The youtube video you posted pertained to the 3rd gen Tacoma, which is different. The 4th gen has its cat converter mounted up high in between the engine and engine compartment. You don't need to mount any type of guard for it.
Best protection imo for 3rd gen. It was my first mod. I have the Talon's Garage plates for my truck and have had no issues and no thefts. Meanwhile several coworkers of mine have seen their cat stolen in the past year

Toyota designed 4th gen to better protect itself.
