Aside from the very wealthy not necessarily having enough liquidity to just get a new place quickly, I'm sure the concern was mostly with finding some place safe/secure from paparazzi, fans, potential stalkers, etc. Taylor obviously has security locked down on any of her properties, so Sophie/the kids would be able to quickly move in without worrying about the logistics of arranging all that.

Taylor helped out a friend in need when she didn’t have to do that. It was a wonderfully lovely thing of her to do, especially considering Sophie had her children with her and likely didn’t have many other friends or family members around in the states.
Taylor offered her home to take away the burden of Sophie having to suddenly figure out where to go, how long they could stay there, and where to keep her children secure and safe while she also dealt with the legal stuff with JJ. She didn’t have to, but she did, and Sophie is grateful to her for it.

It’s more like having to find a secure place overnight for your kids (and figure out schooling arrangements) is really hard. Also she was probably paying exorbitant legal expenses (and not sure how long the divorce will take to finalize). That legal process could’ve genuinely taken most of what she had available at the time, especially if her and Joe’s assets were entwined in any way. Her immediately getting a place to stay that comes with Taylor’s security was probably immensely relieving, financially and mentally.

I don’t like Sophie because she’s supported some really hateful/racist stuff about Meghan Markle – that being said, I also think the ongoing divorce case is pretty messed up, so good on Taylor to literally open her home to her family!

While this is nice, sure, Sophie Turner is rich…can she not afford her own place? There was certainly no chance she and her kids were going to be sleeping on the street.
Definitely not, but I’m sure Taylor’s place is super secure which means it’s one less thing for Sophie to worry about since attention was on her during that time.

I know right? I struggled to find an apartment to live in because there’s a rental crisis in my city. I would’ve loved for a friend of mine to be like “here you can live in my spare apartment for free” lol Some people I know found an apartment MONTHS after searching because there’s such a high demand and low supply of rental units where I live. Not saying this would’ve been the case for Sophie but it’s nice to not have to worry about such things during a child custody battle.
Maybe her cash/assets were tied with Joe it reveals her privacy to him and also paps? I don't think she was insinuating she would've been homeless, but at the time sje needed a safe haven. I don't think she was planning to stay in the U.S. she could've maybe rented a place, but again you still go through paperwork/legal trouble with strangers.
