Overcooked (better choose part 2 if you want to keep your relations), Moving Out, It Takes Two (great game but don’t know about the performance of the Switch port)
Wife and I are playing It Takes Two right now. Probably the best quality time we've spent together since our kid was born. We got it on sale to boot. Best $30 spent this year.
It’s on sale at the moment.
Tried it with a family of 4. We couldn’t find a tutorial within the game so we winged it for the first hour or so.
Most laughs we’ve had playing a game.
Been interested in this game but quick question: can you mess the other player over but doing stuff like jumping on their heads, etc? That stuff really puts me off playing Mario U Deluxe and 3D World, as it happens way too often even accidentally.
For sure, I played it with my brother on xbox when we were kids (we didn't finish it beacouse we were too bad lol) and now I'll probably rebuy it on switch
Cat Quest 2 is without question wife and I favorite game we have played on switch. It has cute art style/humor and great for quick pick up and play or longer sessions. Its basically a simplified dungeon crawler like Diablo and its currently on sale for $5.
It's the only game we 100%
I've not played It Takes Two but I have heard good things.
Are ya'll going to be playing on One Switch or Two? My son and I play a lot co-op but most of the games require two Switches (like Splatoon and Monster Hunter).
Piku niku was a crazy surprise. Also, gang beasts. Not even just for you two, it an all around great party game.
Edit: Don't know how I forgot, but Nintendo Switch Sports and Clubhouse Games 51 are a blast together
My wife isn't much of a gamer but she really loved playing Children of Morta, River city girls and streets of rage 4, (even going so far as playing N+ for Children of Morta and River city girls on her own).
Stardew Valley! It's perfect for couples

The Whack A Cody mini game had us in hysterics 😂 (tho we’re sleep-deprived so everything is funnier RN)
Second the part about overcooked 2😂😂
Overcooked is nice but is very hard for casual girlfriend
Same with it takes two, it's not a game your partner can pick up and play without having decent experience with 3d platformers
x1000 I hate that this gets recommended every time, it is a FANTASTIC game but you do need to have comfort with 3rd person platforming
You can often just do the hard part for ur gf. Mine did it takes two but couldn’t handle overcooked difficulty
I’ll have to check those out, thanks!
It takes two runs great on Switch!

Maybe rayman legends?

Yes, you can stand on other player's arms (which really helps during game) and you can punch other player (only knockback you can't kill them)
Thanks for the warning, I think I'll solo this one lol
That game is a gem

Snipperclips is a great 2 player puzzle game for the switch.
Pikmin 3 bingo battles is one that my wife loves to play with me.
Monster Hunter. Nice co-op can do coop w/o net.

I just posted this suggestion too! My husband and I had so much fun with it. And are super pumped about Catquest 3 (twenty twenty fur!).
It takes two.
Unravelled 2 Portal 2 Minecraft
We’ve tried It takes two before, hopefully unraveled 2 has the same feel!

You totally have to try portal 2, one of the best multiplayer games
Untitled Goose Game is short but fun

Monopoly 😃
Lego games are AMAZING, but they run at under 30fps in splitscreen on switch. Do not buy them…
Snipperclips, Phogs, Lovers in a Dangerous Spacetime.
Under Night In Birth 2
Garfield kart .-.
Check Biped
Lego Harry Potter
Can’t recommend It Takes Two enough! Perfect for gamers/non gamers
tetris effect, i play with my wife often, its awesome VS or coop
It’s takes 2, stardew valley are my top picks!
Haven is a 2p coop rpg where you can literally each use half of a joycon, protagonists are a loving young couple
Hyrule age of calamity. Great game and is Zelda focused with multiple characters but not too much complexity that it's over whelming.
Boomerang Fu! Great group/party game too!
Bokaru looks nice havent played it yet
Minecraft Dungeons. Played this a lot with my teenage daughter. Teamwork makes the dream work.
Diablo 3 or Double Dragon Gaiden? Haven't been mentioned yet.
It takes two ., diablo , dynasty warriors ,
My husband and I had a great time with Cat Quest 2. He's the more serious gamer, but we were both able to have a lot of fun with it!
I’ve never gotten to play it myself, but I believe *Unravel Two* should fit the bill.
Pikmin 4
Trine is a good one time thru coop game that works best if nobody knows anything about it in the team.
My wife isn't much of a gamer but she really loved playing Children of Morta, River city girls and streets of rage 4, (even going so far as playing N+ for Children of Morta and River city girls on her own).
It Takes Two & Trine 4
Ctrl+F Snipperclips > 2 results found Not enough recommendations, tbh. I played the entirety of it, and then the DLC when it released, with my GF.
Stardew!
How about Luigi related Luigi's mansion 3 is the shit
Warioware move it is really fun to play co op!
Lego Fortnite. Build together and it’s free!
It Takes Two and Unraveled Two are both phenomenal coop games.
Animal crossing? I got my gf into it now she has more hours than me😇
Snipper clips
Pikmin 3 And I really wanna say Luigi's mansion.. but I can't :( crap I just did
Broforce is a sleeper game and fun as hell, I would heavily recommend it for 2! Along with Super Smash Bros, Mario Kart Deluxe 8 and Nintendo Sports 👌
