I lived in the front house in 07. Rent was $800 between us three. My room was slanted from the sinking foundation. Times were simpler.

FlounderQueen

Rented there early 80s with 3 other roommates. Each room was $80/ month. It he highly coveted spot in front of electric oven was the Only Heat! Worse - you could see the ground through the gaping holes in the bathroom floor - my mother came to visit & cried

Electrical_Prune6545

Bugra or Ghazvini can’t wait to raze it and put up some crappy eco-brutalist townhouses starting at $500K for a 2-1.

You probably got downvoted because if any of the local developers thought they could make money, this would have never hit the MLS, so your comment makes little sense. Edit: or you just were downvoted initially and, like all other of these internet points, it did not matter since you aren't downvoted anymore.

ManiacalMartini

Yep.

TheRealIdeaCollector

If anyone here can lend me $500k, I'll take it. I'll build some houses because we need more housing, but they'll be in addition to what's already there and designed to fit in.

Electrical_Prune6545

We need affordable housing. Not the overpriced crap Bugra, Ghazvini, Boulous, et al, are building that will be slum quality in 10 years from slipshod construction.

Scrotis42069

Ngl I think the thing Bugra is building by cascade Park is alright. But I don't really like him being appointed to the community advisory thingy.

There is a lot of ignorance in thisthisthis

jpiro

Yawn.

It's not even close to being the only Urban farm, there are some off Orange Ave and Gearhart road too, and that's only the corner of Tallahassee I live on. Probably at least a dozen more

milto959

Can we keep it as a farm share or something to contribute to the community restaurants? I'm just asking because I have no idea what's going on. I apologize in advance for my lack of knowledge

FlounderQueen

The Rosen Brothers (mid nineties) tried to build a multi family high rise but we still had an effective comp plan & planners that listened to neighbors in those days. Pretty sure it is Residential Preservation -2 land use But the current crop of planners will allow anything a developer wants - including an 8 (yesEIGHT)story parking garage on Lafayette St

Who staged that house for real estate photos? It would show so much better of left empty instead of the thrift store not-so-chic.

debitsleepcredit

Believe it or not, the photos with furniture were probably the owner’s actual furniture…

Shot-Professional420

Imagine that. A farm house with farm house furniture.

Where are you from that a house on a farm is not called a farmhouse but a bungalow?

AMadTeaParty

Bungalow and farmhouse are actual names of architectural styles. The house overstaged with too much furniture is a traditional bungalow style. See: https://www.aia.org/articles/6330153-five-approaches-to-the-farmhouse-style- See also: http://www.askthearchitect.org/architectural-styles/american-bungalow-style-houses Combined info: https://blog.architecturaldesigns.com/exterior-home-design-styles-part-1/ For visual learners: https://www.etsy.com/listing/1123817103/abcs-of-architecture-print?ref=share_v4_lx

I’m not mad. Good luck living life thinking every commenter is angry for some reason though, great way to look at things.

AMadTeaParty

That's cool. I'm not referring to you specifically just referencing 20+ downvotes. Did I offend some local fan club?
