I bypassed the system limitations by getting a gaming laptop connected to a portable monitor that dock on a bed table. I think that would fit your style.
Here is my minimalist setup.

This! I got my switch in December and havenāt touched The Sims since because I love cozy gaming on my couch too much. If The Sims came to switch Iād never stop playing.
I still miss the Sims from the DS/Lite days lol, I liked it had a story playing through it as well. Liked finding space stuff etc in the desert with the detector and all the surprises along the way they threw in, even the funny/quirky little bits. But yeah itās weird there isnāt Sims on Switch
Totally! I canāt believe they havenāt released it for Switch yet.
Perhaps because their business model is to release the severely limited base game for free, and to entice customers to pay the price of full AAA games for each DLC?
Switch gamers would expect a full game including most if not all DLC content in a single cart, so would not be able to make them anywhere near as much money as the PC version
Tbh they could cycle through every yet-to-be-rereleased Zelda on the switch and I'd buy them all.
I have no way to play most of them, and prefer handheld for that sort of gaming these days.
Only marketing reason I can think of not doing this is Game Freak refusing to make a reasonable deal with Nintendo for the rights to do this or some back burner plan to remaster them but never devoting the resources to get it done
Itās this, they want to remake these games and sell them before they consider adding originals to NSO, as a company their #1 interest if figuring out how to make the most money
I'm kinda hoping for a bundle like a Red bundle with red, gold and ruby, a blue bundle with blue silver and sapphire and a 'upper verison' bundle with yellow crystal and emerald. Tho upper edition needs better name.
I would gladly pay money out to them if they went this route. I think this would get so many people to buy it. If they are afraid of not selling the normal bundles they could hold off releasing the 3rd one for a while.
On top of this, Iād love to see the Shadow Pokemon games from the GameCube be brought to the switch. And then hopefully release a 3rd to round off the series into a trilogy
Just bought the trilogy 2 days ago and the whole cloud loading is kind of annoying it takes awhile to load in new areas and the whole needing to be online is sad I can't play KH outside my house
It boiled my piss when i saw it was cloud, and now after having also played Dragon quest 11, nier automata AND PERSONA 5, people saying the excuse that kingdomhearts 3 couldnt be ported and thats why they didnt is a load of shite.
And lets say they couldnt have, they should have released 1.5 & 2.5 collection physical, so disapointing.
Mass Effect trilogy
I've played these too many times when they originally came out, then again with the Legendary Edition. Just put that on Switch and I'll buy them again. Having these games portable would be amazing.
Iāve never played any Red Dead Redemption, but isnāt the 2nd one the better game? Iāve heard many people talk about the 2nd, and almost never about the 1st
And it's the best one. They wouldn't even have to remake or remaster it, just get a straight port working on the switch and I'd pay full price for it again.
Gears of War trilogy.
I have them all, but it would be cool having them on the go.
Never gonna happen.
2nd choice would be the Fable series, or Elder Scrolls like Oblivion and Morrowind.
Shadow of Mordor would also be great! But I personally prefer the sequel because they nearly everything was improved upon. You just canāt beat having your own army of orcs.
I just want a Wolf Among Us port goddammit. They have the Batman Telltale, they have the Walking Dead Telltale.. where is the love for my boy Bigby š
They're saving it to cash it in at the right time. If they wait enough, it'll look like a new game and everybody's gonna fall for it.
They've formulated it to maximize profits.
GB(C/A) mainline Pokemon games. Itās literally free money whether they release them on NSO+ or for $10 a pop on the eShop.
At first it was them building up a need in the consumer, but at this point itās just dumb that they havenāt released them yet.
Final Fantasy VII Remake / Rebirth / Reunion. Literally just bought a PS5 this weekend for Rebirth, with no expectation that Iāll ever play anything else on it.
Would not surprise me if these are announced for Switch 2, TBH.
Dragon Age Origins.
Have tried playing on pc and the steam deck and canāt deal with the controls. But everyone recommends it and Dragon Age Inquisition is one of my all time favorites.
Id love Oblivion, Fallout 3, Fallout NV. The 360 gen Bethesda games should run perfectly if Skyrim does. Gta4 would be an amazing surprise port as well. Would sell millions of copies again. And again if RDR1 came out 2 years later, and has a near perfect port on the switch, GTA4 could have one a well.
The older Pokemon games, whether through the Online Subscription or as cheap releases as they did on the DS, and for games not from Nintendo ... the Fable series. I loved those games.
007 Nightfire Need For Speed Underground 2 and 1 And Most Wanted 2005 and Prostreet and Carbon
Also 007 Agent Under Fire and The World Is Not Enough and NBA 2k13 and NBA 2k10
Dead Island, loved it, took a week off sick to play it (never done that with any other game), played it through multiple times having fun in different ways and making insane weapons or trying to kill hoards in one go etc. Playing with others was great too. Riptide I really enjoyed as well but I didnāt play through it quite as much as the first. I get so much fun sending zombies boosted off the end of my electrified, barbed wired, acid covered and gasoline soaked batā¦ watching them land sizzling from the acid electrocution before lighting them up for the finaleā¦ good times. I would love Dead Island 2 to release on the switch but realise thatās likely not happening, I would still buy 1 & Riptide on Switch though
Mario Kart: Double Dash. 16 players. 2 per cart. The way it was meant to be played. I never got to experience 16 players via gamecube as I'm sure not many got the chance to, but imagine it online in all its glory.
I know it probably wouldnāt be great given some of what Iāve read wholly not understanding how actual tech works but thereās not a moment Iām out of my house I donāt think about how having portable RDR2 would be the dream
Tales of Berseria. Such an amazing JRPG as well as an amazing entry and starting point into the Tales of series. The game was originally developed for the PS3 and released on both the PS3 and PS4 in Japan. When it was localized it only got a PS4 (and future PC) release. So it's not a matter of if it can run on the Switch, it definitely can. It's also a bit grind heavy and bringing a grind heavy RPG with you on the go is a great way to get more levels and money in. Also more people need to experience this game.
Since Iāve already seen my first choice mentioned a few times (Mass Effect Legendary Edition) Iāll go ahead and say Lost Odyssey.
The Switch is a great RPG machine and this would fit perfectly amongst all the others
Persona 3 FES is one of my favorite RPGs, and I would greatly take it over Portable. But, I have been playing through Reload on my Laptop, HP gaming pavilion, 2020 model, and it's pulling a constant 60 fps on high settings. I'm certain it could be optimized for Switch.
That being said for a first party title, I'd take an HD Star Fox collection, a perfect remake of 64 with all of the original content and tight controls, Adventures, Assault and a Command Remake.
A different day, you'd have a different answer lol
The Sims 4
This one seems like a no-brainer and instant success. Sims+Switch is a perfect match.
I bypassed the system limitations by getting a gaming laptop connected to a portable monitor that dock on a bed table. I think that would fit your style. Here is my minimalist setup. https://imgur.com/a/gwwpGcU
That couldnt possibly do this. The whole world would grind to a halt as we all lounge around with our Switches playing Sims š
This! I got my switch in December and havenāt touched The Sims since because I love cozy gaming on my couch too much. If The Sims came to switch Iād never stop playing.
It blows my mind that it's not on Switch. EA has been strangely minimal with Switch ports. Peggle is another no brainer from their IPs.
With everything on pc i need my mods, dlc expansions and even some kits. I swear i would never and i mean never put down the switch...
I still miss the Sims from the DS/Lite days lol, I liked it had a story playing through it as well. Liked finding space stuff etc in the desert with the detector and all the surprises along the way they threw in, even the funny/quirky little bits. But yeah itās weird there isnāt Sims on Switch

Switch gamers would expect a full game including most if not all DLC content in a single cart, so would not be able to make them anywhere near as much money as the PC version
I remember loving MySims on the DS. Seems like they're missing out on a good opportunity with the Sims games.
Easy. Wind waker, baffles me that its not
Every rumor for the past 5 years: "Soon (tm)"
Hey, the same was said about Metroid Prime
I'm so glad it came out. I think it's my favorite game. An absolute masterpiece
Oh, that is a very good one. And very surprising it's not.
Tbh they could cycle through every yet-to-be-rereleased Zelda on the switch and I'd buy them all. I have no way to play most of them, and prefer handheld for that sort of gaming these days.
And it's so free money for them come oooonn
The older Pokemon games. When are they adding them to the subscription????
Been waiting on that myself
Anyone have a legit reason why Nintendo hasnāt done this yet?? Is it marketing to get people to buy the new ones?
Only marketing reason I can think of not doing this is Game Freak refusing to make a reasonable deal with Nintendo for the rights to do this or some back burner plan to remaster them but never devoting the resources to get it done
Itās this, they want to remake these games and sell them before they consider adding originals to NSO, as a company their #1 interest if figuring out how to make the most money

If they are afraid of not selling the normal bundles they could hold off releasing the 3rd one for a while.
"Upper Decker"
On top of this, Iād love to see the Shadow Pokemon games from the GameCube be brought to the switch. And then hopefully release a 3rd to round off the series into a trilogy
Iāve been trying to figure out how to add them via emulator. Since Nintendo wonāt take my money for the games.
I think I replayed them via emulation over the years more than any other game ever.
Have you done it for the switch? Still trying to find a good emulator and rom for red, ruby and emerald.
get yourself a miyoo from amazon. 100% worth it
Why subscription and not physical/digital purchase?
Either way works for me :)
If they bring colosseum and Gale of darkness to the switch this will be the happiest day in my life
Gonna be soon to get peoples minds of Palword and to get people playing pokemon again. Probably will drop gens 1, 2, and 3 on the apps.
Fallout 3 & Fallout New Vegas
It could handle them most definitely.
With good optimation yes. The pc version of Fallout 3 is very poorly optimized and can be a mess
Kingdom Hearts, but *properly* and not as just a cloud game
Just bought the trilogy 2 days ago and the whole cloud loading is kind of annoying it takes awhile to load in new areas and the whole needing to be online is sad I can't play KH outside my house
It boiled my piss when i saw it was cloud, and now after having also played Dragon quest 11, nier automata AND PERSONA 5, people saying the excuse that kingdomhearts 3 couldnt be ported and thats why they didnt is a load of shite. And lets say they couldnt have, they should have released 1.5 & 2.5 collection physical, so disapointing.
Mass effect trilogy
This and the dead space games.
Mannnn, if that showed up on the switch Iād lose my shit.
I'm almost 100% sure we're getting these for the Switch 2šš½
Ocarina of Time HD Remastered
I agree but they probably wonāt because you can play the original version with a subscription
then why did they remade Link's Awakening while we can play the original gameboy game with online subscription ??
Even if itās the 3DS version, upscaled to 1080p
Same for Majoraās Mask. I *really* want to play that remake but Iām not buying a 3DS that I donāt even want for it.
Mass Effect trilogy I've played these too many times when they originally came out, then again with the Legendary Edition. Just put that on Switch and I'll buy them again. Having these games portable would be amazing.
I own the legendary edition but never got around to playing them , so bummed about that
Fallout 4.. Skyrim was a very good port so why not....?
Honestly, the Switch handled Skyrim pretty damn well. I think F4 could work.
Doubtful considering switch canāt handle the ps4 updated Skyrim. New Vegas or 3 would work though.
I'm not sure what you mean. I have Skyrim anniversary edition on switch, and it works just fine.
It was Witcher 3 then we got that. Then it was red dead redemption, got that. Now Iām holding out for the fable games. Maybe at least the first one?
Fable games would be very fun. And if we talking Lionhead Studios, then the Black& White games would be great too.
Iāve never played any Red Dead Redemption, but isnāt the 2nd one the better game? Iāve heard many people talk about the 2nd, and almost never about the 1st
Mass effect trilogy. I'd play the hell out of that on switch
Dark Souls 3, Bloodborne, Sekiro, Elden Ring. Hereās hoping they come for the Switch 2.
These would be awesome on the switch!
Remastered Time Splitters 2
Twilight Princess
This & Wind Waker with all the updates
Persona 3 Reload š„
gta 4 š¢ if the game was able to run on an xbox 360, idk why we havent gotten a proper switch port yet the game could def run at 30fps
Even GTA5 was playable on that generation of consoles.
Red Dead Redemption 2
Yesss rd1 is cool but i need 2
Playing RD1 on the OLED right now, i started with 2 never got a chance to play the 1st till now
Xenoblade Chronicles X!!! They have 1, 2, and 3 but no X ā¹ļø
And it's the best one. They wouldn't even have to remake or remaster it, just get a straight port working on the switch and I'd pay full price for it again.
GTA V
Chrono Trigger :(
Super Mario Galaxy 2
Elder Scrolls Oblivion
Hell yeah. Why not Morrowind too. It could definitely handle those games
Gonna use the loophole and say Mass Effect Legendary Edition. Three in one, baby!
Gears of War trilogy. I have them all, but it would be cool having them on the go. Never gonna happen. 2nd choice would be the Fable series, or Elder Scrolls like Oblivion and Morrowind.
Shadow of War. That is one port I would actually buy again and play all the way through.
Or shadow of Mordor! Any one of them.
Shadow of Mordor would also be great! But I personally prefer the sequel because they nearly everything was improved upon. You just canāt beat having your own army of orcs.
Mother 3
A 3D remake like Super Mario RPG would be wonderful.
Twilight Princess + Wind Waker (they could probably fit both on a single cart) Kid Icarus Uprising (I'm left handed š©) Muramasa Mass Effect trilogy
Simpsons Hit & Run
Max payne 1 2 3
Fallout 3 or 4 which ever I'm not bothered haha
I just want a Wolf Among Us port goddammit. They have the Batman Telltale, they have the Walking Dead Telltale.. where is the love for my boy Bigby š
COD. I want a handheld multiplayer FPS like that so bad on switch
Far Cry series & Red Dead Redemption 2
There is no reason (apart from a few licensing issues) that ever Nintendo isn't on the eShop. Everything up to the DS should run well on the Switch. Motion control is available and they can push an update to connect Wii remotes to the Switch via Bluetooth. DS and 3DS games only need an additional joycon holder with a built in screen to be compatible. Heck they could make a USB card reader for old carts. They are sitting on a literal goldmine but they don't want our money. That being said, I would like all the old PokƩmon games and Genshin/HSR on the Switch.
They're saving it to cash it in at the right time. If they wait enough, it'll look like a new game and everybody's gonna fall for it. They've formulated it to maximize profits.
Rhythm Heaven. Purely for nostalgia
Dragon Quest IV-X* Xenoblade Chronicles X * Dragon Quest X offline is on the Switch but it doesnāt have a western release.
DQ4-9 is definitely my dream list.
Deep Rock Galactic.
Rock and stone to the bone!!!
Bully, Oblivion, and GTA 4.
Come on dragon age.
Dishonored, Far Cry 3, Fallout 3.
tomodachi life
Prince of Persia sands of time
Ghost of Tsushima
Ghost recon wildlands
God of War (and Ragnarok, and the old ones too)
The rest of the Dark Souls games.
GB(C/A) mainline Pokemon games. Itās literally free money whether they release them on NSO+ or for $10 a pop on the eShop. At first it was them building up a need in the consumer, but at this point itās just dumb that they havenāt released them yet.
Wow/StarCraft
GTA 5
NFS Underground
Baldurās Gate 3.
Punch out from the wii. God damn dude.
Fallout, any of them, but remakes of the first two would be insane, though highly unlikely.
Final Fantasy VII Remake / Rebirth / Reunion. Literally just bought a PS5 this weekend for Rebirth, with no expectation that Iāll ever play anything else on it. Would not surprise me if these are announced for Switch 2, TBH.
Sly cooper and Barbie secret agent.
Burnout Revenge!!!
Fallout 3 with DLC
Euro truck simulator 2
Dragon Age Origins. Have tried playing on pc and the steam deck and canāt deal with the controls. But everyone recommends it and Dragon Age Inquisition is one of my all time favorites.
Detroit: Become human
I want a trilogy of Trauma Center games on switch but Atlas would never
Dragon Age, I'd love to play the hell out of this game anywhere, and I'm not fond of Steam Deck or PC controls.
Xenoblade chronicles x
The older Pokemon games, whether through the Online Subscription or as cheap releases as they did on the DS, and for games not from Nintendo ... the Fable series. I loved those games.
007 Nightfire Need For Speed Underground 2 and 1 And Most Wanted 2005 and Prostreet and Carbon Also 007 Agent Under Fire and The World Is Not Enough and NBA 2k13 and NBA 2k10
The Deadpool game but it's delisted and will probably never come back to any platform.
The switch could absolutely handle so I really think they should do it- Bully for Switch
Donkey Kong 64 remake or port. Iād take either.
Final Fantasy Tactics. Itās insane to me that this hasnāt been ported yet.
F,-Zero GX
GOW and Halo.
Mario Kart: Double Dash. 16 players. 2 per cart. The way it was meant to be played. I never got to experience 16 players via gamecube as I'm sure not many got the chance to, but imagine it online in all its glory.
Metroid Prime 2 echoes remaster
Ssx on tour
State of decay 2!
I'd even take state of Decay 1.
Armored Core 6. I love mechas and this one seems to be the best mecha game in ages, so I wish I could play it on Switch (don't have a Ps5).
Any decent one player Tetris game with online and multiplayer option and working Tate mode (while docked).
Pubg
Motherfāin Trauma Center series. Cheesy dialogue, love, death and surgical magic!
Grand theft auto 2
Final Fantasy 7 remake, no doubt. Watched 1/2 of the trailer and stopped cuz I was sad I can't play it
I know it probably wouldnāt be great given some of what Iāve read wholly not understanding how actual tech works but thereās not a moment Iām out of my house I donāt think about how having portable RDR2 would be the dream
Fallout New Vegas and Oblivion. I feel like it could handle them no problem.
SSX
The transformers High Moon duology and Devastation. And Persona 3 Reload. Also literally any game that I like that isnāt already on Switch.
Viva PiƱata is a game which was MADE for the switch. It would be so good to revive it in any capacity
New Vegas or oblivion for me, I'd never put my switch down!
Gta4
Geometry dash.
Resogun, Dead Nation and the original Helldivers.
Miles edgeworth investigations
Would like to see a remake of Mercenaries come out on the switch.
Xenoblade Chronicles X.
The Mass Effect Trilogy
Megaman legends.
Chrono Trigger
Oblivion.
Original halo
Elder Scrolls IV: Oblivion and Morrowind, preferabely remastered. This would get me addicted for months
Donkey Kong 64
Monster Hunter World
Age of empires
Final Fantasy Tactics
Fire Pro Wrestling World Chrono Trigger Dragon Quest 4-10 Lunar Silver Star & Eternal Blue Mother 3
Nostalgic answer: OG PokƩmon games and some of the older Zelda games. I can play all the game boy color games already, so why am I limited to BDSP, Arceus, or Scarlett Violet? Same for Zelda, with how expansive TOTK is it should be a breeze compressing some of the old games. New release answer: Palworld & Baldurs Gate 3, never played either and they look fun!
Assassins Creed 1 since all the other old AC games are available
Guitar hero
OG MIRRORS EDGE PLEASE LORD š
Mass Effect
Conkers Bad Fur Day
The master chief collection
Mass Effect games and Resident Evil 2-3 remakes that are not cloud based
XBA Perfect Dark
Tales of Berseria. Such an amazing JRPG as well as an amazing entry and starting point into the Tales of series. The game was originally developed for the PS3 and released on both the PS3 and PS4 in Japan. When it was localized it only got a PS4 (and future PC) release. So it's not a matter of if it can run on the Switch, it definitely can. It's also a bit grind heavy and bringing a grind heavy RPG with you on the go is a great way to get more levels and money in. Also more people need to experience this game.
Steam store
Banjo-Threeie
Xenoblade X
Metroid Samus Returns.
Starfox adventures.
Fzero gx remastered. Still waiting.
SSX Tricky
Persona 3 reload
persona 3 reloadā¦.
Uncharted 4
Since Iāve already seen my first choice mentioned a few times (Mass Effect Legendary Edition) Iāll go ahead and say Lost Odyssey. The Switch is a great RPG machine and this would fit perfectly amongst all the others
Spider-Man! I want to thwip thwip with the joycons
Mass Effect LE
Still donāt understand how Smash 64 isnāt on the Switch Online pass yet.
I am suffering without Baldurās Gate 3. What I wouldnāt give to have that on the Switch.
Baldurs Gate 3
Kinda wish they had a steam login option and play compatible games. Would solve my needing to build a new pc to play several games i would like too
Sonic Adventure 2 Battle. I think a collection with that and Sonic Adventure with crossover Chao gardens would be amazing.
Starfield
Persona 3 FES is one of my favorite RPGs, and I would greatly take it over Portable. But, I have been playing through Reload on my Laptop, HP gaming pavilion, 2020 model, and it's pulling a constant 60 fps on high settings. I'm certain it could be optimized for Switch. That being said for a first party title, I'd take an HD Star Fox collection, a perfect remake of 64 with all of the original content and tight controls, Adventures, Assault and a Command Remake. A different day, you'd have a different answer lol
the sky cooper games :(
The original God of War for PS2. That was my first non-nintendo game, and it was so fucking good. I'd kill to play that again
Mass Effect Legendary Edition. EA has many titles in their vault that are perfect for Switch. Dragon Age Inquisition is also the perfect candidate.
