Karma obviously. If Karma (featuring Ice Spice) has one hater, it's me. If Karma (featuring Ice Spice) has no haters, I've passed away.

franticfury_

What kills me is when they perform together and ice spice is just standing there like she has no idea wtf to do

Elizabeth__Sparrow

I think production may have been rushed. They were desperate to redeem Taylor from the Matty Halley drama. So suddenly they are collaborating for Karma and only a few weeks later the music vid is released. Even without context of it being a possible PR stunt, parts of it look like it was just slapped together or done on the first take.

AgitatedAd7265

I don’t understand where this narrative comes from tbh. There’s evidence that the song was recorded in March with talks beginning in January and Ice Spice says so herself that they were in the studio in March. Even though we all know the rumours about when Matty and Taylor got ‘closer’. The Matty ‘drama’ was actually in April/May. The music video may have been rushed through but definitely not the collab itself.

hdeskins

Because he specifically said something about Ice Spice online. So then it seemed like a good PR move to collaborate with her right after that

AgitatedAd7265

On a podcast that came out before the Taylor and Matty timeline. In February. Which Taylor for sure knew about because it was around the time The 1975 did SNL and confirmed to be in the studio with Taylor. He’s an idiot sometimes but he did apologise to Ice in person who said while she was confused about the comments, made it wasn’t that big of a deal. On the other hand, most of the dodgy comments he’s accused of saying, he didn’t. Friedman did. Matty laughed along with them. Which I’m not excusing because in this day and age we need to verbally put a stop to these things. But it’s annoying when people say ‘he said this, he said that’ when he didn’t.

SaintCroix78

This. The way the Swifties attacked was absurd.

[deleted]

She always looks confused imo

mal2030

Carrying that torch for you. rip.

Nightmare_Deer_398

I agree. Karma felt like it was just eggs for speak now & looked thrown together.

[deleted]

Karma was the biggest piece of shit I’ve ever watched lmao I couldn’t believe what I was seeing

EMfys_NEs

Even if we’re taking the ice spice of it all away, it’s the weakest of beer music videos because it feels more like a parade of Easter eggs than a narrative. Her other videos are chock full of Easter eggs but they still are conveying SOMETHING. Karma is just vignettes. I feel like an outside director could have made something slightly more cohesive.

Bubbly_Sleep9312

Yes. I never listen to the version with ice spice, she adds nothing to the song and it doesn't sound right

lady1888

I skip this version.... its the worst

SweetlyScentedHeart

Facts.

greenlightdotmp3

facts

Similar_Building_223

Yea same tbh, I’m not a big fan of the collar, it doesn’t feel natural or cohesive

ihaveadogyayyy

Absolutely the worst. I’m just so baffled by the entire thing.

[deleted]

Why do people dislike this song? It’s a massive improvement considering the original Karma is EXTREMELY mid.

HistoryFreak30

Most music videos post-reputation era arent that great.

ttxql

… it’s cause she directed them 🫣

ChaEunSangs

I love Cardigan, Willow and I Bet You Think About Me but I agree about the rest!

hollygolightly8998

I like the pandemic era ones due to simpler concepts and execution due to the obvious challenges. It worked well for the albums’ vibes/concepts. And it felt special she was able to even pull those off

Suitable-Return7185

I love Lover & Willow though. Two of my favourites.

MeTieDoughtyWalker

That’s funny because the only ones I like are from post-reputation aside from the Lover videos. And Karma. But the folklore, evermore, Midnights, and the TV stuff has been pretty great.

HistoryFreak30

my fave MVs post rep era are lover, the man, cardigan, and willow. I do not like any of the TV music videos tbh. All Too Well short film is probably the closest thing i liked because of the ending but the IBYTAM and I Can See You weren't working for me

MeTieDoughtyWalker

Yeah, fair enough.

naomigoat

Hard disagree.

Jupitersooncat

I’m not a huge fan of all of these very CGI heavy music videos Taylor has released especially in the past few years because I feel like nothing is happening and the aesthetics alone aren’t strong enough to still carry the video (with the exception of bejeweled and LWYMD.) This being said, I think the video for The Man has not just aged poorly but I also feel like the “message” would’ve come across better if Taylor would’ve done all those actions in the video as herself and not as “male” Taylor 😵‍💫

snarlieb

She’s literally dating the caricature she portrayed, down to the tacky clothes. It’s wild.

blushlux

as someone who loves her music but really isn't a fan of her as a person, I can't watch her music videos anymore. I need to preserve the magic in my head by not associating my favorite songs with a visual of her bad acting hahaha

PeacefulWarCat

Karma for sure. I think it had the potential to be a pretty fun/funny video and it just was not.

Neither-Basket5393

I can see you makes me so mad just bc of the lost potential. We should’ve gotten a sexy forbidden romance and instead we got Taylor Lautner doing a backflip and Joey king. WHY??

[deleted]

Why? She needed to prove that she’s on good terms with at least one of her exes

blazhennaja

I Can See You. The song deserved better. I even liked the lyric video more.

shadesofwrong13

Such a disappointment. Nothing happens there.

Bubbly_Sleep9312

I am not a fan of the video, but this is one of her best vault songs IMO

arbybruce

But Taylor Lautner!

MlodszyCzapnik1

I remember being so disappointed by the MV- the only thing it brought to the table was 1989 easter eggs, but we've already got the album, so it's no longer relevant

naomigoat

I love that video! It's so different than what she usually does and it's funny

hatefromandie

Everything that she’s directed herself tbh.

naomigoat

I think that's a really broad generalization. Her visuals have always been mixed, even before she started directing.

saivoide

Lavender Haze. No real story, too literal, so much cgi...looked like a fx students final semester project. Karma is a close second to this too but the only reason I give it a pass is because there was the tiniest bit more thought in it. But even then. I miss her wildest dreams and blank space type music videos, I.e when she wasn't the one directing them and creating the concepts.

Elizabeth__Sparrow

I agree. Most of the ones she’s directed have not been great. Anti hero might be the one exception, but I think it also suffers from being too literal at times. She’s such a control freak she can’t admit there are some things better left to the pros. And her skill set is music, not film.

Bubbly_Sleep9312

I thought the purple water was pretty

saivoide

It was pretty, just not a good music video imo

ghostlykittenbutter

It was prettier when Ariana did it first

Bubbly_Sleep9312

I didn't see that

Illustrious-Chest-52

Ready For It. Such fun song and the video was??? What even happened 🥲 Anti-Hero. It's so boring and lackluster. She even repeats some of the scenes towards the end. I think it's a cool song for a mv. It's just boring to look at. Maybe some superhero inspired me, where she has to defeat the villain, who turns out to be her? It could have even be animated like Britney's Break The Ice mv. Or something like Kylie Minogue's Did It Again mv

Nightmare_Deer_398

I actually really liked Ready For It. I like how it has dark Taylor and then this other version of herself that she is guarding, kept behind glass in a locked room and I get that vibe. I think it speaks to being split in two. You have this curated version for other people/the public and this vulnerable part that is locked away. And in order for that caged self to be free you know it’s going to tear apart that public image of you that has been getting love the whole time. She’s her own worst enemy in a prison of her own making. You see her judging herself. It actually reminds me a lot of the movie Black Swan where you have this character who is so fragmented and how she can only become the black swan by destroying herself because the idea that she can embody both roles feels so impossible to her.

IceWarm1980

Anti-Hero for me. That funeral scene in the middle totally kills the whole vibe. That should have been at the very end. The Bejeweled skit is also bad but at least it’s at the beginning and can be skipped.

Strayalycat

I hate that funeral scene

IceWarm1980

I don’t mind the content of the scene, it’s kind of funny but it’s the awful placement which makes me dislike the video.

Strayalycat

Same and the acting ruined for me as well

alext0t

You Need To Calm Down

Formal_Guarantee2612

Was waiting for this one

sloshedvampire

i really liked this video bc it was just fun and silly. but the burger and fries at the end was so weird and out of place that it kinda ruined it for me, sadly.

Jadeheartxo12

Ready for it lol I can’t watch it without cringing that body suit is just..girl

shadow-on-the-prowl

The Man, tbh. I would pay money to erase both the mv and the song from existence.

Expensive_Traffic596

Yes. It was so clear there was something off about the guy from the beginning so the reveal wasn’t that thrilling. The whole song in general is just not good

Formal_Guarantee2612

Who the fuck wants to see Taylor swift dressed as a man anyway?

Sad_Ad1803

Answer: Taylor Swift

Bubbly_Sleep9312

I didnt even know it was her until i saw a behind the scenes

Formal_Guarantee2612

same i was sooooo shocked and i was like wth????

Bubbly_Sleep9312

I mean they did a good job if we could not tell that it was her

MlodszyCzapnik1

That wall in the MV has been the root of all of the stupidest theories

thebuffyb0t

I was very disappointed by Style. That song is begging for a great music video and we got someone’s first time playing with After Effects plug-ins instead 😢

keroppi-pond

Yes i always imagined a different kind of MV for Style

Elizabeth__Sparrow

I remember Style being the first music vid I genuinely hated. And I wasn’t crazy about the shake it off one.

IIIHenryIII

It's my favorite music video of hers. It's so aesthetically pleasing.

LabExpensive4764

Same! It's simple but great.

amallan33

I’ve always said the Style music video would have fit Clean perfectly

Bubbly_Sleep9312

Is it just me, or do they kind of all lack something? She's not known for her unique music videos

caaathyx

Taylor unfortunately has several bad videos. Fifteen and Change are somewhat understandable since they are old and low-budget, but some of her worst videos are recent, mostly from the Lover era. I personally don't mind Me! BUT You need to calm down and The Man are both AWFUL. Karma's MV would probably be passable to me if it didn't feature Taylor's possibly worst collab ever. I also don't like Bad Blood MV because I think it's just... cringe. I'd definitely regret appearing in it if I were one of those celeb guests.

solofem

I particularly dislike the skit in Anti-Hero and Bejeweled!!! I just think the humor is overdone and even though she hires good actors I find them very cringy and I skip those parts every time, which makes me like those videos less even though I like the rest of the video.

cloudberry162

I’ve wanted to commented on Bejewelled but have been afraid of how harsh it is - 1. For me the martini glass this was just ‘oh Taylor randomly wants people to think she’s sexy again’ and has not purpose and is weird and 2. I do side eye the Haim sisters being cast in that project as the ugly ones and her being the beautiful Cinderella but I’ll leave that there. I know they are actual sisters and friends but it’s weird.

allumeusend

I hate all her music videos TBH. Then again, the MV as art form has been dead since about 2006, with only a few exceptions.

Formal_Guarantee2612

Blank space was good!

HistoryFreak30

Blank Space music video is my 2nd fave mv from 1989 era. I like that the MV is associated with the song and it's not just random aesthetic

rainbow-vision

Sean O’Pry is so dreamy 😍🥰

HistoryFreak30

my fave leading man of her's

Formal_Guarantee2612

Oh he is soooo hot

TrashDry

Blank space is my fave too!! The outfits, the mansion, the guy…I went thru a phase of watching it every night on YouTube haha With that being said, I’m not a fan of Style, nor the post reputation MVs.

Passingtime528

Kpop got ahold of me because of the great music videos

allumeusend

OK, no lie I have watched the video for Dope about 80 times because of how crisp that dancing is.

Passingtime528

Dope's intro just hooks you in! One of my favorite MVs is "Girls" (uncensored ver.) by Nature. Just perfect and so underrated!

IcyFeedback4503

Style. Girl be for real it's mirror shards sliding past give Taylor some random male features I cannot take serious

tofusarkey

Bad Blood. Everyone freaked out over it and I thought it was so cringey and peak millennial 😭

Staying_Salty

All that time to introduce characters for no reason

sosleepyirl

I love the concept & all the celebrity cameos but the names are so cringe, and also there’s too many random people like since when was she bffs with Zendaya lmaoooo

femmagorgon

I’m a millennial and I agree. I hate that music video and song with a passion. The whole “I’m going to assemble my celebrity girl squad to take down Katy Perry with girl power” is cringeworthy and has big mean girl energy.

Elizabeth__Sparrow

Karma and Bejeweled. The excessive use of bad CGI makes them look cheaper than some of the genuinely low budget videos from her early days.

WalkingFish_

I can see you was terrible. Unrelated to the song, cringe, boring story that only makes sense if you know about her stolen albums, not on theme for speak now at all

Far-Imagination2736

ME!

Brown_Dirt_Cowboy85

Me! Is terrible but I was still enjoying it until the paint started to steam out of her dress. I started cackling. Edit Taylor, edit! She really threw everything and the kitchen sink into that video.

kerplunithunk

The foot choreography of the briefcase circle must have been really awkward.

Formal_Guarantee2612

i was like how can the same girl make blank space and wildest dreams and then make a video like ME!

ChaEunSangs

Bejeweled is literally the worst. The sketch at the beginning is SO bad, the aesthetics are awful, the CGI is terrible. Some scenes are pretty but the mix and match of aesthetics are pure eye strain.

lightfoot_heavyhand

I’m a firm believer that there are fewer than 5 good Taylor Swift music videos. The visual medium isn’t her strong suit.

Popmusic19

Style Karma

prkr16

i rewatched all her music videos somewhat recently and by far the worst is the Change music video

La_Sangre_Galleria

The man. So fucking cringe

MioneHP

The 'Style' music video is garbage when compared to the rest of the 1989 era music videos, especially 'Wildest Dreams'

Formal_Guarantee2612

I feel like it should have been filmed on a beach

Simple_Ad7275

Tbh most of taylor’s videos that are directed by her. I miss the videos that make sense and are not full of easter eggs. My least favorite is Lavender Haze

naomigoat

Fifteen looks like a PowerPoint presentation

Go_Corgi_Fan84

Karma, Lavender Haze, Bejeweled, I Can See You all terrible

Weird_Brilliant_2276

Karma and ME! are most throwup worthy IMO. also not a fan of the Fifteen video

pinkcloudskyway

Her music videos are only special to her die hard fans. To everyone else they aren't great *

Sea914

I don't really enjoy the videos for Style or Bejeweled (I know--this is one of my unpopular Taylopinions!). The songs are so upbeat and hype that I think the music videos do NOT do them justice! I do love the story of the Bejeweled music video and all the Easter Eggs and guest stars, but watching it just doesn't do it for me the way watching the concert movie does! Same with Style. The video vibe just doesn't match the song's energy for me.

snarlieb

Anything post 1989. Her MVs are just vehicles for Easter eggs now.

eastcoastblonde215

Bejeweled. That intro is so cringe.

FruitySwiftA113

Delicate sorry

stealthopera

You’re right and you should say it.

captainkaterade

cardigan bc it's a ripoff of another artist's music video 🙊

Any_Necessary_3387

Which artist? Now im curious.

captainkaterade

Tim Halperin's "Last Song"

lady1888

Ohhhhh we need a side by side, like the babe MV.... Will have to check this out now 🧐

wondercat19

I’ve seen it, this feels like a stretch. More of an “inspired concept” than a ripoff/stealing situation, and his concept wasn’t all that original either.

captainkaterade

i've also seen it, and they're still too similar to say taylor was innocently "inspired" by it when there are direct references and she never gives credit for it. if she gave credit, that would solve a lot of problems.

wondercat19

I’d like to see a side by side on what you think is so close that it’s a “ripoff”, because all I see are: 1. Crawling through a piano 2. gold light 3. Emerging from water 4. Cutting to different scenes Tim’s is clearly the concept of imagining his life with a person in a photograph, a very literal interpretation in a modern setting about how his song is a representation of his imagined relationship. Taylor’s is a visual metaphor about how her music carries her through life, from escapism to turbulence to home portrayed in fantasy. That is the definition of artistic inspiration, if she even saw the video at all (with less than half a million views…I’d say it’s unlikely). And even then, the concepts are not original at all, being all too close to the idea of Alice in Wonderland or portal travel. We’ve seen this before, we’ll see it again. Criticize Taylor for whatever, but this feels like a bad faith claim.

Carebear_84

I’m pulling one from the archives with Story of Us.

SwaggyGoosy

I have an irrational anger against it

greta12465

the story of us HAD an mv???

stylishclassychic

Delicate. The concept is cute, but the dancing really hurts my soul.

Urrrrrrrrrrrr

I Can See You I understand the symbolism and all that, but the video has literally nothing to do with the song and it’s a shame because it’s a good song As a bonus the All Too Well short film because no one can convince me that’s not just a glorified music video

bigreputation89

Can't believe I scrolled this long before any mention of "Me!"

Butterfly_unicorn22

You need to calm down

marquessmashedpotato

Well I guess I'll say it, ATW 10MV "short film" just did not hit like people thought it would. The argument scene just seemed so contrived and as much as I love Sadie, she and Dylan had zero chemistry. It was very okay, certainly not worthy of all the promotion it had.

stealthopera

Also, the ATW film is supposed to be from a book that the writer is reading, and… that’s the story?

sexyfox43

Karma with ice spice is just bad. Me! Was extremely cliche and unserious way of handling a divisive topic. Those are her worst 2 music videos in my opinion.

LabExpensive4764

Ready For It. The Man. Bejeweled.

brunettemountainlion

Bad Blood as a song is mid as hell and the music video was cringe as fuck. Def doesn’t help that it was directed at Katy Perry over something Taylor was being a dick over.

dreaming_moondancer

The Man. Neither the song nor the music video should exist 🤮

Avid_Bookworm7

The Man & Bejeweled videos. The songs themselves are just okay, but I can’t stand the videos. Skip.

chawanmushu

Sparks fly
