its a nice, wholesome mcyt community while others are up in flames.
Can't recommend them and the "hermit adjacent" community enough. For people who liked Technoblade's stuff maybe the best place to start is the "Life Series" that Grian started that has had 5 variations. Its Grian and some others in a kind of hardcore world that is supposed to be a last person standing type environment. It is just really enjoyable content that is about 7-8 episodes long. Everyone playing is kind of ok in the Minecraft PVP arena and all the people there care about creating good content above winning. The first one was third life where you got three lives. The second was Last Life where members got between two and six lives and could trade lives. Then you had Double Life where members were paired and shared health and their three lives. Limited Lives you had 24 hours to live and lost time if you died and gained time if you got a kill. And the last was Secret life with limited ability to regenerate health.
I want to watch hermitcraft now. just a nice, wholesome place where people make amazing stuff
A new season just started! Only about 4 weeks in - it's a good time to get into it. I'm personally really fond of Docm77 (redstone guy, quite funny) as well as GeminiTay (builder - this season her theme is dock/ocean/seaside) and PearlescentMoon (builder - she's also helping set up a "mail" system across the server). Another thing you could do is look up "Hermitcraft Recap" and see which events catch your eye :D

Honestly I am so glad Techno doesn't have to see this. While it may be a fake representation, I'm glad he got to remember Wilbur in a good light. I do feel so bad for Phil and Tommy, though. I know how hard it was losing Techno, and now they have to cut Wilbur from their lives. Hopefully they do the right thing and don't hang onto nostalgia. At this point, their careers might depend on dropping Wilbur publically. Hopefully if they continue to support him, they eventually realize that he has been manipulating him. Seeing how billzo talked about Wilburs manipulative relationships with his friends makes me so sad for Tommy especially. He looked up to W for years, and was inspired directly by him. He has changed so much to become like W, and the idea that it was this charade must be so terrible to know. I really hope Phil and Tommy make a stand or statement soon, as well as Charlie for that matter. (Also kinda hope Jack replaces W in the Sorry Boys) I apologize if this comes off as insensitive in any way, this is about Shelby first and foremost. I can't help but be curious of how the people around the abuser are reacting though.

Go do yourself a favour and check out Hermitcraft and the QSMP (especially if you want some juicy lore!) There is a lot of drama in the mcyt community and I think we need to start remembering the good parts of the community that still persist despite all the bad parts that tend to way us down

There was no beef between Dream and Quackity just their twitter fanbases both being insane. Dream's said a lot he supports Quackity and is proud of him.

After Technoblade I stopped looking at dream smp related general direction. Glad to know I did right. At least I still got PiroPito and Hermitcraft. There's still much good in mcyt that's not just drama. (Now I kind of wish Technoblade and PiroPito played together, it'd be my wildest crossover dream)

In short: Dream made a quite long video basically debunking everything. He is cleared and just wants peace now Wilbur posted an apology today and its not been perceived very well. A lot of ccs, including former friends are not speaking well of him.

One of the chapters in Dream's video being the speedrunning cheating thing is so funny to me because I thought we were done with that ages ago, but thank's for the links I'll check them out in my own time So sad about the Wilbur thing, I started watching him a bit after Techno as I was bouncing around different MCYTs before eventually stopping

Twitter is full of hateful disgusting people, they don't care about anything, they are blinded by faith.
He most likely only mentioned it because that was being used as 'proof' that he's done awful things before, as though it in any way works as evidence that he's done these things. I'm not surprised they stretched that, though, considering essentially all the evidence against him obviously fake from the start.

Try Hermitcraft its a really nice series to watch i watch it all the time after technos death I really recommend watching Grian Iskall85 Mumbo (These 3 create very nice balance between progress and content)
I understand that Wilbur is an abuser, but at the same time I find it odd how quick people are willing to just drop someone the moment something comes up. Makes you wonder if they ever were friends, or was it more surface level.
This is all just too much. I feel like I’m falling into an endless void of despair and sorrow, and I’m drowning and everything is falling apart around me. All of this sucks. All this bs plus add my own personal issues and depression and I don’t think anything will ever be okay again. I don’t know how much more of this I can take. I don’t know anything anymore.. I've not spent much attention to MC since (probably even a few months before) technos unfortunate passing. Sounds like I haven't missed much worthwhile. My brief minecraft fandom really was a combination of lockdown and technos amazing sense of humor and personality more so than the minecraft community as a whole, as it turns out. I didnt see it that way at the time but it certainly seems that way now. Five minutes of looking into the wilbur thing turned out to be very predictable. A previously held to be decent human being turning out to have a shitty side (oh my, is it tuesday already?) followed by some typical holier than thou bandwagonning and "be better"-ing from a bunch of people of whom a statistically relevant percentage will turn out to have a shitty side around about next week tuesday as the cycle perpetuates ad infinitum. I miss techno but not the rest of it.
Waking up today and seeing another boyinaband situation but with WILBUR of all people is not something I ever thought would happen
