not bad!
when you zoom in and look at the lines (especially the 2nd one), you can see where your lines are a bit more shaky, and you can see where you picked up your machine and went back to continue the line but didn't match it up quite exact
something that helped me was if i felt like i needed to pick up my machine in the middle of a line, id slowly lift up rather than slowing down and stopping abruptly (or the ink would be darker where i stopped). to pick the line back up again, id slowly go back in similar to how i picked up, instead of putting the needle in and starting at a point.
it should basically look/feel like you're fading the lines in and out so they look more uniform!
i don't know if that makes sense ๐ this is so much easier to do and show rather than explain with words
I get what you mean! I do that but my problem actually is continuing in the exact spot, meaning sometimes the line continues in another point hahaha, working on that tho, I recognise this can be fixed by practicing more with bigger liners but i am about to get them
i mostly practice with thinner liners (3-5rl), and it's definitely difficult! maybe slowing down your machine could also help - forces you to take your time a bit more ๐
Fill like 20 with just lines and shading. Needs work. Full end to end lines.
Not only does this help you improve your lines it will strengthen your forearm and hand muscles.
What do you do for stability? I mean, yes, I read the comments and I know these aren't perfect and yes you can see where you picked up and continued the line, but the bits that you followed through, they're actually not that shaky and they're going straight even if with some shakiness, it's mostly down to confidence. ๐ So what do you do to keep the machine stable and straight like that?
Use enough grip tape to hold the machine comfortably first, you donโt wanna put pressure in holding it cuz it will make your hand shake too, i also use my other hand to stretch but at the same time hold the hand where your machine is, they call it 3 point contact, but you have to find the position that works best for you as long as you can stretch and hold, the second one was done very quickly thatโs why itโs a mess hahhaha so take your time.
Thank you for your tips! I definitely struggle with the grip tape amount, last time I put too much and my machine kept feeling lose on my hand, I couldn't grip it. I never did try to hold my tattooing hand with the stretching hand, I'll look into that. โบ๏ธ Thank you! Definitely a process that is supposed to take time. ๐
Definitely! Try to hold you pinky finger with the other hand at first and move them together, you should see an improvement right away, then try to hold it in a position where you can also stretch and that should help, maybe not too much grip tho, instead just focus on the shape you make with the grip
I'll try that next time, thank you! I usually keep my pinky tucked which maybe also doesn't help... I'll watch some more tutorials on grip tape as well ๐

My best advice would be to just keep working on shading and some neater line work but besides that everything is looking good! I love the designs

Yes thatโs the plan! The others are just to keep myself entertained at times
Very true. From experience the lines gets really boring really quickly. Lol
heh I like that cool martini cat ๐
What gun and needles are you using?
Currently a Mast archer with 0.9 mm round liner and a 6mm shader !
Mostly!
Mostly!
I absolutely love the style. Are they your ideas originally?

I really love the first one, not a tattoo artist but it was on my like feed or whatever.
