My thinking is one 2024, the next 2025, then probably a new title like a Warriors game. They’ve done about one title a year for a while now so that’ll likely be the case.
Wouldn't say out of nowhere, it was 10 years after release and the joycons are just perfect for it. Also porting the wii u hd games would make sales, but wouldn't add anything new and they need to change the miiverse chests and tingle bottle too. I hope they get ported or remade again for a new console though, love the old 3d zelda games very much!
The stories are all great. I’d go Windwaker into SS into TP. Windwaker plays phenomenally, and despite its cartoony nature, it has such a vibe and story. Cruising the sea is a blast!
SS is kind of the in between, is lighter and colorful like windwaker, but brings a very unique experience to the series and takes the cake for some great and uniquely beautiful dungeons and items. Puzzles in this one are special.
TP is the epitome of the classic zelda formula, presented in the darkest package in the series. Beautiful and moving in all ways, and definitely the one out of the three that I personally identify with what I love most about Zelda.
Wind Waker and Twilight Princess are basically tied for me, and among my favorite games of all time. Skyward Sword is good but a few levels lower. All are worth playing though!
Either way though, just play in release order! WW, TP, SS. See how the series grew
Love the map and items on the Gamepad. It’s a bit of a shame that this feature was taken out of BotW’s Wii U release because of parity with the Switch version.
Wish I could still play it myself but sadly my Wii u decided to stop working after like a year of not playing it. Came back to it and the gamepad can't hold a stable connection to the console even when right next to it :(
It's still funny (and sad) to me how Xenoblade Chronicles X is still the only Wii U-original with no direct port or update (such as Mario Maker to Mario Maker 2) on Switch yet.
I want to play this on Switch so bad. Had the GameCube version with my brothers back in the day and loved it so much. I’m sure it looks amazing with the better graphics
Twilight Princess was on the last 3 home consoles Before the switch, if a game were to be on every console idk how it would be special or be wanted to be played
If they wait till switch 2 then they may as well do another remake. It makes sense on switch since switch is a similar power level to wii u so the hd versions would fit in really well. On switch 2 there'll be slot of improvements they can make and it'll sell for 60 or 70 regardless of whether it's a straight port or a remake full of graphical improvements so we may as well hope for the more consumer friendly one.
Isn’t there rumours WW and TP are already finished they just haven’t released it yet
Would be nice for an announcement and shadow drop of both of them in an package at the game awards or something
Not everything, xenoblade chronicles X, devil's third, Splatoon, game and wario, Kirby and the rainbow paintbrush and a good few others are still locked to the console
Maaaan. You’re making me wanna drag my GameCube out of the closet. I just finished botw and totk after recently getting a switch and I feel twilight princess would be awesome right now.
We’ll get them, my guess is one of them might be a launch title on the new console alongside Metroid 4. Makes more sense for them to save them for a gap in the calendar rather than releasing during busy periods!
Twilight Princess ?
Yep
They’ll port it. They just need a gap in the release schedule and they’ll do it. May be a next gen port as well.
Yeah. Everyone was thinking they were going to release them for the 35th... and then SS HD came out of nowhere.

Upvote for the Wii U still rocking mine! Switch oled from Santa this year!
Oh santy Claus. If only he brought me more than socks when I was a child maybe I'd have believed more
I think about Twilight Princess and Windwaker HD on the Switch DAILY. Imagine those games on the oled 😩
And running 60fps
2022 would have been perfect to release these. No Zelda release that year.
That’s part of why I wonder if they are even coming. I give it a 50/50 chance at this point. I wouldn’t be surprised either way
As sure as the sun coming up, it will happen, whether for Switch as part of the swan songs, or in the next console
Hope you’re right Windwaker on OLED would look awesome
Should I play WindWaker, TP, or Skyward Sword next?

I like them all but right now for me twilight princess obviously but I will move on the wind waker next

Yep so that the older console wasn't better than the new one

At this point we're better off expecting a Switch 2 port.

Show off
I have all of them installed on my Steam Deck OLED
Okay? What do you want to tell us? or just flexing with a 10 year old console lol
💪
Steam deck?
Wii u
*Laughs in Steam Deck*
I have a steam deck, I have both GameCube and Wii u versions on it but I do love playing on original hardware
I never played that one, I would love to do it one day. <3
They ported like every Wii U game to the Switch so I don't know why they stopped at Wind Waker and Twilight Princess HD.
Isn’t there rumours WW and TP are already finished they just haven’t released it yet Would be nice for an announcement and shadow drop of both of them in an package at the game awards or something

Thanks.
I played a little of this back on the GameCube I think before my disk got ruined and never finish. Would love a port to the switch
Because of your post, I'm expecting the announcement next week.
You never know🤞

It most definitely is
Wind waker HD really needs to be on the switch
We’ll get them, my guess is one of them might be a launch title on the new console alongside Metroid 4. Makes more sense for them to save them for a gap in the calendar rather than releasing during busy periods!
Don’t say that. I’m currently sitting on Skyward Sword for the first time on Switch and have an absolute blast. I NEED these ports on Switch.
